Maya's Thai Dramas List (Rating/Reviews Included)

My Review: This...is...a...show. It is one of the 'earlier' BLs, so we have to give it some leeway for that. Honestly, it is kind of trash. It is predictable, the chemistry is questionable, and the common sense is missing. However, I do love Bas, so I'm giving it points just for him.

Rewatch Worthy: No. Not at all.

My Review: Not sure what the point of this remake was, especially since it ended on a cliff hanger? Once again, lacking chemistry, story and common sense. However, again, all my points are just for Pavel and Joong, because they are great.

Rewatch Worthy: Again, no, not at all.

My Review: I had to watch these a few times to understand the hype. I will give this show points for having a semblance of reality in their story. I do like how Sarawat and Tine do seem like a somewhat relatable relationship (fake dating aside). The show does really well at being a comedy, and I think that is where it shines.

Rewatch Worthy: Lowkey, sometimes I feel the need.

My Review: I mean...okay. It continues, and lowkey, I like it a bit better than part 1. However, again, it is just a show.

Rewatch Worthy: No.

My Review: This is actually not a BL. However, this is a really good show. I have so much respect for all the actors in this show, they did a great job. The older versions and the younger versions, all really captured their characters well. The stories were well written and thought out. I was really impressed by how invested I got into it. Special shout out to Khaotung and View, their stories really got me invested.

Rewatch Worthy: Yes, at least once a year I think.

My Review: EarthMix were really blessed to get this as their first show. I think it played a large role in making people love them. For me, I think there are many different couples that I think could have played the main roles, and I would have still loved this show. It was the story that stuck out to me, and I think they did a good job at making the romance part of the bigger storyline.

Rewatch Worthy: I have, and I would again.

My Review: As someone who enjoyed the original (Until We Meet Again), I was very excited for this. I am happy with the show, and I think they did a good job of explaining WinTeam's relationship. However, I felt like the other relationships were unnecessary, and I really wish they had just fully just focused on WinTeam and their characters.

Rewatch Worthy: Recently rewatched, and it was okay. Not sure if I would again.

My Review: I don't even remember what this story was. I truly have no clue what it was about, but MosBank have good chemistry, so they get points for that.

Rewatch Worthy: No, thank you.

My Review: The potential this show had, I can't even explain how much I wanted more from this show. It had such a good premise and the first half was really good. I was so looking forward to this, but the second half just did not live up to expectations. 

Rewatch Worthy: I think I may watch it again once, but I would love a remake of this, but better.

My Review: Honestly, I cannot even remember what this show is about. I do remember liking the acting and characters, but it did not leave an impression on me at all.

Rewatch Worthy: I think I have to rewatch just to remember what it is about.

My Review: JaFirst had great chemistry. I also think they are actually good actors. This show though...the storyline had so much potential, they just did not execute it right. The side characters were also really good, and I liked how they supported the leads, but overall, I would have liked something better.

Rewatch Worthy: Maybe...?

My Review: I had higher hopes. The premise was really promising, and honestly, I was excited. However, the actual show ended up a disappointing me. I think the characters and actors were good, but the story could have been better executed.

Rewatch Worthy: No, thank you.

My Review: I am pleasantly surprised to say I really liked this. Way more than I thought I would. I think Bas and Earth did a good job portraying their characters. I am impressed with how the storylines moved and how well they were portrayed. I would have liked both relationships to be developed a but more, but for what it was, I was really impressed.

Rewatch Worthy: Not yet, but in the future, yet.

My Review: I don't even know what the point of this show was. I was hoping for more ghost, less romance. They had good chemistry, but I think there was so much that could have been done with the storyline and the ghost aspect.

Rewatch Worthy: No.

My Review: This was actually a pretty good show. I was impressed with what we got in the end, as a whole. There were parts where everything was very questionable, but overall, I was more impressed than disappointed.

Rewatch Worthy: I think I will have to eventually.

My Review: I watched this was the side couples, if we're being honest. I do like JoongDunk, but this was just a boring and overused trope, nothing new. I live AouBoom though, so all the points are for them.

Rewatch Worthy: No, even though I have forgotten most of the story.

My Review: For being an older BL, this was extremely well done and worth the hype. BillkinPP have great chemistry and they did a fantastic job in these roles. All the characters did these roles justice and the story was very well developed. I was really impressed by what I watched and I think they did a great job.

Rewatch Worthy: Eventually, but not yet.

My Review: This is how you do a part 2. The thing about this show is that it is quite relatable and feels real, compared to other shows. The character growth and relationship changes feel real, and are well written and well done. 

Rewatch Worthy: Eventually.

My Review:  I will be the first one to say, I was surprised that I liked this as much as I did. I think the storyline was better than I thought it would be. I expected it to be under developed, but it was actually well thought out. The acting was good, though I actually liked the side couple a bit more than the main.

Rewatch Worthy: Eventually, but I need some time first.

My Review: I think this was the first BL where I was like, this is an amazing show. I was so impressed by the storyline, it felt like more than just a regular BL for Bl fans. It felt like a real show, where the romance was part of the story, not the reason the story existed. All the characters felt well thought out and well developed. There was a real story line of substance, not just something to propel the romance forward.

Rewatch Worthy: At least once a year.

My Review: I really like KP, but the more I think about it, the more problematic it kind of is. That aside, I just love this kind of story. Mafia, crime, violence, drama, this is everything I love. I liked that this was more than just the mafia boss x bodyguard trope. This is the kind of show that would make a great three season series. The chemistry was also really good between all the couples, actors and characters.

Rewatch Worthy: Yeah, all the time. I've rewatched it many times aready.

My Review: Another show that failed me at the final step. It was such a good premise, especially with how the romance took a back seat to the story. However, it got weird and then I was just disappointed. I physically felt my hopes die as the show moved forward.

Rewatch Worthy: I don't feel the need.

My Review: There is so much wrong with this show. It is honestly just so confusing as a show, and I don't truly understand it. It did nothing for me. 

Rewatch Worthy: Never.

My Review: I really only watched it for TinCan, and even that could have been better.

Rewatch Worthy: No.

My Review: I will not knock the chemistry between the couples and the acting. They actually did a great job, and I get why it works. However, the story line really could have been better developed. Especially, because it does cover sensitive topics and these aren't things to just gloss over.

Rewatch Worthy: Maybe some scenes, but eh...

My Review: This is truly better than En of Love, and I like that we got the whole story. Also, the side characters were better in this. However, not necessarily a story of substance. I solely watched this for YinWar.

Rewatch Worthy: Occasionally.

My Review: I need more of this. This was so good. They did a good job of balancing episodic and overarching, and the acting was good. Weird that they made Lee & Gun's characters brothers when there was so much ~tension~ between the two of them. Either way, a very enjoyable show.

Rewatch Worthy: Heck yeah.

My Review: What was the point of this? I don't even know what the point is. Everything was toxic and messed up.

Rewatch Worthy: No (but I have once...)

My Review: MORE THAN JUST A BL. That had to be written in capslock, because it truly is more than just the romance. This is an actual crime drama, and I am very into that. There was so much to this story, and it was so well done. 

Rewatch Worthy: Yes, but I haven't yet for some reason.

My Review: Not a BL, but I love the actors, so I watched it. Not too bad. Funny and dark at the same time. I think it is worth a watch, because they did a pretty good job with the story and characters. Mond was the standout in this.

Rewatch Worthy: Nope.

My Review: Predictable, nothing new, very cute, but that's it.

Rewatch Worthy: No.

My Review: Honestly, better than I thought it would be. I personally don't think PondPhuwin have great chemistry, but they did a great job in this show. The show had more substance and did a better job than I thought it would. Of course, Perth was the best because he is just the best actor.

Rewatch Worthy: I don't think so.

My Review: This show is worth all the hype it gets. Even if I was disappointed with the ending. It tackles real topics, shows real violence, and the OffGun chemistry is off the charts. Also, the SingGun chemistry was off the charts, and so was the MondGun chemistry. Gun was truly the best actor ever here, and I will die on that hill. Everyone did such a good job, every character was so good. Everyone needs to watch this show.

Rewatch Worthy: Eventually, I definitely, will.

My Review: Very cute. For what the storyline ended up being, I was pleasantly surprised and SeaKeen were very good. The music was so good for this show, and it was a very good 'young' audience show.

Rewatch Worthy: Maybe on day.

My Review: I get the hype. The chemistry is great, the relationships are great, the characters are good. The twist of bottom vs top is very modern. The story line could have been better. I'm not mad about it, but I don't love it.

Rewatch Worthy: Maybe some parts.

My Review: This was so good. The chemistry, the acting, and above it all, the storyline. The story follows a really serious and sensitive topic, but I think they did a good job of handling it. You get invested very quickly, and it really does keep you guessing as to who is doing what. I was very impressed with the story and acting.

Rewatch Worthy: Eventually, I will.

My Review: As JoongDunk's first show, I actually think they have better chemistry in this than their other shows. It was boring and predictable though. They did a good job, I'm not mad about it.

Rewatch Worthy: Yes, and I have.

My Review: I don't know how to explain that TharnType is such a questionable show, and I only watched this special because it is the least questionable of them all. It does talk about parents coming to term with their gay son, but it takes a weird turn.

Rewatch Worthy: Do I have to?

My Review: Once again, the romance takes a back seat to an intense and well thought out story. It is captivating and keeps you at the edge of your seat. The characters, adults and kids, all do a good job. I really enjoyed it.

Rewatch Worthy: I will, one day.

My Review: I don't really understand the point of this show...it is just there...?

Rewatch Worthy: No, there is nothing.

My Review: YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MAD THIS SHOW MAKES ME. It truly fell at the last hurdle and took away everything it had going for it. All the characters were showing growth and it had a great message, and then in the last two episodes everything went to shit. I will never be okay and over this. I have never been so angry.

Rewatch Worthy: I can't even look at it.

My Review: Can we remake this show? With the same cast? Or a new one? It is actually such a good show but just did not have the chance to be as good as it could have been. The ending was abrupt, and everything was just incomplete and honestly, the show and the cast deserve better. I had such high hopes.

Rewatch Worthy: I'm too sad to watch it again. Not because the show is sad, but because the show could have been so good.

My Review: Honestly, the flashback story was so much more moving and I really wish we got a full version of that without the modern story. I cared a lot more about that than DeanPharm. No hate to DeanPharm, but it felt like all the other story lines were just so many better.

Rewatch Worthy: Maybe, some scenes, I don't know.

My Review: Very boring storyline, nothing new or original. Another story for the sake of a new couple.

Rewatch Worthy: No.

My Review: I am totally biased, because love Sea. He is just so good, and I am obsessed with him. This was a good story, nothin jaw dropping, but well executed, and I enjoyed it JimmySea have great chemistry, and they did a good job.

Rewatch Worthy: Yes, always.

My Review: I truly only watched it for the side couple, I couldn't care less about this main couple, sorry. I do love Great though, and I think he is a good actor.

Rewatch Worthy: Nope.

My Review: The first show where I really felt PondPhuwin's chemistry. All four couples had their share of screen time. The story lines were good and well thought out. They all did a great job, and I was very happy. Definitely worth the hype. A feel good show with substance.

Rewatch Worthy: Definitely would, just need enough time to pass.

My Review: This was pretty messed up, but I did enjoy how pretty all the actors were. The main couple had good chemistry, but the story was just messy.

Rewatch Worthy: Eh...no need.

My Review: This is not an amazing show, but it is a good show. It has a solid storyline, but some of the stories could be better developed. All the couples had good chemistry, but I would have loved to just get more out of this show in general. There was so much potential.

Rewatch Worthy: Maybe...once.

My Review: The most basic story line, but you're not watching it for the story line. You're watching it for the characters and couples. ThomasKong are so cute, and their chemistry develops through the story. The side characters, however, are the reason I kept going. They were so good and I was so invested. There are moments of seriousness that I think are well conveyed.

Rewatch Worthy: One day, maybe.
