It's good to be back at my own PC, taking full advantage of emojis 😁😁 Finally 😄

Deep Night presents one view, Love Like a Bike a totally different one. It makes me wonder if there are different kinds of host clubs.

The host club from Playboyy is what came to my mind 😏

 p43425:
(North is so cute when he gets all hormoned up. His flirting with Otto was probably my favourite thread within "Third Chapter". It sure makes me want to believe that North/Otto is real!

Agreed 💯 It seems to me that in every edition there's at least one participant mistaking DMD Friendship for a dating show 🤭

 dora:
i don’t know how I feel about the premise of this show. Do I want to watch Perth take care of seven-year-old Santa? I’m not sure I do. id prefer to see them both acting like adults.

That's exactly the reason I've got doubts about starting this one 🙁 Although many of you liked the first episode...

THE BOY NEXT WORLD - comparative review
First of all, I'd like to point out I'm not familiar with the source material, I've never read the novel. This review is based solely on its two adaptations. I can't judge which is more faithful to the novel. I'm not sure whether the order of watching affects the overall impression, but I've started by watching the Japanese remake and right after that I've watched the Thai original.
Plot -> Both adaptations have got 10 episodes, only in Thai version they are longer. First nine episodes are pretty much the same in both, they follow a similar script, the only difference is that the Japanese version feels more coherent and concise. The Thai original provides more details (like the fact that Phu is Tharn's cousin 😮). Strangely enough, I took the Japanese version in as it was, but the Thai one made me question things. I think in the Thai original there are tiny bits of dialogue that made me ask unnecessary questions (no answers were provided to them 🙅‍♀️).
Ending -> Both couples have got the same ending in both versions. The significant change occured in the storyline of Cir/Sara and his family. The Thai original made me feel frustrated, the Japanese remake does it a lot better imho. In the remake justice is served, but in the original they remain at an impasse.
Main Couple -> Now this really depends on a personal taste. There are people who prefer one to the other, but for me both couples were on pretty much the same level. Both couples, BossNoeul as well as ShomaTakuto, have acted together before, both look comfortable with each other and both share believable chemistry.
NC Scenes -> When it comes to LitA I could see BossNoeul's supremacy, but here both couples seem to be on a similar level. ShomaTakuto got more intense scenes compared to LitA. Also, NC scenes in the Japanese remake last a little longer (yes, I've checked 🤓😏).
Second Couple -> JinTaiga can't hold a candle to JinWim. I much prefer the Thai version of Jin. Japanese Jin feels too stiff and overly serious. Also the second couple in the original has got a lot better chemistry (their kiss in the special episode gave me butterflies 🥰).
Minor Characters -> A couple characters were cut in the remake. It didn't affect the quality overall, I think. Some characters were better in the original (like Jin or Ozone), some were better in the remake (like Sara's mum). I think their friend group was more or less on a similar level.
To sum it up, each version's got its pros and cons. When it comes to plot, I prefer the Japanese version. When it comes to second couple and minor characters, I prefer the Thai version. I love both main couples the same. I don't think I'll rewatch this, but if I were to, I'd probably choose the Japanese remake.

Secret (18+)
This one was disturbing. Main actor did a very good job, which made it so uncomfortable to watch 😟

Fourever You 2 ep 10
Donut's case got solved and now we're moving on to Arthit's case. I haven't read the novel, so I've got so many questions: Who is Emma? What happened to Arthit's mum? Why did Dao dye his hair blue? Who is K? Dao's ex? I'm intrigued. Dao and Arthit somehow make a really interesting couple. And, correct me if I'm wrong, they're the only couple that didn't know each other before and had not longed for one another for years before getting together.

Only Friends 2 ep 3
Boston, you have been missed 🤗 I wonder if he'll make matters better or worse between Tua and Arnold. What Raffy did was a low blow, but at least it helped Jack and Dean. Rome is rightfully angry. I can't wait what the next episode will bring.

Duang with You ep 7
I finally enjoy the main couple, so that's good 😉 I hope, probably in vain, that we'll get to see more of the two other couples. This episode started so well, with that shower scene and sex talk and a sponge bath, then it turned bitter. All the doubts and insecurities piled up and turned into such painful silence. I don't blame Qin though. I blame Tiw and his crazy friend Cho. Do they really think, after months of radio silence, Qin would change his mind and suddenly become interested in Tiw? Qin told him honestly that Duang is more than just a friend. And the fact that he still keeps Tiw's teddy bear has got nothing to do with his feelings. Seriously, I keep a lot of teddies, some of them were a gift from an ex, that doesn't mean I've still got feelings for them. So I don't blame Qin and I only hope that Duang opens up about his insecurities. If he doesn't talk about them, Qin won't be able to dispel them.

Love Like a Bike eps 2-3
Good watch so far. Tawan and Dindin fight like cat and dog, tension between them rises. Sky is torn between his loyal client P'Man and his new client Nava. Both are very possessive of him. Isn't it a little risky to fall for a host from the club? He can't be exclusive with anyone, since flirting with others is a part of his job. Sailom has fallen for Doc and even started therapy. Unfortunately, I was right and he was hurt in a similar manner to Type. It breaks my heart, because it happens way too often irl. I'm glad they showed Sailom's therapist is someone else. Your therapist can't have a personal relationship with you, nor can people in a group therapy. I hope they'll be able to help Sailom overcome his trauma and get free from his disgusting stepfather 😰 I'm not sure if Nabnueng reciprocates Sailom's feelings or he just empathises with him. I also wonder what is going on between Nabnueng's birth mum and his adoptive mum.

The Masked Hearts eps 3-4
Their past love story is doomed, but I hope the present will provide a happy ending. So far mostly their past love story has been shown. Not only do they have to deal with their different social status and father's disapproval, but also with another man hungry for some Thotsakan. I don't like that schemer. In the present we've only seen the conflict between Sand and Lucky and yet to see how they solve it. I must admit I really like this little series. It's a nice watch 😃

Venus's Groom ep 4
It's interesting, because it's my first time seeing a BL with a typical lakorn plot. The last episode proved me right, it is a typical slap&kiss lakorn. Unfortunately, I can't stand that type of plot😠  Even though I've got NDD, I'm putting this one on hold. I'd finish watching this only if I were in a masochistic mood 💀

Sweet Blood ep 1
Only seen one episode and I'm putting it on hold. One student tells others a story about vampires, one pure blood vampire prince Luciel and one human hybrid Lucifer, whose thirsty for some human blood. Minwoo gets a nosebleed and it turns out he's got some blood disorder, which makes him a perfect prey (MGB déjà vu). Then he got bitten by a vampire and turned into one? My guess is he's a half-vampire from the start, but who knows?

(TBC tomorrow)

It's really sad for Smart...

Yeah...when it all happened he was crying on a live.

As far as I know Smart is like the only even somewhat wellknown artist of his agency, and then said agency basically nuked his career for their own greed...

Just finished Love after addiction : a bit messy all along, but nice scenery and a decent OST

I'm not at all familiar with any of this. It sounds awful though. Poor guy.

I’ve finished The Next Prince. I liked it some scenes felt a bit draggy at times, but overall it was a good watch. I was invested in all three couples, but I wanted to see more of the two secondary ones, especially Ramil and Paytai. I was expecting more screen time for them in the last episode, especially since it was over 90 minutes long.
The chemistry of JimmyOhm was really good, especially considering it was their first time working together. I’ll definitely follow all their future projects I’m sold (half thanks to DMD frienship). Surprisingly, I was also invested in the political aspect. And I have to say, I hated Ramil’s father the actor did such a good job, I wanted to punch him every time he was on screen 😆 8/10.

I’ve finally watched episode 7 of My Romance Scammer, and it was so good! I’m really satisfied with the timing of the reveal it’s exactly how I imagined it. I hope Pai doesn’t forgive Tim too easily… he shouldn’t. I’m excited to see their new dynamic in the next episode now that Tim is going to be 100% himself.
I died at the end of the episode when Tim said that North couldn’t help Pai because he was sleeping, and then North dramatically fell asleep in U’s arms.
That kind of comedic moment really reminded me of a scene in We Are.

Oh! it is frustrating! And to add to the awkwardness of the situation, after this whole mess started SmartBoom still had to do a event together and you could just tell that neither of them were okay. Like the difference in how they were acting was obvious.

There is obviously fanservice with BL acting pairs, but they seemed to genuienly like eachother as friends before all this and at their final event it was like they couldn´t even look at eachother. So Smarts agency not only destroyed his career but a friendship as well.

Sorry I went on a rant again

after many days... I am finally watching " I love you teacher " , wish me luck! been hearing good reviews

Ok, I’ll sum up what I think through episode 7. SPOILERS AHEAD. SPOILERS AHEAD. SPOILERS AHEAD. Too hard to rewrite everything grayed out.

Thank you!

 dora:
I haven’t completely enjoyed this drama so far but it’s definitely kept me guessing. Also Fort and Peat are doing a great job.

It has lost me to be honest.

 RXinw:

Thank you!

It has lost me to be honest.

I’m still curious to see how it all wraps up.

This one was disturbing. Main actor did a very good job, which made it so uncomfortable to watch 😟

I am yet to find the deeper meaning in this mini-series. I am choosing to believe that it is not just disturbing for disturbing sake; there has to be hidden meaning somewhere. I just cannot find it.

 ZhouYanRan:

I need to start on "Love Like A Bike" so I can understand what you and Dora are talking about!

 ZhouYanRan:
I don't think I'll rewatch this, but if I were to, I'd probably choose the Japanese remake.

(re "BNW") I think I'd say the same: Boss & Noeul were great (as always), but I also love Nagumo Shoma
and my cutie-patootie Hamaya Takuto - and as you say, the Japanese remake cleans up the story a bit, especially at the end.

 Indie Art Girl:
How is it so far?

(re "FY2: Sun From Another Star") As of the first three episodes, I like it! This second part of the "Part 2" trilogy has (for me) a very engaging story, even though the BL part has yet to blossom (which I'm sure will start soon, probably next episode), and Oat (as Dao) plays an interesting role. It's also notable that Dao has two dads. The open questions which @ZhouYanRan mentions above make it particularly engaging, i.e. I'm eagerly awaiting the next episodes to find out the answers.

That being said: It's a ghost story, and although it's not at all scary to me, I'm not sure whether it's anything for you.

I wasn't planning to watch this, but now you've made me curious (probably against my better judgement).

You've just confirmed my decision not to watch this!

 ZhouYanRan:
Sweet Blood ep 1
Only seen one episode and I'm putting it on hold.

I'll probably watch this. Sounds like a vampire trainwreck, but then again, I often enjoy these BL trainwrecks (especially with cuties, and Lee Sang Min is a cutie).

I'm starting DMD frienship the third chapter it's the season with the least familiar faces to me.  I think not many of them have already worked together so there is more suspens. I only know one of the final pairings I tried to avoid spoilers. I hope there will be a lot of pairings created. So happy to see Copper I hope it goes well for him !
