How to read very old comments

To read very old comments on a page i can only load an infinite long page or open a new page with the link of the last comment every time? It will take a life to read the older ones.

Is there a way to start reading them, let's say from the first one?

Since each comment is numbered is there a way to use that by typing a certain number to reach older comments?
