It's a funny thing, those shipping Trash think Chilbong is the hubby and those shipping Chilbong think Trash is the hubby. I think people are trying to hope for the best and expect the worst so they won't have to nurse a badly broken heart if their ship doesn't make it. As for me...I'll be stubborn and

haha Is that really what people are saying right now? I guess I'm no better. I'm team Trash but I'm convinced that she'll end up with Chilbong. I'm trying my hardest not become too heart broken about this. I really really really hope I'm wrong though. Team Trash!!!
Alright, I saw 10 episodes and I already stated that Reply 1994 is better than Reply 1997 and I stick with my decision. Although I am a bit bothered by the episodes' length, one hour and a half per episode is too much.
Now let's talk about the triangle, the writers are trying to insert Haitei as a third party to make things even more confusing but I don't think he even stands a chance in front of the big rivals Trash and Chil Bong. Let me first state that I managed to stop myself from shipping anyone so I am neither Team Trash nor Team Chil Bong and I think that gave me a clearer head to think about the hints and the possibilities. So, from what I saw until now I am almost 95% sure that she will end up with Trash because:
1. The strongest reason I would think of is that the writers are always trying to hint Chil Bong as the husband; whether when he went to the room, when he was talking with her about her bad language, when Na Jung's son's girlfriend asked him about his famous father (my thought that Trash could become a famous doctor in his field). And when the writers hint someone so badly then they will turn the wheel to the opposite side at the end.
2. Trash is her first love, childhood friend and lived with her for so many years plus he feels the same way about her so it's going to be hard for Chil Bong to snatch her away from someone she loves and he loves her back.
3. Chil Bong has all the characteristics of a second male lead. I feel like he's going to torture in his unrequited love and maybe get some intention from Na Jung but he will finally give up. For me, it will be a twist if she ends up with Chil Bong.
Those would be my reasons. The first reason is my strongest but I do watch a lot of mystery dramas so I could be overthinking this. However, I am pretty convinced with who she will end up with. One thing for sure, I will feel bad for the one who's going to lose because both Trash and Chil Bong are kind and sweet characters who deserve all the best.

They are. I've been tracking posts in soompi trying to find some precious spoilers that can give meaningful hints as to who the hubby is and all I could find is blue's blog which is more like fans going to the crew's filming sites and making speculations about what 's coming up on the next episodes. Also I found out that the peeps at soompi lean more towards Trash than Chilbongie--that might encourage you more. ;)

Sorry for cutting your post...Sweetie, have you watched episode 11 yet? It will scrap #1. And I can't say anything more about #2 and #3. I quite agree Chilbong's character is a recipe for heartbreak. He's so second male lead material you can never see him getting the girl. And Trash has the upper-hand because ultimately, *Na Jeong has feelings for him while Chilbong gets 0 love even after episode 11* (hint: we're halfway through the story). But what doesn't make me go on board with him is 1) skinship with Na Jeong for me is too much even for two people who consider themselves siblings in the beginning and much more so for chingudeul who are of the opposite sex and 2) he acts like a jerk and takes her for granted. His character is definitely male lead material, no?
* * *
Anyways, here's an interesting thing about the hubby's name and why Chilbong and Trash are such strong contenders.
We all know Na Jeong's hubby is named: Kim Jae Joon
Chilbong
1) We know that his first name includes Joon
2) We know his name is similar with Binggrae who is his maternal cousin. (I saw a comment say that they shared a 'dollimja'. I'll explain later.)
3) His surname is Kim.
Trash
1) His surname is Kim.
2) *His hyungdeul's names are: Jae Suk and Jae Young* (Ep 12)
3) *His name is also similar with Binggrae that the nurse mistook him as Trash's dongsaeng. * (Ep 12)
Binggrae:
1) His dongsaeng's name is Kim Dong Woo. :D
2) His mom and Chilbong's mom married different namjas who have the same surname (meaning they're both Kims)
So what's this dollimja? Apparently it's a traditional name given by parents to distinguish what generation level you are in a clan. A dollimja is one-syllable and is carried not only by your siblings but your cousins as well. Thus what distinguishes you from your generation level siblings and cousins is your true name. It can be added before or after your true name for example: Kim Jae Joon-Kim Jae Hyuk or Kim Hye Jung-Kim Na Jung. Traditionally, dollimjas are passed on to sons so it is more common for Korean men to have a dollimja even though the women have adapted this as well.
Ok, so here's the deal: in an earlier episode Binggrae called Chilbong 'Joon' meaning it's his true name or the name that distinguishes him from all his other cousins. In episode 12, Trash and his hyungdeul *also share the dollimja 'Jae' and the position is just before the true name. * Whatcha think? :D
Woah, am I the only one who's #Team Trash? I am on his team and I want her to end up with him so badly. Yes Chil Bong is sweet and all but he's a second male lead :p
On the other hand, the hints and the fact that Haitai is joining the triangle is driving me crazy! Answer my prayers writer-nim, let her end with Trash although I am quite sure she will :D

Yup, I agree with your reasons. Also, in episode 11 we got a significant hint about Trash. Na Jeung's brother said that his brother in law is the best looking one then his father said he's the ugliest one and since he always call Trash names then he's the one. I am Team Trash and I am pretty confident she's going to end up with him or else, I am going to be very heartbroken.

I am fellow Team Trash! I also hope the battle will only remain between Trash and Chil Bong, we already have a strong rival so why are we adding Haitei to the picture? It's already too hectic this way.

Nope actually, the majority of shippers are Team Trash. We Team Chilbongie are the minority. :P
I think the ending of Episode 13 confirms everything. If we get this consistency every episode pretty much like Reply 1997 where they end the episodes with the otp, then it's good as sealed. There are like 8 eps left (20 +1 extension?) and I'm not seeing my ship sail and the Ep 14 preview *Trash is introducing Na Jeong to his parents and Chilbong is 1) talking about giving up, 2) being aware that Na Jeong likes sunbaenim and 3) about waiting....* ~~sigh~~
I'd better go get some iodine and bandage for me bleedin' heart. :P Okay Chilbongie, come to noona~! XD

The kid is her brother, not son, but I agree with all the rest :D
I seriuously want Na Jung to end up wish Trash oppa!! I tried my best to don't biased toward one character but Trash oppa's is just fabulous! Na-Jung and him are making such a cute couple I don't want her to end with anyone else T_T But in the same time Chilbong is also soo cute and nice toward her that it seems that he actually deserves her sometimes more than oppa ...

It's great to admit defeat lol but on a serious note, I really had an intuition that they will do it like Reply 1997, they're just torturing us Team Trash with a strong rival. That's all.

Don't worry, she will end up with Trash :D
