Guys is it true Pond and Phuwin are actually dating irl? I saw on IG one of those announcements from GMM about this. Dated September 2026 sometime by the end of the month. 24?26? Idk. So, what do you think? If this is true, did you guys discuss it at the time here? I failed to see anything because I'm not that active anymore.

it might be edited/created by fans, unless its posted directly from the company or the actors official page, i didnt see anything official about it on x app i also didnt see people congratulating them

Yeah I think I saw the same thing on IG and it looked like a fan edit.

Teach Me, Touch Me ep1

I loved James Pongsapak in Don’t Say No, so I’ve been waiting to see him in another drama. This one looked fun from the trailers. I think it will be fun, but I wouldn’t say it’s high quality. The dialogue wasn’t exactly sophisticated, and it looks rather low budget.

Yeah I am bit confused after episode 1, because I also got the feeling this is somehow not as high budget and quality of a production compared to the impression the trailer and the roster of cast the show has. It could be that this gets better, but let's just say I was not that impressed. Also the content of the episode 1 was mostly the main character getting continuously humiliated, which didn't sit well with me and it didn't exactly make me want to watch another episode. Usually first episode should be the one that gets you hooked wanting to see more, this didn't exactly succeed in that aspect.

dora:
I didn’t know Park Seoham had a currently airing show, so I’m happy to hear that. Now I want to watch it, of course. I don’t watch that many straight kdramas, but there are a few actors I love so much, I’ll watch whatever they do.

I'm the same ! That reminds me, I still need to watch Pond and Phuwin's straight dramas.

As far as I know, it's just that everyone at GMMTV likes to ship them and tease them, but they're not a real couple.

The Chemistry

This looks sooo adorable and prob gonna be a good watch for me. I love this couple! I don't know if I can wait to binge watch.

ETA: Yeah I have not seen any official post regarding Pond and Phuwin dating. They are usually quick to state they are good friends, but nothing more.

On the other hand, I may have seen a very recent post of Mix's on insta sharing he is dating Earth in irl. Maybe everyone already knows but me, lol.

any other reco on this era? =D

For KBLs from 2022 that I don't see on your completed list, I'd recommend Blueming and To My Star (both seasons). From 2023, I'd recommend Our Dating Sim !

@Jazme, in addition to "Semantic Error" and these three very popular KBLs ("Our Dating Sim" is one of my personal faves!), here are some other KBLs from 2020 - 2023 that I especially liked (semi-chronological, i.e. not ranked):

"Where Your Eyes Linger"
"Wish You: Your Melody From My Heart" (nice music theme)
"Color Rush"
"Light on Me"
"Tasty Florida"
"Tinted With You" (historical)
"Cherry Blossoms after Winter"
"Choco Milk Shake" (dog/cat theme)
"Shoulder To Cry On"
"Eighth Sense" (excellent indie)
"Love Mate"
"Sing My Crush" (nice music theme)

I'm too lazy to carefully check your watchlist, so apologies if you've already watched some of these.

In addition, Lueur maintains a very good list of favourite KBLs.

thanks so much for this!

dora:

Regarding recommendations for early kdramas, I second Mr. P’s list. I liked all of those. Where Your Eyes Linger and the Eighth Sense made strong impressions on me, but I’ve also rewatched almost all the shows on that list. My biggest complaint about KBLs is they’re generally pretty short. But it does make them easy rewatches. For KBL recommendations, I would add Jun & Jun from 2023, and Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo, Love for Love’s Sake, The Time of Fever, and Jazz for Two from 2024.

Side note: Junhee, who stars in Tinted with You, is a member of the group A.C.E. but also has several solo albums, which are excellent.

Love Method—Junhee

The First Day and Night—Junhee

I discovered A.C.E. because they sing the theme song for Light on Me (2021), another good early KBL. I have recommendations for A.C.E. Songs as well, if anyone’s interested. Both A.C.E. and Junhee are in my top five favorite K-pop artists, and I’ve listened to them repeatedly a lot.

thanks!

oh yeah definitely. it was edited because it was from a random BL page on IG.

thanks for confirming it's not real. besides, I'd always thought those two especially are very straight lol

When did the earthmix dating come out? Do you mean the sunset or the ring post or something other/official

Did you see Kengs post on Instagram? I think he spoke up about working times but he wrote in thai so my machine translation could be wrong:

Jeff Satur would have been performing at a Festival in Laos but that was canceled:

My updated opinion on "Ao to Midori" (starring Kusakawa Naoya, younger brother of Kusakawa Takuya of "Minato" fame): After two episodes, it's really good - but unfortunately not yet on an international platform, only fansubber. Hopefully Gaga will pick it up.

As with some other JBLs, the time jumps around quite a bit, but the story is straightforward enough that it's not difficult to follow.

i was waiting for your review =D

As with many JBLs, it's sensitively done, with a focus not only on the feelings but also the different personalities of the protagonists and on the gradual development of their relationship. It also uses the technique of going back to re-telling scenes to add more information and show a different point of view, which is something I like.

Almost sure to get ten stars from me (but I rate generously, so don't read too much into that).

image.pngthis is what goggle translate gave me. and this is a sad reality :( i wish productions would be considerate of the staff working as they are humans and need ample time to rest as well

jazme:

this is a sad reality

Yes, it's an eye-opener. This might have more to do with the East Asian work culture than anything specific to the Thai BL industry (?). The remarkable economic growth comes at a price.
