The reviews may contain spoilers. Please read at your own risk. I don't explicitly mention anything, but yeah.
Please note: titles are sorted alphabetically by the English name, and this are only Mainland China dramas, not Hong Kong or Taiwan.
Ratings of 7.0 or higher means its a show you should definitely give a chance to.
*This list includes some shows that are BOY LOVE (BL) genre (or heavily interpreted as), so if that's not your thing...don't bother.

1. A Journey to Love
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
My Review: This drama was an emotional rollercoaster, and to be honest, you hate every single character at some point. I truly hated every character at some point, except for Yu Shisan. He is the MVP of the show and no other character compares (and no I'm not biased because I have a crush on Alen Fang, what are you saying...). Look, this show has something for everyone, but it really is an emotional rollercoaster. It is funny, but it is also sad, and serious, and devastating in ways you aren't ready for. The main leads...I won't say they have the best romantic chemistry, but they do have good chemistry. You're here for the found family feels, not really much else. The show did introduce me to Chang Hua Shen and Liu Yuning, which thank god, because they are amazing actors and I am obsessed with them.
Rewatch Worthy: Yes, when I'm emotionally ready again to face this...which I am still not ready yet.
-
2. A Love So Beautiful
Chinese Drama - 2017, 23 episodes
My Review: I understand why shows like this do well. However, this is not my kind of show. That being said, everyone was cute and played their characters well. You grow with the characters and that is always fun. To be honest, I watched it for Shen Yue, because lets be honest, she is perfect in these kind of roles.
Rewatch Worthy: I wouldn't, but I'm sure for others this is a great binge-watch.
-
3. ABO Desire
Chinese Drama - 2025, 16 episodes
My Review: The rating I have given is for two reasons: China actually acknowledging ABO and the actors. The story doesn't leave anything to be desired. I truly like that they tried to tackle this genre and tried to really explore interesting dynamics, however, it just needed a lot more depth to really succeed. Nonetheless, the chemistry and couples are really what you stay for. Unfortunately, this is a show where the side couple stands out more. I'd love a sequel or spin off for both couples. There was a lot of potential, but props to China for letting this be a thing.
Rewatch Worthy: Not for me, maybe some scenes, but I don't feel the need to rewatch it.
-
4. Almost Lover
Chinese Drama - 2022, 36 episodes
My Review: I solely watched this for Victoria, and I finished watching it for Victoria. However, the side characters were really good and it introduced me to Chen He Yi, which is what most of the rating is for. He's so good. The story isn't anything new, there is nothing that makes it special. Victoria is a great actress, and so is Timmy Xu, so the acting is good, but other than that...nothing else.
Rewatch Worthy: If I truly have nothing else to watch.
-
5. Are You the One
Chinese Drama - 2024, 40 episodes
My Review: I watched this for Wang Churan (and Chang Hua Shen) and it was worth it. I wasn't sure in the first few episodes, but I'm glad I continued watching, because, dang, was this a well done show. All the actors were so good, and the leads had good chemistry (not great). You do really root for them though, even if you're annoyed by them at the beginning. The story was actually really good, it just takes a while to get going. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this.
Rewatch Worthy: Yes, I recently did and enjoyed it again.
-
6. Blossom
Chinese Drama - 2024, 34 episodes
My Review: This is The Double if it was more about the romance and less about revenge. If I liked Li Yunrui before, I definitely like him now. He was so good, so attractive and meant to be in these kind of roles. I actually really like Meng Ziyi, but I find with every single one of her roles there are times where I just want to be like...will you shut up and get off your high horse. It's hard to like character that truly believes they're better and smarter than everyone, but either way she's badass. The chemistry though, truly one of the best I've seen in a long time. They could be in any show, and I believe they would slay their chemistry. They are a power couple. The story is also really good and has a lot of depth to it, so I think this is a really good show.
Rewatch Worthy: If enough time has passed, I would. It's a lot to watch in one go.
-
7. Bright Eyes in the Dark
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
My Review: I watched this for Zhang Jing Yi, but when I say this show was kind of life-changing for me. Not because it was amazingly unique or anything, but because it was such a solid show. It had this element of being real to it, that I really enjoyed. I think the chemistry between all the characters worked really well, and you do get invested in all the characters. Shout out to my fav, Wang Zi Qi, he was so good even as a side character. He and Johnny Huang have the best chemistry, frankly.
Rewatch Worthy: Definitely, I am considering rewatching it now.
-
8. Crush
Chinese Drama - 2024, 24 episodes
My Review: Why is this the name of this show? The 'forbidden crush' is like the least important part of this. I mean, the acting was good, but that's pretty much it. I do like the female lead actress, but still, not worth my time.
Rewatch Worthy: If I need something short to distract me.
-
9. Dance of the Phoenix
Chinese Drama - 2020, 30 episodes
My Review: I am genuinely a fan of Yang Chao Yue, and I do think she is a better actress than the roles she gets, but why does she end up doing all these silly shows. I mean, there isn't anything unique or special that allows this show to stand out among others. It's disappointing, because I lover her so much.
Rewatch Worthy: No, I can't even remember what this show is about.
-
10. Discovery of Romance
Chinese Drama - 2022, 26 episodes
My Review: I really like Janice Wu, I think she's actually a really good actress. All the actors were actually really good in this, but the story didn't live up to anything. I don't even remember why I watched it in the first place.
Rewatch Worthy: No, I don't remember anything from it.
-
11. Everyone Loves Me
Chinese Drama - 2024, 24 episodes
My Review: This is one of those 'everyone has watched it' kind of shows. I get why, the female lead is cute, and the male lead is cute, and the unrequited love story line is always enjoyable. I do like the video game aspect of this show, as it makes it more modern and fun. However, it's just another unrequited love story line, nothing unique.
Rewatch Worthy: Out of boredom.
-
12. Fall in Love
Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes
My Review: Started watching for Zhang Jing Yi, my girl, and stayed because the story and actors were pretty good. Not a life changing show, but a solid show that keeps it up throughout. The story, acting, characters are all solidly good throughout. It was enjoyable.
Rewatch Worthy: Yes, I will. I think I might rewatch it soon.
-
13. Fangs of Fortune
Chinese Drama - 2024, 34 episodes
My Review: Look, it lowkey lived up to the hype. Is it as amazing as everyone said it was? Not really, but it is a good show. The chemistry between all the cast members is what you're staying for. Truly, some of the best chemistry I have seen in a while. The chemistry between all the male leads...YO! it was so good. The bromance is what really sells the show. The story itself is...meh, and in some ways, quite predictable. However, I think it all fits in and wraps well together. Unfortunately, something that really ruined the show for me *SPOILER!?* was the forced 'romantic' love between the male and female lead. It was completely unnecessary and did not aid the story at all. Not all shows need a love story, and this one was definitely not needed. It made me feel kind of uncomfortable watching the 'romantic' scenes between the two, although, thankfully there weren't too many of them. I don't know if it was the characters or the actors, but whenever they were friendly and had their platonic scenes, those were way better and so much more fun. The female lead, in a lot of ways, was reduced to just love interest instead of being the badass she started off as in the beginning. *SPOILER* Overall, it was good and I would recommend it.
Rewatch Worthy: Definitely, one day.
-
14. Fight for Love
Chinese Drama - 2025, 40 episodes
My Review: Truly watched it just for Victoria, as I do, and because I have grown to like Ding Yuxi. Was it life changing? No. Was it new and unique? No. Did it have an interesting story line? Yeah it did. Did the side characters steal the show? Hell yeah. I started watching it for Victoria and Yuxi, and for the whole second half of the show I didn't care about their storyline at all, I just wanted to know what was happening with the Eldest Princess and Xue Hanmei. These two had wild chemistry and their storyline pushed the entire second half along. Watch it for them. *SPOILER* I also took away ratings for unnecessary death. There was literally no reason for all the excessive death, it did nothing to move the plot along or influence anything, and it was not needed. As someone who has watched a lot of dramas and tv shows in all languages, this is my biggest pet peeve and least favorite trope. There was no reason for most of the death in this show, and it made me enjoy the show much less because of it. *SPOILER*
Rewatch Worthy: I would just rewatch for Joe Chen and Lian Xue Feng scenes.
-
15. Flavour It's Yours
Chinese Drama - 2019, 25 episodes
My Review: What was the point of this show? The premise is insane, and so silly. I do like Gong Jun and Ireine Song, but they didn't have chemistry and this story was insane. The side couples were a little more interesting, but truly, what the heck did I watch? What was the point?
Rewatch Worthy: One day, if there are no other options.
-
16. Go Back Lover
Chinese Drama - 2024, 24 episodes
My Review: I usually don't like shows like this, but I saw clips and though Li Yunrui and Xu Huoran had good chemistry, so I decided to watch it. I don't regret it. I really enjoyed show the story and relationships progressed. I enjoyed the couple story lines a lot, but the dialogue wasn't amazing. Overall, I'm not mad I watched it, because I discovered Xu Huoran from it, and the side characters were also very interesting.
Rewatch Worthy: Maybe one day, not in a rush to.
-
17. Have a Crush on You
Chinese Drama - 2023, 36 episodes
My Review: Another show with a premise that I wasn't looking forward to, but they really came through with the character and relationship growth. This could have gone really badly, and been poorly developed, but they did justice. There was so much growth and development, I was surprised. I think all the actors did a good job, and the leads did great job. The ending however...I HAVE NO WORD. Messed up, honestly.
Rewatch Worthy: Maybe, one day.
-
18. Here We Meet Again
Chinese Drama - 2023, 32 episodes
My Review: All the points here are for the acting of the main leads. Honestly, Janice Wu is so good, and she was so cute without being cringey. The leads had great chemistry, and it wasn't forced. The story was boring, but overall, I was pleased with how this story went. A good comfort show.
Rewatch Worthy: Eventually, but I'm not in a rush.
-
19. Heroes
Chinese Drama - 2022, 38 episodes
My Review: There was just so much with his show. Too much, in fact. It was a lot to go through, and honestly, I have no clue why I dedicated my time to watching it. By the end, I was so uninterested and I felt like I wasted time. It wasn't a bad show, and the acting was actually really good. Liu Yuning, I love him, and he did a great job. But, it was just too much. So much was happening and I just felt overwhelmed.
Rewatch Worthy: I don't think so.
-
20. Hidden Love
Chinese Drama - 2023, 25 episodes
My Review: I am here to deliver my unpopular opnion and make it so everyone hates me. This is truly an overrated show. There was nothing new or unique about it. This story has been told a million times, and this was just another telling. I get that there was chemistry between Lusi and Zheyuan, but it didn't do anything to make this more ideal or special. For how hyped this show was, it didn't do anything for me.
Rewatch Worthy: Not really. Nothing to go back to.
-
21. Legend of the Female General
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
My Review: I was very excited for this because I do like Zhou Ye and Ryan Cheng a lot (I love Ryan Cheng). I think I ended up liking this more than I thought I would. I like how well written Zhou Ye's character was, and how determined she was to hold her own. She had a goal, and she didn't let the men or romance ruin in. I also appreciate that while the romance was a main factor, it didn't over shadow the main goal of the main characters. I was pleasantly surprised by how well written this story was and natural the progression of the story was.
Rewatch Worthy: After a while, I will.
-
22. Love Game in Eastern Fantasy
Chinese Drama - 2024, 32 episodes
My Review: This is random, but I mainly wanted to watch this because the aesthetic of the posters and outfits were really eye-catching. I'm really glad I did watch it because the cast was so good. Ding Yuxi and Esther Yu have really good chemistry and I believe they should make a lot of shows together, but additionally, they had great chemistry with the other characters too. The story was fun, the romance wasn't forced, and I really got invested. The ending wasn't amazing, but I'm not mad about it.
Rewatch Worthy: Definitely, one day.
-
23. Love in the Clouds
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
My Review: I definitely watched this because of Lu Yuxiao, but the plot twist was that her character was not my favorite. She was amazing, her character was annoying as hell and made man questionable decisions. The plot is actually quite good and well done. It keeps you invested throughout the show. The side characters were s good, especially the Princess and Yan Xiao. I was nervous I wasn't going to like it, but I'm glad I watched it in the end. Although, this does feel like a long show to watch. The first 22 episodes feel like Season 1 and then the rest is Season 2.
Rewatch Worthy: Yes, I will in the future.
-
24. Love of the Divine Tree
Chinese Drama - 2025, 40 episodes
My Review: In many ways, this is just like may other shows with similar concepts, but I really do like this show. I think Deng Wei and Julia Xiang were really good in playing their characters. Especially with their characters having many different personalities and versions, they did a good job of portraying each version authentically. Their chemistry was also good. All the side characters were really good too, and did a great job to add a lot to the story. Chen Xinhai is extremely underrated and needs to get more lead roles. Overall, one of my favorite shows to rewatch.
Rewatch Worthy: Definitely, just did and will again in the future.
-
25. Lover or Stranger
Chinese Drama - 2021, 29 episodes
My Review: As usual, I watched it for Victoria, but this was such a confusing show. I truly feel like I didn't understand what was happening the whole time. The acting was good, but with all the twists and mysteries, I was just confused the whole time.
Rewatch Worthy: No, I wouldn't.
-
26. Maid's Revenge
Chinese Drama - 2022, 30 episodes
My Review: Honestly, everything is predictable and cliche. There is no real reason to watch this, unless you are a fan of the main leads, which is fair because they do have great chemistry.
Rewatch Worthy: No.
-
27. Meet You at the Blossom
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
My Review: For a historical BL from China, I was surprised by how open it was. I mean, the chemistry is good and the acting is good. The premise held a lot of promise, but I was disappointed overall with the delivery. I think there was a lot of potential. It was a good try for an somewhat explicit BL from China.
Rewatch Worthy: Maybe, one day. If I feel the need.
-
28. Miss Truth
Chinese Drama - 2020, 36 episodes
My Review: It was very choppy. It had a good premise and it started off pretty good actually, but the second half was very rushed and it felt like the main couple went from hate to love overnight. The development of the story was rushed and not well done. The male leads' acting was good though.
Rewatch Worthy: No, thank you.
-
29. Mistaken Love
Chinese Drama - 2024, 24 episodes
My Review: The purpose of this is unclear. A cliched story line that could have had anyone acting and was rushed. Unnecessary, even though, I do like Li Dai Kun (he deserves better).
Rewatch Worthy: No, I don't ever think about it.
-
30. Mr. Bad
Chinese Drama - 2022, 24 episodes
My Review: A very cliched plot, but a very cute and fun execution. I think the characters were well written the story was coherent. Nothing super special, but I love Shen Yue and Zheyuan, so there isn't anything wrong with it. Could have been longer to make the story a little more interesting, but either way, it was enjoyable.
Rewatch Worthy: Maybe, one day. A comfort show really.
-
31. My Deepest Dream
Chinese Drama - 2022, 30 episodes
My Review: A good take on a romantic mystery thriller. The main mystery does keep you hooked, and pretty confused, and you are rooting for everyone to figure out what the heck is going on. I think this was better than I thought it was going to be.
Rewatch Worthy: Yeah, eventually I will.
-
32. My Girlfriend Is an Alien
Chinese Drama - 2019, 28 episodes
My Review: This is a very good and fun premise, and I think they chose good choices to portray the characters in this. This is a good strong romantic comedy, and I would recommend it for people who want something funny and cute.
Rewatch Worthy: I wouldn't, but I wouldn't tell others not to.
-
33. My Girlfriend Is an Alien Season 2
Chinese Drama - 2022, 30 episodes
My Review: There wasn't a need for this, but somehow, this story line felt more intense and emotional than the previous seasons. I will still say it was unnecessary, but still cute and funny. I liked the ending for this season, it was a good way to wrap up the series
Rewatch Worthy: Same as the previous, I wouldn't, but it could be a good binge watch.
-
34. My Journey to You
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
My Review: I had really high hopes for this show, especially seeing that the cast had a lot of actors I like. However, I am disappointed that this did not live up to my expectations. The whole story feels unfinished and as if there are a lot of gaps. I think this could have been better written, and, even written differently. The actors were all great and did a great job, but it just felt confusing, unfinished, and not well written.
Rewatch Worthy: No, I really would not.
-
35. My Lethal Man
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
My Review: Although, quite predictable, the chemistry and acting in this show makes it one of my go-to shows. Both leads do a really good job portraying their characters and showing real character growth throughout the series. All characters show good growth, and the story line does develop well. There are a few holes here and there for the plot, but overall, it was well developed. The chemistry is really what sells this show, and I'd love to see another show with the both of them together.
Rewatch Worthy: Definitely, I have already rewatched it twice.
-
36. New Life Begins
Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes
My Review: If you want a good slice of life, historical, family, romance show? This is it. One of my favorite shows, and the show that introduced me to Bai Jing Ting, who is, maybe, the love of my life. The acting in this show is so good, that despite having an ensemble cast everyone shines in their own way. Every couple that needs time gets it and the story all makes sense. It feels real for that time, it feels progressive without being unrealistic. It is so enjoyable to watch and does keep you hooked the whole time. The chemistry between all the couples and the cast in general is so good. Every characters has their place and character growth. There is very little room for plot holes, and it covers many genres. It is funny, romantic, has drama, family troubles, friendship, strong female leads, male leads that are actually tolerable.
Rewatch Worthy: Yes, all the time. I have already rewatched it at least once.
-
37. Our Days
Chinese Drama - 2024, 36 episodes
My Review: Maybe the most realistic drama I have ever watched. Almost every part of this felt like something that people would actually experience. The story was very real, but on to of that, the acting was very real. No one was too pretty, or too dramatic, or too perfect, it was all exactly what it needed to be. The trials and tribulations in the story felt real and like things regular people actually go through. It can be an emotional watch.
Rewatch Worthy: When it calls for a rewatch.
-
38. Perfect Match
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
My Review: I knew I was going to watch this show before it even released because the cast was so many actors I love, not just like, love. Wang Xingyue, Lu Yuxiao, Liu Xiening, Chen Heyi, Ke Ying, Liang Yongqi, and to make sure I don't just list the entire cast, last but the most important, Dong Sicheng, a.k.a WinWin, my ult bias. Just having him in the cast guaranteed me watching, but with the rest of them too, I mean, I had to watch it. I was nervous, because I usually don't love these kind of story lines. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy this show overall. I think the best storyline was Ke Ying & Liang Yongqi, and they ended up being my favorite couple too. I would watch a whole series dedicated to them. BUT, I would see series with all the pairs as leads in them. The chemistry was palpable. I loved seeing Huang Sheng Chi in a funny role, and WINWIN WAS A VILLAIN. He was so good. You guys, he's a good actor, but when they dub his voice, it makes me mad. He is a good actor (I'm only kind of biased.) The men though...look, the ladies are great, and I love them, but the GUYS BROUGHT IT. They were so good, had the best character growth and I was just obsessed. Watch it for the cast, not the story...although it does include badass women being successful.
Rewatch Worthy: Yeah, this cast is truly EVERYTHING to me, so screw the story line, I would just for them.
-
39. Professional Single
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
My Review: Not a necessary story that was needed. Cute and fun to watch, and the main couple did have chemistry (in a weird way, but its probably just the height difference). I enjoyed it as a mindless romcom that is enjoyable.
Rewatch Worthy: Maybe, but I'm not seeking it out.
-
40. Reblooming Blue
Chinese Drama - 2024, 36 episodes
My Review: Another Victoria watch, but much like a lot of her shows, I feel like there is nothing special about it. Unfortunately, none of these shows have really impactful stories or acting, despite Victoria being a good actress. I think the side stories were better in this than the main couple, and I liked the family dynamics.
Rewatch Worthy: Not needed.
-
41. Revenged Love
Chinese Drama - 2025, 24 episodes
My Review: China is really bringing it with BLs this year. I am pleased to say that this is truly maybe one of the best BLs I have ever watched, especially with it being heavily censored compared to the original webtoon/story. The acting was so good, and the characters all had development. The chemistry was amazing between all the couples, friends, and characters. The storyline, although having maybe one or two plot holes, was well developed and I truly would watch seasons and seasons of these characters. So well done and well portrayed, and didn't have any unnecessary plots that didn't actually make sense.
Rewatch Worthy: Yes, 100%, I will.
-
42. Stay with Me
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
My Review: An original China BL, that had no explicit romance, still to this day maybe one of the best original BLs. The tension between the characters and the actual character and relationship development was so well done. I would die for a second season or continuation. The chemistry was so well done in this show, I'm so sad it didn't continue.
Rewatch Worthy: If I was ready to emotionally handle not having a second season.
-
43. Sword and Beloved
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
My Review: Really well done, it fit into the 36 episodes perfectly. There was no dragging of any storylines, nothing felt unnecessary. I was extremely invested and devastated. I cannot tell you if this was really emotional, or if I was just emotional, but dang it got to me. Cheng Yi is so good at these kind of roles, and *SPOILER* I was really routing for the couple to actually be a couple and not just quiet chemistry, but alas *SPOILER*. Li Tongyi and all of the side characters were so very good. This cast was so good, I'd love to see them again. My Hua Changsen, my baby, in a cute and silly roll for once. That's insane, I'm so happy to see him in this kind of role.
Rewatch Worthy: Maybe, one day, when I'm not so emotional irl.
-
44. The Autumn Ballad
Chinese Drama - 2022, 34 episodes
My Review: I really don't remember what this show is about, which means it didn't leave a mark on me. I remember not liking the female character, but it did introduce me to Jeremy Tsui, who I am obsessed with and I love with all my heart. Maybe one of my favorite actors, I truly was so blessed to be introduced to him, so the entire rating is just for him.
Rewatch Worthy: Nah man, I don't need it.
-
45. The Blood of Youth
Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes
My Review: I feel like shows with stories like this one have higher expectations, and of all of the ones I have watched, this probably was one of the more enjoyable ones. I really liked all the characters and stories that were part of this. I think each character and story line had something to it and made an impact. I was very invested. I truly watched this solely for Ao Ruipeng, because I love him, and I stayed because the story was actually good and worth it.
Rewatch Worthy: When I am willing to give up a lot of my time for a show.
-
46. The Double
Chinese Drama - 2024, 40 episodes
My Review: THERE ARE SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW. I don't think you expected that you would ever get such a long review, but here you are. The way this became my favorite Chinese drama so quickly is unreal. It was one of the first ones I watched, and yet I have already watched it at least twice fully, and rewatched the final 10 episodes at least four times. Everything about this drama did it for me, despite me having very strong negative feelings about all of the characters at some point (except for Duke Su and Tong Er and the real Jiang Li, they were absolutely perfect and can do no wrong in my eyes). First of all, the story is amazing. Everything makes sense and fits perfectly, there are no random plot holes or side storylines that make no sense. Everything has a purpose, and that is usually impossible in a show like this. Especially at a full 40 episodes, nothing really felt like a filler (although some scenes were unnecessarily long, but I think that's just because I'm impatient.) Secondly, the ACTING. The actors really ACTED. The villains...omg, they did such a good job, I truly hated their guts. Princess Wanning! The way I hate that woman, like no other hatred for a character I've seen before. Even with her tragic backstory, it didn't bring any solace to me. This just told me that the actress was AMAZING. But, really, let us just bring it in for the love of my life, Wang Xingyue. My first drama of his and it immediately made him my favorite. Even the OST was beautiful. I couldn't love this drama more.
Rewatch Worthy: Yes, 1000%. My literal favorite Chinese drama. I rewatch the last 10 episodes on a regular basis. Obsessed.
-
47. The First Shot
Chinese Drama - 2024, 32 episodes
My Review: I could write a paragraph just about the chemistry between Wang Ziqi and Johhny Huang, and I will. The thing is, Johnny Huang has acted in a BL before, although it wasn't a full on BL. Johnny Huang just has amazing chemistry with anyone he acts with, and I mean, everyone he acts with. Wang Ziqi is a fantastic actor, I believe he could play any role and I would believe he was that character. This is the second Johnny Huang and Wang Ziqi show I am watching, and I already thought they had great chemistry in the last once, where they didn't even interact half as much as this show. If they decided to say that their characters were lovers, I wouldn't bat an eyelash. They work so well together, that I would watch any show that the two of them are in together. Now...onto the rest of the show. The storyline was so good, with very few question marks. The audience knows what's happening, yet they are so hooked, because the chemistry between the entire cast keeps you on edge. This entire cast was just so amazing, and I am so passionately obsessed with them. They are so good.
Rewatch Worthy: Yes, I will rewatch. Again and again.
-
48. The Forbidden Flower
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
My Review: I am so surprised by how much I actually enjoyed this show. I think Xu Ruohan is a really good actresses without being annoying and Jerry Yan is just amazing. The chemistry between these two is so good, and I need them to act together again. I was so surprised by how good their chemistry and acting was. The only thing that let me down was the ending, but I am still into this show.
Rewatch Worthy: I don't know, maybe one day.
-
49. The Journey of Chong Zi
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
My Review: For having two actors I really like as the leads, this was a crazy show to make. Jeremy Tsui is such a good actor, but I feel like he has chemistry with only certain types of female leads. Yang Chao Yue is not the type of female lead that has chemistry with Jeremy Tsui, no matter how hard I was routing for them. This whole story felt very forced and unnatural, and that makes me sad. However, there were a lot of side actors and characters I like, so I'll take that.
Rewatch Worthy: Probably not, ever.
-
50. The Longest Promise
Chinese Drama - 2023, 40 episodes
My Review: I thought I was going to really like this show...I didn't. Frankly, once we reached the halfway point and *SPOILER* a major character death happened, *SPOILER* I didn't know if the show could really come back from that...and it didn't. What I did get out of this show was my love for Wang Ziqi, Wang Churan, Lu Yuxiao and Alen Fang. Zhi Yuan (Alen Fang), literally the only reason I continued watching the show. The main lead, Zhu Yan, actually wasn't too bad, but there was no character development, and I didn't see ANY chemistry between the main two leads.
Rewatch Worthy: Only Alen Fang's scenes, and basically any scenes with my three other favs too.

51. The Love You Give Me
Chinese Drama - 2023, 28 episodes
My Review: I loved it. It was a solid romcom, with a little bit of drama and some tough topics, but overall, a solid show. I think Wang Ziqi and Wang Yuwen have that perfect romcom chemistry and the side characters were as good and cute. The child actor was so cute and did a great job (despite the fact that he looks nothing like his two supposed parents).
Rewatch Worthy: Yeah, a solid mindless romcom to watch.

52. The Story of Pearl Girl
Chinese Drama - 2024, 40 episodes
My Review: Despite my thoughts, I was pleasantly surprised by the story and characters in this. I think everyone did a good job. Although, of course, Liu Yuning stole my heart and was the best. But overall, everyone really pulled it together to make a great cohesive show. I think I was more into the side characters and their stories more than the main. I was not into the romance at all, not because they didn't have chemistry, but the side characters just were way more interesting.
Rewatch Worthy: Maybe, I could see rewatching it in the future.

53. The Tower of Whispers
Chinese Drama - 2025, 24 episodes
My Review: Okay, so I went in with low expectations, but actually, I was pleasantly surprised. I like He Landou, and I wish she got better shows with better marketing. The story wasn't anything new, but I think they did a good job of making it interesting and different. The acting wasn't life-changing, but I was impressed by how well everything worked. I think this is actually a story that could have been longer and better developed, but I think for what it was, it was donewell.
Rewatch Worthy: I don't know, we'll have to see.

54. The Untamed
Chinese Drama - 2019, 50 episodes
My Review: Okay, so, I went in with high expectations because the hype around this show is kind of insane. I have a lot of thoughts about this show, but for the fact that it is a lot of episodes, they do a good job of keeping you hooked throughout the entire show without getting boring. There is a lot to take in with this show, so you better be ready for an emotional roller coaster. I think, more than the story, it is the acting and the actors that get you invested into the show and the characters, so all the points go to them. The chemistry between Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo is palpable, especially for being a show that was supposed to be the non-BL version of canonically soulmate characters. The relationships and everything were so well developed and portrayed, you can tell that everyone was very passionate about the show. My favorite character was Meng Yao, who is single handedly the most complicated character in the entire show, but I mean, Zhu Zanjin was just so good.
Rewatch Worthy: I have not tried, because it is a lot. Maybe, one day.

55. The Wanted Detective
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
My Review: The only reason this is down a point is that it felt like forever. I felt like this took me ages to finish, even though it was a few days. It was definitely a show where every single moment matters, but it felt lie forever. I was even watching it at 1.5x speed, and it still felt like forever. However, it has everything going for it. It's a really period, crime, mystery. It has the romance, it has the comedy, it has the drama, but it really delivers as a crime period drama. The romance definitely took a back seat, but I think they handled it really well. ALSO, THE PLOT TWIST. Look, I'm just going to say I was right and wrong. Everything fits together in the end and makes sense, and it all just works. Every single character was so good. Y'all know I love Wang Xingyue, the love of my life, my favorite actor, and he was so good. But they all were, god everyone did such a good job.
Rewatch Worthy: Heck yeah, after a while, I definitely would.

56. The Yin Yang Master
Chinese Movie - 2021
My Review: This deserves very little rights because it takes the original story and totally destroys the characters. Qing Ming is made serious and heterosexual here, which is not how his character is supposed to be. Bo Ya is made to be a child (well, a younger man) here. Qing Ming and Bo Ya are supposed to be soulmates. They are not in this and it is just messed up. Also, there are talking animals, which is just weird.
Rewatch Worthy: No, this deserves no rights.

57. The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity
Chinese Movie - 2020
My Review: There are two versions, and I will start by saying, this is the better and superior version. No questions will be taken, this is better and way more true to the original story, according to the little bit of research I have done. The characters of Qing Ming and Bo Ya are supposed to be a less tense, less serious, less sexually frustrated version of Wei Ying and Lan Zhan from The Untamed, and honestly the actors do an okay job of them. The acting and story are all very mid, but it's not horrible.
Rewatch Worthy: Not needed.

58. Time and Him Are Just Right
Chinese Drama - 2022, 25 episodes
My Review: Watched it for my girl, Yuxiao, but it's just a show. Cute and fun, a warm hearted show. Nothing special that stood out. It's just a show.
Rewatch Worthy: I don't need to.

59. Upcoming Summer
Chinese Movie - 2021
My Review: Poor execution of what could have been a really good growing up film. Both the leads were really good in their roles and did have a fun and youthful chemistry to them. However, it really felt like the moral or lesson or message of the story got lost somewhere through this. The ending left something to be desired, but I am not mad at it. I just would have liked...more, from this.
Rewatch Worthy: No, thank you.

60. Wait, My Youth
Chinese Drama - 2019, 24 episodes
My Review: Very cute, and similar to A Love So Beautiful. It is everything you want from a comfort show, however *SPOILER* it takes them too long to get together and then they separate so soon after *SPOILER*. It felt unnecessary, and the story did not have to be as long as it is. The characters are all good and have good chemistry though, so I am happy with that.
Rewatch Worthy: Maybe, one day.

61. When I Fly Towards You
Chinese Drama - 2023, 24 episodes
My Review: Honestly, this is really cute and exactly what you expect it to be. Very cliche, but a comfort show through and through. The main couple is worth watching for, but its the friendship that you stay for. I really enjoyed it actually.
Rewatch Worthy: Definitely, one day.

62. Word of Honor
Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes
My Review: The Untamed if it had more obvious sexual tension. I mean, these two need to just get their act together. They literally are raising a kid in this. In all seriousness, this show has one of the most devastating episodes I've ever watched in my life that I will never forget and has torn my heart. It is for that, I lowkey believe everyone should watch this show. The acting is truly just so good. The story line is meh, and doesn't truly pull you in. You just fall in love with all the characters though.
Rewatch Worthy: Yes, when you can dedicate enough time and sanity.

63. Your Trap
Chinese Drama - 2024, 24 episodes
My Review: It is what it is. Very predictable, kind of annoying. You hate all the characters at some point. The chemistry is amazing between the leads, I will give them that. The male lead and the second female lead are the best actors in this. Otherwise, there is very little to be desired.
Rewatch Worthy: Not really.
-
64. Youth
Chinese Drama - 2018, 26 episodes
My Review: Pretty intense for a show about four girls becoming friends and living life. There are some dark parts, but in the end it is really about friendship, and I love that. I think they do a good job of handling what they need to. The story is a little messy and all over the place, but it kind of fits what they're going for. The acting is good and kind of silly, in a good way.
Rewatch Worthy: Yeah, maybe, when the time is right.
