First time I see someone mentionning YYY I watched it when it came out but I have few memories of it I remember it was silly and I watched it for Talay after seeing him in The Engineer and wanting to watch more of him. But I was obsessed with the OST I still listen to it from time to time. Now that it's in my head I have to share it 😆

This series was not the most enjoyable for me.
It had me in the beginning, but the drag was real!
I think so much time was spent on unnecessary scenes that it got frustrating to watch.
At this point I must highlight the fact that I prefer confessions or some relationship foundation by the halfway mark.
In the end I just did not feel this one.

Painter of the Night, May 28, vertical. I've read a bit of the webtoon but I don't think I will watch it maybe a few minutes by curiosity.

I’ve just finished episode 2, and with the overall ambiance, I feel like it could go either way. If it were from Thailand, Japan, or Korea, I wouldn’t even be asking myself this question. It would almost automatically be a happy ending, but Hong Kong... 🤔
It’s interesting last Friday I was binge-watching a Hong Kong BL set in the 80s, and this Friday I’m binge-watching a Hong Kong BL set in the 2000s. Maybe next week I’ll watch one set in the present day.
ETA : Like most of the time, when there are two couples, I always want to see more and more of the second couple.

I can understand verticals for fluff, but for a more serious and visual historical which I assume that "Painter" is, yeah, it makes no sense - other than as a money grab, which is exactly what verticals tend to be. (As Dora says, Lezhin Snack is expensive and, unlike Shortime, doesn't provide any opportunity to watch by enduring ads and such.)

(re "Knock Knock Boys") I quite enjoyed it, despite some considerable weaknesses in story and writing. It's very lightweight comedy with some parts better than others, but generally cute with just enough sex appeal and cuties.
I also like Seng (especially as Toh in "Secret Crush"), but in this series, I especially enjoyed Jaonine.
Anyways, if you like fluff (which RXinw, being of more refined tastes, generally does not), you might want to try an episode or two and see if it's for you.

By the way, I don't mean to criticise MDL. It's not perfect, but it's very good - and as the saying goes, "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good." (Voltaire was such a such a smartie!).
I am a paying member ("VIP") of MDL, and for those who can afford it, it helps to keep MDL alive.
I also regularly donate to World of BL, which I likewise consider an invaluable resource, even though the person has more trouble keeping up with the kazillion new BL titles these days.

Unrelated to BL necessarily, but I resumed playing the BL game NU Carnival today. After a break of a couple? years. Some new exciting things happened to the game while I was gone. So it turns out I want to play it again. Even though building a team in that game is painfully slow. A lot of things are under a paywall too, the shop is thriving.
I'm also installing Infinity Nikki on my phone again. I had it on my previous laptop but my current laptop is slow as hell with games like these (or any game for that matter), so I gotta resort to playing games on my phone. I hope the 36 GB can be downloaded in due time. I wanna play it asap today.
I haven't been watching BL for the past 2 days. But I'm going to get back into We Best Love first season today, hopefully. If I get a break from games that is. I love these games but it's like, they take a lot of time out of my day (which now is good!) so I'm going to have to pace myself. Play for a bit, watch an episode, go for a walk and in general have fun.
