Did you like the first season?
I managed to stay away from detailed spoilers, but did see about the final "villian". Can't say that it's a spoiler since it was rather obvious the moment that the character appeared.
I did enjoy the first season, although there were things about it that I hope they would improve on and a few things that I wanted to see/hope to not see in Season 2. I'm on episode 18 at the moment, unfortunately, there are more things that I feel "meh" about than see as improvements.
I don't remember Season 1 in detail, although I did watch the last case as a refresher. The fact that they left that thread from Season 1 hanging is ...um!

The turnover of Under The Skin 2 was so quick - all within 18 months. He focused on his concerts last year, but I'm guessing he will be returning to filming ASAP as besides Filter, he only has Love Has Fireworks left to be shown.
The movie is definitely getting made. And it seems to be an open secret that Tan Jian Ci will be the lead, but there's no official announcement of the cast, for some reason. Two month shooting schedule doesn't seem long ... but that would mean he could do another film or a drama this year! So we can continue to play the 'next project' game. :p
Yes, I was surprised we got Under the Skin 2 so quickly. I think we will get Filter in February or March. I was watching a gossip video on cancelled celebs, and it claimed they are actually editing out the scandal guy from Love Has Fireworks! I don't know how that is going to work, as he's supposed to be the FL's ex. I'm not getting a good feeling about this. =_=
I saw the news that a Japanese company bought the rights to Justice In the Dark. This was based on a BL novel and was shown and taken down after a few episodes a few years back. Dare I hope that something similar will happen with Winner is King?
I saw that news. I don't know what it means for Winner is King. Justice had a broadcast license and it actually aired 8 episodes in China -- neither of which Winner is King has now. I also assume it depends on how well Justice in the Dark does, though I imagine it will do great for WOW in Japan.

But I think he's going to use his voice to deal with the criminals and courts. And he probably will actually talk when he's communicating with the deaf characters, as isn't there an element for lip reading also?

I didn't read about the real person who inspired the story, so I don't know how he communicated. But I think may be they will stick to original story whatever that is , since it's sorta sound like bio.

Yes, it's based off a real person, a lawyer who took on cases for the deaf. I don't think he is deaf, but it was his parents who were deaf, that's how he learned sign.

Thank you for sharing. I did see that it's a 2 month shooting schedule so he will have time to film other projects this year.
This is a good career move for him. As much as I would like to see him in another costume drama, career development-wise, he should aim to do movie projects. Even if not the main lead, a supporting role in production with a good director, cast and crew would be smart.
Costume dramas tend to be idol-style romance focus. There are more mediocre scripts/productions than good ones so you'll need to be selective. I don't know how many options/opportunities with movies/dramas he has despite his recent successes. It's awfully crowded and competitive and idol-land is a young person game.
Judging by the ending of Season 2 of Under the Skin, Season 3 looks to be in development.
