Late to comment but I love this change! AouBoom are killing their roles in Only Friends: Dream On. I was just in Thailand for Songkran and JD's Fan Concert. I finally learned how to pronounce Aou Thanaboon Kiatniran's first name. They're a favorite of mine, and I've been saying his name wrong all these years.
Hope you’re enjoying your trip! JD Fan concert sounds great. Free fan concerts sound like a nightmare, especially for someone like me who doesn’t like crowds. Regarding Aou’s name, there is a BL fan who speaks Thai/is Thai speaks English who makes clips about BLs mostly, but she did several about name pronunciation. She started with how to say Tle (“ter”), and got requests for more. I’ll see if I can find the clip. I’m sure we all struggle with lots of names.
Regarding catching up with the group, it’s really hard if you’ve been gone. Especially since lately we’ve been clocking 2-5 pages a day. I think the official BL group with different discussion topics would be useful for anyone who’s not active here, but we’re used to our ongoing discussion format so changing is hard.
You can check Art Girl’s upcoming shows list for show date announcements you’ve missed, though. Or just wait for us to start talking about new shows. Lol.

Ditto. I've always liked First Chalongrat - and while he's an experienced actor who has played some good roles, Ohm Sarit seems to have zero acting experience, so I'll be interested to see what he/they can deliver.
Also, the reason “Wu” was taken off Gaga was because people said a bromance didn’t belong on an LGBTQ streaming app. I have mixed feelings about this, but mainly I’m just upset because I wanted to watch it.
Ditto on both counts (mixed feelings: understand on principle but mainly displeased because I wanted to watch it).
Free fan concerts sound like a nightmare, especially for someone like me who doesn’t like crowds.
I like crowds even less: Even ticketed concerts would be way too many people for me.

Today is Busy BL Friday - but of the eight (!) series with episodes airing today ("Contrast", "Love Upon A Time", "Fact Fact Lips", "Feel What You Feel", "Love Of Silom", "OF2: Dream On", "Sammy's Children's Day" and "Sweet Blood"), I'm currently only watching the first three.
I've been enjoying "Contrast" quite a lot as a generally decent JBL, tightly focused on the protagonists and the development of their feelings and relationship.
I've been somewhat disappointed in "Love Upon A Time", despite my overflowing enthusiasm for the Domundi boys, and wish they had toned down the attempted silly comedy. Hopefully I'll feel more engaged as it becomes more about the two love stories.
From the first episode, "Fake Fact Lips" was promising.
In addition to "Contrast", "Sammy's Children's Day" and "Sweet Blood" are also reaching their final episodes today, so I think I'll binge watch both of these this weekend (time permitting). Everyone's been raving about "Sammy", so my expectations are high. My expectations for "Sweet Blood" are not so high, but it's short, and Lee Sang Min is a cutie-patootie.
Love Class 3 is coming May 28.

I liked S1 okay, but not S2.
(re "Love Class") Both were flawed (S2 more so) but reasonably cute and enjoyable.
Actually, my biggest issue with S2 was why they called it "Love Class 2", as it had almost no overlap or similarity with the first "Love Class", and it's not like S1 was such a great success.
In any case, I'll surely watch S3 on the assumption that it's cute fluff.
I hated To my shore from the first to the last ep. Still mad at myself for not dropping it. I think because I was watching it while it aired I finished it, but this one was a total nonsense to me.
when does it get better? The last 30 minutes were ok-ish.

how long have you been learning Chinese? I'm eying a BA in Chinese (for beginners) here at my university but I'm already so busy and I don't think I can find the time for the 20 hours / week for it. Or I may just stop watching dramas at all! Pretty curious to know how long it took you to reach this level.
this is embarrassing but I've been studing it for about 4 years now. But if you take in random breaks from time to time (like 4 to 6 month every year) i guess you can cut that in half. For me its just a passive hobby, but I absolutely love it. I just get distracted then I will drop everything and do nothing but study... then get distracted again 😅
