Cherry Blossoms After Winter - ep 4 out of 8 -> I'm SO bored!

I'm really bored of this show. It's a snooze fest. What can I do? I have to watch the second half. :(

I don't think it works to speed it up a bit either... but maybe I'll do that.

Bummer, I loved that show. If it's not for you, just drop it.

I revived my no drop rule, so I can't do that... but I'll watch it on 2x speed.

The way I don't want to see any of those BLs. But I voted for Khemjira Forever one. Even though I haven't seen Khemjira at all.

I just... am so uninterested in Thai BL. There are a few gems here and there, but GMMTV BL is just lame now. Most of it is so bland and boring. Same old, same old.

Are you more interested in Korean or Chinese BLs? I personally think Chinese BLs are peak, even the censored ones. How you feel about Thai BLs is how I feel about Japanese BLs đŸ€

One of the reasons I hate Viki is they have no options on video speed. đŸ˜©

I'm a frequent speed watcher, so that has long been my #1 technical pet peeve on Viki.

But good news: Viki very recently added video speed to the browser version, so I'm hopeful that they'll soon also add it to the smartphone app.

Tiffany:
I hope your family and friends are safe.
jazme:
that's scary. i hope your friends and family are safe

Thank you for the well wishes!

I didn't realize Ticket to Heaven is based on a real story until this short showed up.

Chinese BLs over Korean BLs. But also, I love Japanese BLs so we're not alike when it comes to them. But that's alright, every BL fan has different tastes. I used to be interested in Thai BLs but nowadays rarely if ever do they catch my interest. They went with quantity over quality and that shows.

Indie Art Girl:

Blue Lips coming July 8. It mentions the first 3 eps so maybe all three will release at the same time? On Gaga, I think.

I can't wait for this one !

It's amazing, really. I got gagged when I found it. This drama, this story, touches in parts so sensible of me that I must say it's been one of the best of GMMTV's BLS so far.

It's a P'Aof direction so of course it's good. I'm happy about it, at least there is one title in gmmtv roster that I might like. :)

I saw a clip of P'Aof, Gemini and Fourth, where Gem was teasing P'Aof about being Barth.

Two reasons why I'm super keen to watch "Are the Sexy Buttocks Not Good?" the moment that it posts to Gaga tomorrow:
(1) The title, haha!
(2) Sakai Sho 💕

ETA: It's now posted, whoo-hoo!

Now starting on my binge catch-up of "Deep In" (Viki). Not even ten minutes into the first episode and it's completely won me over!

BL dramas I'm enjoying:

  • Deep In: The MLs are rookie actors but they're both doing great. The roles are fairly complex. They're playing straight actors filming a movie where they both get very immersed in their roles. Five episodes have been released so far, and I've lost count of the NC scenes. In one scene they were filming, the director had to empty the room so that Zhen Xin's assistant can help the actor clean himself up after actually releasing his load on his fellow actor. The scene was beautifully shot with the director opening a can of soda that spurted out at the same time. @RXinw, you might enjoy this one.

  • The Edge of Horizon: Inn Jakkrasin was in The Wicked Game as a bodyguard for the oldest brother. I'm not familiar with Ongsa Tthuchh, but I have to say he looks really good in historical costumes. Pond Ponlawit has a support role. The 51-minute episodes went by quickly and I watched 3 in one sitting. Waiting for Saturdays will be difficult.

  • The Prosecutor's Proposal: An intense crime show about a prosecutor and an investigator, who doesn't realize they have a prior connection. The hate sex is intense.

  • Ticket to Heaven: I just completed this show. GemFourth have exceeded my expectations. Their eyes, facial expressions, micro-expressions and gestures conveyed so much. I was mesmerized. The use of lighting and music was also perfect and enhanced the drama. There have been so much (mostly polite) discussions online after every episode, mainly questions about Catholicism and Christianity. There are a lot of sharing, too, about former Catholics who have left the church because of their homophobic teachings. Many people felt that Tanrak and Barth should also have left the church. And maybe they have. We don't actually see that part of their life, whether they stayed religious and active in their local church. What we do know is that Tanrak stayed true to his faith and continued to love God and that Barth started praying again at his mother's request. Kudos to P'Aof Noppharnach who was the Screenwriter and Director. From what I've heard, the show is semi-autobiographical.

  • After all those high anxiety dramas, my perfect antidote is When Oranges Fall. Almond and Progress were fantastic rookie actors in LoveSick 2024 IMO, and they're even better here. This is just a feel-good coming-of-age high school drama with a best friends to fĂŠn trope. I smile the whole time I'm watching it.

This lovely series is currently the highlight of my week! Agree also that Almond and Progress, who were great in "Love Sick 2024", are reaching new heights. Almond can express so much feeling without even saying a word.
