You might want to check out the editorial Ode to Side Couples 2. I believe theres a few more like this? Luckily its not a strict No-No. I do remember it used to be excluded some years ago though in the formally official guidelines. 

Besides Gagaoolala has always been about providing queer content as their main focus and brand. I like the convenience of being here but i dont think we are worth rebranding a niche-market platform. We should accept the streaming service for what it is, like we try to do for each other. 

Looking forward to some clarity by the devs on the proper steps gaga needs to do for them to get listed.

I  believe Ode to Side Couples 2 was an article that included BL content and I dont believe its the only one? So i wouldnt say its strict anymore, though i do remember when the guidelines discouraged it some years ago. 

As you likely know, gaga is a niche-market streaming platform of lgbt content. I wouldnt want them to change for MDL. We should see them accepted for what they are, just as we try to accept each other for who we are. 

Please devs, it would make our lives so much easier if we could see gaga on the list of providers. Do they need to apply to a third-party program that sources the streaming list? Do they need to fill out a specific form to be included? Please help them by providing the steps so we can more easily enjoy their content 💜

LGBTQ and BL, in literature, movies and series is by definition a distinct "genre" - and has been recognized as such for decades.

GENRE: a category of artistic, musical, or literary composition characterized by a particular style, form, or content.

Further, it is used by all streaming services (Viki, iQiyi, etc,) as a genre to improve search.

Again, one must wonder if the exclusion of GagaOOlala is because it is a provider of LGBTQ/BL/GL content. Frankly, I just wish MDL would say why it hasn't been added - perhaps they have a very logical or contractual reason?

They have no reason other than being bigoted and homophobic. That does not mean all the admins here are that. But it's 2026 and I ask myself why this is still an issue...

Just to be clear: I was referring to pure BL articles! I am well aware of the articles you talk about; the BL couples/dramas are mentioned as a part of wider subject (Side Couples). There has never been or will ever be an article, for example, dealing with the history of BL dramas, or the impact of BL dramas, or favourite BL couples and so forth.

The admins are pretending the demands we have been making for years (include Gaga, write editorials etc.) do not exist: they never reply to any question about the BL presence on this site. I heard once that they had Chinese sponsors and we are all aware of Chinese official views on BLs....

I guess the guidelines you talk about are still very much followed.

Okay in that case I see what your saying. I also havent seen BL focus content :(

Do you really believe that petitions work? You are an optimist! Sorry, but knowing Admins' attitude towards BL content, you can have millions of signatures, MDL being a private company, is under no obligation to listen to this petition! 

On the other hand, if the traffic decreases on the site due to an organized boycott, I think they might reconsider! Business is business and the Americans (the owners) are first and foremost businessmen. So if their revenue decreases, they will wonder why. 

But, that will never happen.....

BTW, do you know if Gagaoolala is listed as a service provider on Letterboxd and Serialized?
