Guys, i completed a mdl watch challenge and while this isn't much of a milestone, it is my first completed mdl challenge in the 5 years that I've been here and resulted in a pretty collage of gls in colours of the rainbow (and my favourite colour, pink)!
Yo the feed challenge was awesome. I wanted to participate too, but I am too lazy to find screenshots as I don't take screenshots from dramas at all. Still, these are nice. Way to go!
Gosh I'm lazy too, hence this is my first completed challenge in years. But I sort of did this a bit out of spite? the homophobic management of mdl isn't enough, they have to go and do a rainbow themed challenge in pride month. The censorship wrt articles isn't enough, they have to be obtuse about it. So I made it a point to do it out of gls. I don't blame Yuanwei, but voluntary or not, they are the face of mdl too

Tumblr usually has the best collection of screenshots and gifs. It's where I often go when I don't have any saved already. Plus you can check if the MDL pages have any pictures already uploaded
Is anybody watching Stand bi me? I need more spaces to talk about the gl ships please
I plan to start either today or tomorrow. Mademoiselle Noir posted about it a little while back on feeds ^-^

Yeah, I know what you mean. The admin said they're going to add Gagaoolala when version 7 of the website rolls out. Meaning that they're going to add a feature that lets other users add streaming services. If this is what you're talking about... Although I guess the management does have their homophobic side regardless..

Thanks, I'm trying to stay out of Tumblr. That site never brought me anything good. But I do agree the fandom side of it is really good.

@Tina (I can't quote small parts and I can't quote you because the block is too long) it's not just about them adding gaga. They do not allow bl and gl articles, news etc. I was told that this is to prevent flooding the page with queer content but somehow it's okay that the page is dominated by Korean shows and koreaboo-esque articles 🤷♀️
Yeah idk. I forgot they don't add BL and GL articles either. Well, it's their loss. Unfortunately we can't do anything about that... The writing of articles is also limited to a few people. Only they can publish an article. I find that to be unfair. It's hard to publish anything unless you know someone.

Have they started restricting authors? I wouldn't know, my interest ended when I learnt about their issues with bl and gl

I think Chiha is mainly referencing the fact that BL/GL/LGBTQ+ articles dont get published (over on the home page) on MDL, despite some of the article writers being watchers of these series and saying they would write them. It has something to do with the marketability/SEO statistics of MDL and it being better with the same articles that all the other drama article sites write.
But yes, we've been trying to get gagaoolala added as a streaming service for several years, along with many other streaming services mind you, and it's not been a priority - especially when compared with other features and version of the sites that they're working on.
I'm excited to hear that they said somewhere a timeline of sorts for when gagaoolala will be able to be added. I'd love for more people to support officially whenever possible.
Yeah, they said so in either the support ticket or suggestion page for adding Gagaoolala.
I think eventually it's going to be added, but since it's not a priority, it's going to take years. When they reach version 7, it's going to be a happy day indeed.

Yes, and it's been YEARS. There are shows that aired only on gaga and not elsewhere but no, somehow Gaga is lower on the rung than other streaming platforms. I hope they do add them eventually
