Isn't this old news?Kim Dayu:
Yes and no: These specific lawsuits are new, but at this point, Grand Ivory Record seems to have destroyed itself along with Smart's acting career. Aside from the legal merits, I can't imagine that they stand a chance against a giant like WeTV, backed by the vastly more gigantic resources and power of Tencent, nor can I imagine that we'll see Smart in another BL.
So, I just finished Star in My Mind... I'm debating starting Dare You To Death next... I'm in the mood to see them during more couple moments. Pretty sure despite the premise, I've seen gifsets and read reviews and such that we get more couple moments in DYTDX than SIMM had.. am I right? Or am I wrong?
Not sure if anyone had watched the recent episode of Cat for Cash... but... not getting to see more of the shower scene is either one of the reasons for my villain beginning story or one of my 13 reasons.
The Tasty Florida - 7.3 Fluffy & light with a cast of cuties.Indie Art Girl:
VIP Only - 7.3 Slow but I really enjoyed the romance unfold.
Wedding Plan 7.5 (borderline low score) - Funny, cute and a heartfelt scene that won me over. Plus a great GL couple.
I liked these three! I don't know how to fully describe it properly, but VIP Only had this very intimate and cozy feel to it how it was produced and shot.

This whole SmartBoom Topform situation still pisses me of tbh. Like what was the reason? I was following the situation and statements when they were being posted and everything, and it really just seems like a company got extra greedy, seemingly thought they could break a bunch of contracts and face no consequences. The companies statements going back and forth contradicting and placing blame here and there didn´t exactly clear much up either.
And now Boom has been left in this grey space with no acting partner, Topforms rumoured s2 is there to (there appear to be some kind of Topform related series?/shortfilm? in the works though. presumably until they recast Smarts role). And I can´t imagine that anyone (actor, director, especially production(any kind of sponsor really, even in his singing career) will be willing to risk working with Smart in acting again if this is how his company acts. They have for real completely destroyed Smart´s acting career.
Sorry for the rant but I have been so frustrated about this whole thing and not had anyone to talk to about it.
Ep 9 of Cat for Cash tonight was really sweet. One thing that was yikes about the episode tonight though was the shower scene. I have no idea what they were thinking with that dialogue in the shower LOL.
Tiger:
You know the back... is one of the favorite spots of a cat to be touched. And do you know... where else?
Lynx:
Where?
(Tiger proceeds to move his hand down to Lynx's junk.)
I'm over here screaming like WHAT?? No! No! No! No! No! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU JUST IMPLIED!?! LOL
I believe they did not mean for that dialog to mean what it's unfortunately implying, but that was a really really poor choice to write that dialogue. Omg lol wtf were they thinking?

I can't speak to the controversy, but maybe the series ur thinking of is Akina, which is a shared universe miniseries with Top Form. I haven't heard much about it though.
I agree with Mr. P that the newer BLs are getting higher ratings compared to the oldies.
Love Your Teacher EP 1
Perth & Santa are as cute as ever. I like the role switch with Perth being the "clumsy" one and Santa the "stable" one, until he wasn't. I wanted to see them as a couple for longer before Solar's accident, but I guess it'll come in flashbacks. Whoopee, my favorite. (It's not).
Not sure how it'll go with a seven year old as a partner or how I feel about watching IF it's like that for most of the show. Looks like the plan is to have Solar's personality switch between child and adult? Randomly?
The set is colorful and I like it...for the classroom NOT their personal living space. Looks like K-grade kids live there. Isn't that romantic? No, it's not. 🍭
I'm in until I don't wanna be, lol, but hoping for the best for Perth & Santa. I can't imagine what it must feel like to wait with anticipation for viewer feedback/acceptance/rejection when a new series starts. My stomach would be doing somersaults. 🙀
ETA: I liked seeing the touching scenes! As in heartfelt I mean, not the NC kind of touching scenes. 😆

Now u got me curious, but I didn't look at ur spoilers. I'm waiting until CFC is finished or until I'm mentally prepared to watch a cast of talking cats.

The spoiler text is the lines between Tiger and Lynx while they were in the shower that I was referring to. The cats talking is actually very minimal throughout the series. The cats tend to just have dialogue briefly during key scenes. They aren't talking with full dialogue regularly.

Oh, now I'm imagining 2 cats in the shower having an NC dialogue...

It was a really awesome first episode. I think the way they started it from a retrospective is how they are going to continue to roll out the series. Seems like the series will be a retelling format of all the events that we will watch as the main series content. I assume they will end the series where they are at the very start with Perth talking at the podium and they will take it from there once the story is brought to present.
I did notice how over the top their apartment was for looking pretty much indistinguishable form the school classrooms lol. It didn't really bother me too much, but I do understand how that's a bit distracting for where they spend their personal and intimate time together. I guess they really want 5to drive home the point that being teachers of young kids is a major part of both of their lives together.

Yesterday - episode 8
I think I am a bit lost after watching this episode, as it relates to plot development and realism of the story within the context of the conflicts being portrayed.
Can someone who is watching, if you do not mind, give me their take on the series thus far?
Damn, I spent an hour writing this summary, only to realize I only finished ep 7, not 8. I’ll leave this here but i can respond again once I watch ep 8. I don’t want to pay for fast track, so it won’t be til next Monday.
Ok, I’ll sum up what I think through episode 7. SPOILERS AHEAD. SPOILERS AHEAD. SPOILERS AHEAD. Too hard to rewrite everything grayed out.
Veir—most straight-forward character and primarily serves as conduit for audience point of view. Known for being honest and good-hearted despite being heir to a major company. Kelvin decides to use him and manipulate him in order to gain info. Kelvin can use to take over Kelvin’s father’s company. Veir at first just sees Kelvin as a f*ck buddy, but grows to love him and trust him over time. Veir is devastated to be betrayed by Kelvin, even for business purposes. He believed they were deeply in love and could trust Kelvin completely. At first he tries to resist being kept hostage by Veir, and even runs away for awhile, but eventually he gives in and just stays with Kelvin, albeit not as a lover. No matter what Kelvin does, Veir remains sympathetic to Kelvin because of Kelvin’s awful experience growing up ostracized and without love. I think he still partly loves Kelvin.
Kelvin—misused and abused by his family, Kelvin is smart and manages to bring them down and take over. He starts simply using Veir, but actually falls in love with him and believes Veir can and will give him the love he’s been lacking his whole life. He is a sociopath, though, and cannot understand why the information he steals from Veir is seen as a betrayal. He needs Veir to keep loving him, so he holds Veir hostage long-term. When he sees Veir changing and becoming depressed, he again does not understand Veir or what he, Kelvin, has done wrong. It appears that he murdered Lalit, but he in fact only knocked him out and tied him up. When Veir is arrested for Lalit’s murder, Kelvin is truly distraught and wants to do anything he can to prove Veir didn’t do it.
Ken—narcissist lacking any moral compass or loyalty. When Veir brings down his family company, he simply switches loyalties and uses his father-in-law to maintain his wealth and power. Doesn’t care about his father or brother or in-laws or his wife. Resents Veir for siding with Kelvin against him and helping take his family company away from him. Seems pretty unintelligent but is apparently smart enough and powerful enough to continue hurting others. He paid a gang to kidnap Veir at one point and to kill Lalit. It is not yet clear why he killed Lalit, although possibly because Lalit had dirt on him, and/or was loyal to Veir, and/or was helping Kelvin. Ken pays a police detective to use evidence Ken has provided and/or falsify evidence in order to frame Veir for Lalit’s murder. No one else seems to know for sure that he is doing this, but they do suspect him. Ken makes sure the gangster responsible for the crimes is not held or arrested for them, but Ken then has him killed so he cannot say anything about who paid him.
Lalin—Ken’s wife and Lalit’s older sister. CEO of Loyde group. Lives separately from her husband or father. Hires Nana to work for her as a bodyguard and assistant, and also has an affair with her even though it’s not clear if she trusts her. Is working with her brother Rawit and Veir to find their brother Lalit. When Veir is arrested, she is willing to talk to Kelvin to help clear Veir. Despite being head of Loyde group, she wants to bring the company down, probably for revenge against her father and husband who used her for their own gain.
Nana—friend of Veir’s who somehow goes from being innocent and inexperienced to being an expert bodyguard, investigator, and personal assistant. Works for Lalin to investigate Loyde group’s involvement in her parents’ death and to help Veir get away from Kelvin, if possible. Later tries to help Veir when he is arrested. She Has an affair with Lalin despite not trusting her. Seems to be falling in love and starting to trust Lalin.
Rawit—Lalit’s older brother. He hasn’t seen Lalit in years and is trying to work with his sister and Veir to track down Lalit. Later wants to find who killed Lalit. Is fairly innocent and does not appear to see how manipulative everyone around him is.
Lalit—Veir’s former assistant and long-lost brother of Lalin and Rawit. Also Veir’s best friend. Very loyal to Veir and tries to protect him from others. Apparently is dead, but maybe not since we don’t know how much real evidence the police have vs. how much they’ve fabricated.
I think this last episode was the pivot in the series to show that Kelvin is not as evil as we thought. I assume Veir will eventually forgive him, although that’s still questionable given how long Kelvin kept him captive and how little Kelvin understands what he did wrong. The most evil person is clearly supposed to be Ken, although this seems kind of simplistic to blame so much on him given how little complexity his character has compared to everyone else.
I’m not sure all the above is correct but that’s my take. Hope it helps.
I haven’t completely enjoyed this drama so far but it’s definitely kept me guessing. Also Fort and Peat are doing a great job.

Sammy’s Children’s Day—episodes 1 & 2
excellent so far but quite violent. Mafia-themed story. Interesting sexual tension already.
in Cantonese, which I don’t think I’ve heard in a drama before. From Hong Kong.
im really watching too many currently airing shows already—16–but I worried I’d see spoilers for this if I didn’t start.

You made me so curious (I haven't read your spoiler voluntarily) I have watched the episodes before but not this one yet I was gonna wait a few days but I don't think I can now I need to know

I haven't thought about this but now that you said it, it feels a bit weird but I think it goes well with Solar's personnality but it will goes even more with 7 years old Solar.

I understood it the right way. When I say it I also mention that I cried so I don't think people assume I'm talking about NC scenes 😆 so there is less chance of a misunderstanding.

Thank you I'm not there yet I will only watch it after Cat for Cash is done airing but I will write down the page to come back after I watched it. I was already a bit lost with the first 2 episodes so your post will surely help me a lot.
