T-ara may have up to 9 members after undergoing changes

Earlier it was reported that T-ara may undergo member changes. To follow up, Core Contents Media‘s CEO Kim Kwang Soo has revealed a bit more information to give us an insight into what changes we could expect to see from the group.

CEO Kim Kwang Soo has stated that there is a possibility of switching out members already in the group, as well as also adding more members to transform T-ara into an eight or even nine member group from the current seven member group, this coming April.

The purpose is not to just aimlessly take people out, and add others, but to implement a competitive strategy so that those who work hard and display their talents will be given more activities and opportunities, while those who sit back and “think highly of themselves” will not receive more opportunities.

Kim said, “When I look back on my 30 years of experience in discovering new talent, by their third year they become full of themselves, and lazy. If they are not always on the edge of their seat and working hard, and think that they can just get by with what they already have, they will not be able to beat the competition. I have seen many singers become complacent because of their pride. For the members who have no singing ability and do not work hard, I will not give them parts [in the songs].”

Kim stated that T-ara’s changes will be unveiled on April 7th, and has fans anticipating to see how the group will be reborn. The changes will include potential member additions/changes, as well as musical or group concept changes.

Currently, T-ara is planning on a large fan club inauguration in July.

What are your thoughts? Do you agree with CEO Kim or do you think differently?

Very interesting passage. If Mr Kim was just trying to get his ladies to pay more attention to keeping a professional attitude, he certainly would refrain from mentioning the possible farewell of a current member.
We also get to read rarely such a clear statement from a CEO written in a manner that lets T-ara appear like a bunch of misbehaved kindergarten kids.

Very interesting and also unnecessary, T-ara is one of the groups I would classify as a full-package group, along with Miss A and SNSD.
Let's see what April, 7 is going to bring to us.
T-ara Confirms Adding Two New Members

As reported last month, T-ara has been preparing for a major change by either adding or switching some of their members. On April 5, more information regarding this change has been revealed through local media, giving a hint at what to expect in the coming days.
According to Review Star, an official from Core Contents Media said, “It is true that T-ara will become a 9 member group. Two new members will be added and more details will be announced on April 6.”
Contrary to earlier reports, this means T-ara will not switch any of its current members. In fact, the Girls’ Generation is the only other nine-member group in K-Pop now, so fans are speculating if the move is made with the Girls’ Generation in mind.
Last month, Kim Kwang Soo, the head of Core Contents Media announced that T-ara would undergo major changes to their overall structure. At the time, he said the move is to prevent any of the members getting complacent and losing the competitive edge.

Geez
Why??????????????? Why?????

At least it seems we don't have to bid farewell to one of the current members.
I don't understand why they have to add two members.. 7 member t-ara is very fine already. Why do they need to change :O It's not like they're not popular and lacking.. right?
It's good that they aren't getting rid of any of their current members. Adding new members is okay, but it makes me think of the Super Junior interview I watched where they talked about their 4 seconds of fame. Super Junior has so many members that they only get about 4 seconds of solo time in a song. May be they are adding members so that the other girls have time for additional solo projects.
I'm just glad they didn't minus any members. But why add?

But to some it up: The CEO is making changes to the group because he doesn't want the girls to become complacent.

Grrrr sum it up even
OK this is an editorial article, but it makes complete sense to me and seems on the mark.

T-ara’s 9th Member Exposed

On May 23, local media Star News unveiled photos of T-ara’s newest member, Danee. The Los Angeles-born Danee is confirmed to join T-ara as the group’s ninth member in July. The group’s eighth member, however, will debut slightly earlier and promote with the group from early July.

According to the report, Danee is 14 years old and live in the U.S. since she was four years old. Although she lives in the Los Angeles now, she’s been spending a lot of her time in Korea lately due to her training.

Danee will make her debut through T-ara’s music video set for release in July.

Meanwhile, Core Contents Media revealed on May 23 that T-ara will first work as an eight member group until Danee joins them. The eighth member of the group (her name is still unrevealed) is reported to be 19 years old, and is skilled in both singing and dancing.

For several reasons I disagree with Danee being a member of T-ara: 1.) She's obviously too young to be smoothly integrated into the group and its image. Japanese girl groups frequently have members ranging from as early as 12 to senior members in their twenties but it's unusual for the Korean market. I see T-ara as a group which appeals to a different peer group and represents the first days of being independent/enjoying one's youth. 2.) It's too young for Danee as a human being - at her age she should be in school and worrying about her first big love. Plus she's only 14 and I am sceptical whether she will be capable of handling the pressure of an agency which openly punishes members of T-ara for slacking off a little. 3.) Let's face it: I dislike the fact that new members are being added to a well-functioning group. Good Luck Danee!

Me likes it - not as much as most of their previous songs, though. It's just so very T-ara-ish - the sound, general concept and dance of it.
And for some reason the song or rather its cinematography reminds me a little of Chocolat's debut single. :D
14 year old?! oh god! she's younger than my lil sis. but let's face it. idols are getting younger day by day. i mean look at janey from GP Basic. She's born in 1997 or 1998. And Zelo is 15 and all NU'EST members but Aron are younger than me T^T (I'm born in 1994 = 17 atm)
