I’d like to report an ongoing issue regarding a user who keeps mass upvoting all the negative reviews on Bon Appetit Kdrama page Just recently, this user pushed every low-rated or negative review to the top, burying balanced and positive ones that previously had higher visibility.
This constant manipulation is really affecting the fairness of the review system and discourages genuine reviewers from sharing their thoughts. It creates a misleading impression for new viewers and damages the credibility of the site’s rating and review structure.
It’s clear that these upvotes are not organic the pattern happens too quickly and targets only the bad reviews, regardless of when they were posted. Please look into this user’s activity and the accounts involved, as it’s possible they may be using multiple or fake accounts to influence the rankings.
I strongly believe that the integrity of MDL’s review section depends on addressing such behavior swiftly. Thank you for taking this matter seriously and helping maintain a fair and trustworthy community.

Mass upvoteing be it negative or positive reviews (since both happen, depending on the drama) is an ongoing issue. Some restrictions for new accounts would be useful. Allowing only accounts that have been active for a month (as an example) would for sure not completely remove the issue, but it would for sure make it smaller, since at least some of the people who create the alt accounts for upvotes/downvotes would not bother to actually come back in a month to do that.
And yes, I can see the random spike of upvotes under 7 and below reviews of Bon Appetit, Your Majesty. I was surprised with the random new upvotes I got in past 2 days. Been doing reviews for years and this is not a typical case.

Thank you for shedding more light on this ongoing issue. It’s hard to see what could be done to fix it for both positive and negative reviews, and it really affects the credibility of the entire platform. I genuinely appreciate reviews like yours because they come from a real account and offer thoughtful analysis. It’s unfortunate that whoever is behind these fake accounts would stoop so low and end up ruining other drama pages as well.
I acknowledge this is an issue but doesn't concern the 3 reviewers attacked. These reviews have been the most upvoted since the drama completed airing. I myself voted for these 3 because I agreed with them. At that point they were already the most upvoted.
Then there was a campaign to upvote positive reviews.
If someone is curious of what is actually happening here. There's a bunch of people who have decided to fight for this drama, like our precious Ella. They respond to all comments on the comment section. This campaign then riles up an inevitable backlash. Someone got irritated to the degree that they went to the trouble to put up tens of bot accounts. Maybe.
The users who wrote the negative reviews are not quilty of anything at all. It just so happens that many people think that BAYM is a very mediocre drama.
People are overly passionate about ratings and reviews. That's the real problem, since most of us would not like to see user warfare to the extent that we see it now.
Both upvoting and downvoting as campaigns happen. I repeat: the unfair blame to the writers of the reviews needs to be removed. They have nothing to do with this particular user war. Problematic users will always start campaigns (pro/against).
I scrolled down the comment section and saw that Ella makes claims about the writers of the reviews that are bordering on defamation. These people are now reporting the reviewers. Madness. I sincerely feel sorry for the admins of this site since there's can't be anything to solve the problem of overly passionate users.
You seem to be overlooking the main issue here. Many users not just me, have noticed the sudden and suspicious upvoting patterns the reviews were balanced only a few days ago. There was never any organized effort to boost positive reviews. What users genuinely want is fairness, not mass upvotes appearing which clearly suggests fake activity.
If some people think BAYM is a mediocre drama, that’s their opinion, but that doesn’t invalidate the concern about manipulation. You mentioned reading the reviews, yet most of the ones being discussed referenced MR Queen , which has no real connection to this drama’s plot. The reviews I reported were misleading and did not reflect what was actually shown.
MDL Support team should be allowed to investigate and take appropriate action. You don’t get to defend or justify suspicious accounts when so many users have voiced the same concerns. MDL is a discussion platform where users can express opinions and reply to one another that doesn’t warrant defamation or name-dropping. Being a VIP user doesn’t give anyone the right to discredit others who are simply speaking up about what’s happening.

Our precious Ella is accusing the writers of reviews. Many people agreed with the reviews and complimented them.
Claiming that these reviewers are using bots to upvote their own reviews is defamation, not discussion.
I’ve already blocked you, stop responding to this report. You’re coming across as desperate and aimless at this point, I’ll report your account if it continues.

What makes you think the reviews of any user review sites are fair? They are ALL subject to regular manipulation and scores aren't credible or taken seriously. Unless, of course, the score is favorable, than fans and production will trumpet it far and wide.
And no. None of that is true. Reviewers / fans will write and vote, regardless.

Some one starts a topic in support or suggestion about the upvoting or downvoting of reviews every month, it seems, if not more often. EVERY single drama I follow while airing has people complaining about the score ... along with detailed instructions on how to raise it. Mass up voting doesn't make reviews fair or trustworthy either. The 'integrity' of MDL review scores off site is that are higher than elsewhere, because they are mostly fan driven and most viewers don't want to be "mean." Or maybe they don't want to deal with fans attacking them. IDK.
The score doesn't really matter for anyone that is genuinely curious about a drama. It's the reviews and commentary themselves that are important to most viewers trying to decide whether or not to watch. At least the unbiased viewers. The fans will watch regardless.

I’ve already blocked you, stop responding to this report. You’re coming across as desperate and aimless at this point. And don’t call me by that name doing so could be considered harassment , and I’ll report your account if it continues.
LOL! That's a fake account so ironically, Mu Hyul can "report gross violations of community norms." And technically, that's barely a personal attack, not harassment. Good luck reporting that, as I couldn't get the staff to do anything about threats made against me.
Why do people think they get to dictate what other people get to write and respond to on PUBLIC comment boards???

Accusations of bots is not defamation, anymore than accusing someone of being a hater. It's just dismissive.
Appararently the admins catered to the demand to uplift positive reviews. Since they have today pinned upmost a positive review with 12 likes. When the most upvoted review (negative) has 265 likes. This sets a dangerous precedent.
Admins, pls explain your decision. Is there any point in rating and reviewing if you choose what gets the most views.
Kate:
Yeah they did not pin anything, if you think admins manually pin reviews you are mistaken, they don't have time, and they don't care enough for this issue to do that 😅 Also for me all the reviews on first page still have 100+ upvotes, no 12 likes thing.
I’m honestly perplexed by this user’s attitude. Had I known such MDL bugs existed, I wouldn’t have made this complaint. I’ve already blocked the user they keep commenting and accusing the admins, who are simply resolving issues rather than engaging in anything improper.
