I accidentally watched EP 1 part 4/4 of The Boyfriend Express this morning. I'm not fully awake yet so I didn't catch it til I looked for part 2/4, lol.

I think Chinese BLs are the best out of the genre altogether. What do you guys think?
I have long been saying this here. As much as I love and appreciate other BLs from other countries, it is always a matter of hit or miss; which could be attributed to the sheer volume they are producing per year. Whereas Chinese BLs, at least for me, oftentimes are a hit. China does not release a lot of series per year (for various reasons I am not going to get into), but the series they do release are of good quality. In my opinion this is a good example of quality over quantity.
I think Chinese writers are more intentional about the stories they want to portray to audiences, and they tend to write stories with considerable depth with complex characters whose characterisations are entire stories by themselves. They make you feel the elements and emotions of the series in a uniquely palpable way that series from other countries are unable to do in mass. For example, you will find that small sub-set of Thai BLs that move you emotionally; I doubt you will find a very large group of series doing that from Thailand - in my opinion. For me, it is easier to count the Chinese series that do not move me emotionally than those that do.

I think Kyle and Andres had their time in season 1, and it should end here. I think such an ending would make for a far more interesting story. Not all characters need a happy romantic ending. There can be a lot to portray and feel from a character whose story ends in closure than an happily ever after.
Andres and Doc (MJ) have shown out as a lead couple this season, and I think their story holds such feelings that they have completely displaced the original pairing.
I dare you to look at the evidence and deny these two a shot at being endgame 🥺 it would be an injustice, an affront to the BL universe to do so.
Mind you this forehead kiss was after they finished making out 😍
