I'm watching this now and it's the most passionate Chinese drama I've seen. The ML can't keep his hands off the FL even for a minute. ☺️😍😚 It's also a bit of a thriller as there's family drama behind the scenes and we're not sure who will win in the end. The ML just needs to protect the FL so she doesn't suffer in the family struggle for supremacy.

I just watched this yesterday. I literally was crying or was near tears the whole time just from the angst. It was so clear that they loved each other and just had a huge misunderstanding. When we're hurt, we lash out. It was childish of the ML. In the end, when he realized how much he had hurt her, I could see how destroyed he felt. And when the truth of the Zhou's involvement about the cover-up came out, the ML really questioned whether he was even worthy to be her husband, it was the FL who approached him. I thought that was the best sign that she was willing to reconcile and not blame him for his family's misdeeds. And my heavy heart was light again.
@italophilia Yes I liked it too but I know many find the story depressing. I rewatched it after watching the elder brother's story and now I get his reference about the sun. After watching a second time, the ending wasn't open-ending like many were saying. She told ML she's going to head East to see where the Sun set and she asks the ML where he's heading. He said he didn't know and she told him to go towards the sun or something like that. It's clearly she meant to get back together with him.
I started to watch to brother's story. I heard they have a part in it, albeit much smaller. Yes, I agree, it was not open-ended at all. I was clear to me she meant to reconcile and have them walk the same path together. Even though the misunderstanding was gutting, the ending was hopeful to me.
