Yeah idk. I forgot they don't add BL and GL articles either. Well, it's their loss. Unfortunately we can't do anything about that... The writing of articles is also limited to a few people. Only they can publish an article. I find that to be unfair. It's hard to publish anything unless you know someone.

All I know is it's difficult to publish articles on MDL right now. I think you need to be co-author with an already established article author to be able to publish anything. Not many people can publish either. So it's kind of closed. Partly closed to the general MDL public.

Guys, i completed a mdl watch challenge and while this isn't much of a milestone, it is my first completed mdl challenge in the 5 years that I've been here and resulted in a pretty collage of gls in colours of the rainbow (and my favourite colour, pink)!
Yo the feed challenge was awesome. I wanted to participate too, but I am too lazy to find screenshots as I don't take screenshots from dramas at all. Still, these are nice. Way to go!
Tumblr usually has the best collection of screenshots and gifs. It's where I often go when I don't have any saved already. Plus you can check if the MDL pages have any pictures already uploaded
Thanks, I'm trying to stay out of Tumblr. That site never brought me anything good. But I do agree the fandom side of it is really good.

Valid. I've pretty much stayed on the fandom and photography side all these years. A little dabble into fun facts and photography and memes here and there, but otherwise solid. Some of my other socials, I cant say the same for. Once they get too bad, I try doing resets - either erasing my history or deleting the acct and starting over. But I largely just go on to scroll, not engage.

Its always been restricted. You only become an article author really by writing an article with someone who already is one. I looked into it years ago.
@Tine you're not wrong, i co-authored an article with another user and I was surprised that despite not being staff she had access to the whole apparatus on their end, like generating the links and stuff. And we didn't even have to wait in the line of authors who'd pitched topics
It's an elite cliche sort of thing here where the older members kind of retained certain powers and are more trusted wrt hosting etc. i respect and understand that but it's annoying getting edits approved, articles written and changes done
Yeah it's definitely going by if you're older on the site then you have certain privileges. It's too bad because I feel like there would be a fair share of good articles from a lot of people... But they don't allow you to apply as an article author or something. So it's a moot point.
Ugh Athena, i didn't know it was like that. I did that one cw article long ago and didn't face this issue. Is this why you don't have any articles, because you'd write fantastic ones
Aw thank you. Yea, that was a big part of it. I had some articles I wanted to write and was told I needed to find an existing contributor to be a co-writer with me. I asked around with some of the writers who had similar types of articles and no one bit (not interested, no time, didn't receive an answer, or said they'd get back with me later to plan and then later didn't happen). Oh wells.
@Athena: Yeah well, I made the mistake of venturing into other parts of Tumblr so now I'm burned by it and won't ever interact with it. I have the app on my phone but rarely do get on it. And it's only for fandom content I reblog in 30 mins sessions and then I'm out again.
I also spend a lot of time on Insta and YouTube. Facebook too sometimes. It's annoying. I really need to use my time better. It's such a nuisance, social media. I wish it was better and yet, here we are.
Never going on TikTok ever again. That app is the worst of all of them combined. :(
Truth spoken. I only have insta and use it only for recipes and posting vacation pics. I don't friend anyone on there that isn't a real life friend I spend physical time with. Social Media is a time waster. I keep forgetting to turn off youtube shorts because that sometimes grabs me for a couple of hours. 😮💨

Which one was your favorite?
Ok so I gave three of these (Queendom, Clairebell, Reverse 4 you) a 10 and Love beyond dreams and VR a 9 but if I absolutely had to choose then it would be –this is so hard😭– Clairebell because she's a 10 but she's also insane 🤭(in the best way possible)

Tbh saying that Gagaoolala can be added in version seven sounds like an excuse to me. They know there's a homophobia problem and they're not planning on fixing that, so they tell us to wait until a day that might never even come. How long has version seven been 'being worked on'?
I wish there was a viable MDL alternative out there to switch to. Something that doesn't sell user data to advertisers also. Oh sorry, 'share' user data.
There are alternatives, like serializd, Pillow fort https://www.pillowfort.social/log_in ←i know about this through another user who kind of acts like it's ambassador on here xD. I believe trakt tv also has a bunch of this? Honestly i should just shift to these, i already have serializd. If it weren't for a handful of people in the feeds i would. I sort of fell into my niche here which is also bad because during my time in trakt I watched a lot more spanish gl. Really should shift and pop in occassionally, in fact I'll check out Pillowfort rtnw
