 Its me duh:
Hello, I have a very simple question for the thai watch challange 2026, can we use titles of series that started airing in 2025 but are still going in 2026? like Me and Thee?

We can use series with any airing dates as long as we watched all episodes in 2026. Meaning, you need to rewatch episodes you've already seen if you started watching it in 2025. If you haven't started watching it, you are free to use it.

Unless a year (or range of years) is very specifically mentioned, there are zero requirements regarding when a title was released.

Blocks which specify years are 1 C (Actors/Actresses) and 9A & B (Release Dates),

2026 in the title refers to the Challenge itself and when something is watched, not release dates.

If you're asking because you've already watched part of it, then either choose something else or rewatch the episodes you saw last year.

A request; If challengers, and or club members finish or start a drama, or if it's great.  Post it in public feed. There is a serious lack of good dramas being shared. Feeds went from lakorns, to no news, to BL. How long have we tried to post great series and bring to light stories, family tales, fantasy and martial arts, real life, history,, culture etc.

I stay in my  feed.  Not anymore. Let's break out lovelies.

Special needs;

"Drama for All: Journey of Memories" (2021).

"From the Heart" (2017). 8/10

"Sweet Sensory" (2023).

I watched Journey of Memories and Sweet Sensory, both are excellent :)

I think it's because it's a bit hard to find subtitles for Thai dramas. For Thai BLs, they  seem to always have proper subtitle.

No longer posting feed or checking on them.

From what I watched for 2025 Thai Watch Challenge, I'd like to recommend:

Eyes of Heaven (2025) - with villain main character who's hungry for love and recognition

Decalcomania (2025) - identical twins swap bodies (and adopted fathers who both need them for something)

One for the Road (2021) - a terminal patient's last road trip to make amends (with an estranged friend)

Other than them, there are a few great movies I'd like to recommend:

Homestay (2018) - second chance

How to Make Millions before Grandma Dies (2024) - familial love

The Paradise of Thorns (2024)  - inheritance dispute

Haven't watched many Thai dramas, but my favorite Thai drama is To the Moon and Back (2023) about trauma and self-acceptance, a must-watch.

The Believers (2024)

Mad Unicorn (2025)

Thicha (2024)

Last year, I wasn't active much; these are few good ones I watched.

I think that's cart before the horse. Subtitles for Thai BLs are more common because there's more international demand for them. It's frustrating to watch socmed contacts who'll happily put 40 hours into het C-drama treat Thailand solely as a source of cute boys snogging. Or they'll watch a Thai remake of a K-drama but not an original title. Unless it stars Win Metawin of course, because of the Boys Over Flowers remake.

But a good lakorn with interesting women characters played by fantastic Thai actresses? Forget it. Even het GMMTV that's just as easy to access is passed over.

Between the site's characteristic UI confusions & lack of information, and my own ineptitude with micro-blogging social media, I'm rubbish with the Feeds. On a good day my reach is two and most days it's just you. Thank you for that btw <3

I'd like to do more. At least reviews stick around long enough sometimes they're seen. Sorry for not using the Feeds more effectively. I'd love for more people to take interest in Thai titles and their ways of telling stories.

Oh, idiom, googling it. That's true that Thai BL is widely popular and on high demand, but 2 of my work colleagues watched Thai titles for its horror stories; like Girls from Nowhere, Meat Grinder, 404 Run Run (but yeah another 1 colleague only watched Thai for BLs and Nani Hirunkit's dramas). And my cousin recommended me to watch Thicha though she normally don't watch Thai titles but because it's on netflix so she randomly watched and recommended it to me. SKYLINE's recommendations also from netflix.

I'm checking most popular Thai dramas non-BL non-GL on mdl until 10 pages, they (though it's small in number) are available on gmmtv, netflix, or wetv. Viki also picks some Thai dramas like with The Successor (dropped that one). That's encouraging.

Win Metawin is really cute. Though he's trying to be cool, his nature can't. I'm sorry, I just can't... 😅

Subtitle availability, for me, is the most important thing. For example I got interested on Echoes of the Lost City since it's popular https://www.thaiupdate.info/most-searched-dramas-series-google-2025/ but there's only 2 episodes available, so for now I won't watch it. Also in the past I watched Interlocking Hearts on Chao Phraya but the subtitle was horrible, can't continue it. I also watched Marital Justice, halfway through my free vpn was unstable, I put it on-hold 'til now.

Anyone has suggestions for "Actor/Actress whose first leading role was in 2025"? I keep finding actors whose first leading role was in 2024 as the most recent.

The Death of Khun Phra - Jeff Yannakawi
The Summer We Met - Pimma Pimmada

Both are Thai PBS, which is still (mistakenly?) geo-restricted. Anusaya told me The Summer We Met is subbed on YT. I don't know about Khun Phra. If you have a VPN it's worth seeing if yours gets around the geo-lock. Some do.

I haven't seen it and there are complaints but Thongfah Alicha is in her first main role in a new GL Like a Palette.

Low budget short GL and BL are a searchable source of first roles, but not for likely up-and-coming actreses and actors, Those feel more like they'd be filling a prompt just to fill a prompt to me.

This question is frustrating. Three of mine last year were accidental and one I just gave up looking for.

I read it as the intention is for a leading role title but that's not actually specified and JulyMoon isn't around to ask what she meant so IDK. An earlier support role is still a title with an actor whose first main role was in 202- so it technically fits the stated criteria.
