Go Eun-chan played by Yoon Eun-hye

One of my favorite performances of any character I've ever watched. I love how unapologetically Go Eun-chan lives her life, how loyal and kind she is. She's confident but also struggles with her own insecurities.

My headcanon is that Go Eun-chan is nonbinary.

Xiao Yao/Wen Xiaoliu played by Yang Zi 

He Simu played by Dilraba Dilmurat

A lonely Ghost King who learns what it feels like to be human.

I could write 300 essays about why this character means so much to me. I love that she got to be angry, dominant, powerful, and smart but also vulnerable, lonely, afraid, and in love. Such a complex and (mostly) well-written character. (There were a few episodes later on where I was like ??? but not annoying enough to ruin the character for me).

Zhuang Hanyan played by Chen Duling

Written to be just as messy and villainous (at times) as a lot of beloved MLs usually are. Her character gives me hope that maybe more imperfect morally grey FLs will make their way into newer cdramas. 

Lin Qile (Yingtao) played by Zhao Jinmai

A FL who loves deeply and fights for those she cares about while also learning to value herself. She's the leader of her friend group, the knight and the heroine of her story.

Zhu Yun played by Zhang Jingyi

The knight to Li Xun's prince.

Li Susu played by Bai Lu

Ok so, her character could've been written better but I love her regardless.

And of course, Bai Lu does an amazing job giving depth to Li Susu when sometimes the writing fails.

Edit: I did a rewatch and omg! what a missed opportunity. I think half of what I love about her character is just me filling in the blanks for what could've been. She's still a favorite though and I'll still defend her distrust of Tantai Jin, but she deserved way better writing, especially in the second half.

Cha Ji-won played by Moon Chae-won

It's been so long since I watched this that I don't remember much. I just remember loving how devoted she was to Do Hyun-soo. She was the one to protect him and fight for him and save him and not in a way that erased any other parts of her personality.

Oh Hae-young played by Seo Hyun-jin

One of the most relatable FLs I've watched.
