Why Did I Watch This...?

Where'd they even get that idea? Hahaha. And yeah their chemistry wasn't the best, the drama did not make me a Lee Min Ho fan in the least haha. Actually Jan Di had better chemistry with Ji Hoo.
And haha yeah I've picked the drama apart many times in my head :p


I haven't seen Meteor Garden. I'm not that big on Taiwanese dramas. I have tried to watch a few but I find the acting lacking. (I rhymed :) Anyways, I was thinking of picking up another manga seeing as I haven't read one for quite a while. I just might read Hana Yori Dango. I was going to read it way back but I was afraid it would be just like BOF.
I didn't become a fan of Lee Min Ho in BOF either. I first saw him in BOF and than I saw him in Personal Taste and I loved him in that. I also saw him in City Hunter and he was awesome in that. So, he is past the point where whenever I see him, all I can think of is his stupid poofy hair in BOF :P

I agree, the parents in Jdramas aren't nearly as wicked as those I've seen in Korean dramas especially. Leading into...

The mom in BOF was way too mean, the original mom was mean and controlling but not nearly as bad as they made her out in that version haha.

I've heard many mixed reviews about Playful Kiss but I don't plan on watching it because I loved It Started With A Kiss and I don't think I'd like PK that much

Ohh I see, I like some Taiwanese dramas but I do agree that sometimes they overact and it's not as well done as say Jdramas or Kdramas. And ohh you should! (: If you liked the Jdrama version for it then you'd definitely like the manga (: The art in the beginning isn't that good, but it's still a good story and gets better with the later volumes. I read the manga after watching the Jversion and I just loved it (: It definitely made watching the Korean version hard though haha, I just decided about halfway through BOF to stop comparing the two.

I still haven't seen Personal Taste but I saw him in City Hunter and it changed my opinion of him a lot haha. He's not my favorite actor but I like him a lot better after seeing him in City Hunter haha. And yeah it took me a while to see him without that overdone wig of his =___=

C i saw it started with a kiss and PK ... and i think ISWK has more chemistry and really cute romantic scenes in it .. esp the confession rainy scene was way better than PK :)

i dont hate PK .. i like it ..and watched it many times ... because of the guy main lead ;) but i dont hate or loathe Oh hani in it ... i guess i come from a culture where mostly women are like that so it didnt bother me her going all oohh laa laa on one particular guy ... and change her world to fit his >_<

I've heard that as well, about the chemistry. Joey Cheng and Ariel Lin had terrific chemistry and yeah that rainy scene was really cute, and the ending...I still need to watch the second season haha. But yeah it makes me not want to watch PK =___=

It must be really hard having a good appreciation for the manga, the Taiwanese and the Japanese drama and seeing an utter failure with the Korean version. I hate it when they either a book and make it into a movie/show and they butcher it or even worse when they make a remake and it's a total failure. I used to compare HYD with BOF but there's no point cause they are so different.
Lee Min Ho isn't favorite actor either but he can at least act, and he is pretty cute :P Personal Taste is one of my favorite dramas. It's romantic and very funny. My sister recommended it so my and I was hooked after he first episode. I am thinking of rewatching it (along with a bunch of other ones) :)

Playful Kiss.......................And God help me, the Youtube version is on my PTW list too........................I need some serious bashing of it to help me remove it. I haven't heard anybody really speak of the YouTube version. And you know how hard it it for me to drop dramas. LOL Someone who has seen the Youtube version, please tell me: Yea or Nay?

well i kinda liked pk. so i would say yea lol. its pretty much just about their married life.

So it continues the story? I was worried it would just basically be like a recap of the regular drama.

Ohh I see, haha you're a KHJ fan? And everyone has different tastes, if you liked it you liked it (: I'm still not going to watch it for the reasons I stated before, and my Plan to watch list is crazy D: haha

Yeah it was hard making it through BOF but I think I also did it because I hadn't seen that many dramas up at that point, too. I hate that, too! I understand that there are things that have to be changed so that the drama or movie version has it's own original points, but when they go so far off that the characters don't even act how they should it kinda ruins the point of it and you can't really call it the same story :/ I could only make it through BOF because I stopped comparing it haha. It's a separate story.

And that's true haha I heard Personal Taste was pretty funny, it's on my list but not sure yet when I'll get to it haha. I might add it to my next line up though (:

BOF was the same with me. It was only my second drama so I was new to all of it. I started it because Big Bang made a parody of it. Well, they made a parody of HYD but I had never watched a Japanese drama so I decided to stick with Korean cause I had seen Coffee Prince before that. (yet again, cause Big Bang made a parody of it) I am so glad that my taste's have changed. I am sick of the Korean high school dramas. Dream High is one I regret watching too. I kinda only watched it though as a joke with my sister. lol. :)

You should put Personal Taste at the top. You won't regret it. :)
