Does this mean that the filming was already done back when this was under Hanyang Studio? Between Hanyang's awful track record (notably "Love Is Like A Cat", one of the worst BLs I've seen), Barcode now being with GMMTV, and Jeff Satur's company denying this and threatening legal action (maybe because they know it's a train wreck), I can't imagine how this will work out.

what are your criteria for a cute and fluffy show? Can it have serious elements? I’m keeping a cute and fluffy show list but sometimes I’m not sure what to include. Most recently I added Cat for Cash. I want it to be shows that people find comforting. Maybe i should add notes about serious parts of the story?
For me it can includes serious elements as long as there is more cute elements. Cat for cash is a good exemple.

i feel like i had heard somewhere that the show had been completely filmed already, it was just that the company went under or something so it never got released? i hadn't heard yet about his company threatening legal action, seems like a mess 😅 as much as i would love to see jeff and barcode back on screen together maybe this one isn't worth it lol

Same as Tiffany. For sure more fluff than heavy, but some serious things are ok too. For me if the plot starts focusing on the angst or toxic it's no longer a cute and fluffy watch, if that makes sense.

i haven’t watched ep3 yet but I honestly don’t know how I’m going to get through this show. I hate the premise and so far it’s been really stupid. (Sorry if that’s offensive. It’s just not making sense for me.) i’d be happy to just watch the flashbacks. I will try to keep watching because PerthSanta are my favorites from Perfect 10 Liners. But, ugh, this is going to be a slog.

I have not watched Khemjira, so I am not speaking specifically to it in saying the following:
I honestly find it unfair that Shine has not gotten the spotlight as compared to other series with far less depth. However, I do think that because of its serious nature and depth of plot it is for a more mentally mature audience as well as there may be many people who watch BLs for an escape, and find more preference in the numerous light and less serious BLs, so those BLs get more hype.
Notwithstanding that, I find it downright criminal that award boards have not been more generous to Shine in comparison to other series that fall short by a long shot in comparison.
These are my two cents.
