Favorite Secondary Relationships

All of them! No seriously though, all the relationships both within the main found family as well as the guest appearances are so good. 

All the relationships between the women in this drama were complex, thoughtful, well-acted. 

The two that standout the most:

• Chai Jing & Hanyan. I shipped them even more than the main couple (who I still enjoyed). Not a canon romance though.
• Hanyan & her mother, Ruan Xiwen.

• Nan Xuyue & Mu Xuanling. They were just as interesting to me as the main couple.
• Gao Qiumin & Fu Lansheng. The secondary romance.

Too many to list. 

All the supporting cast and relationships are really interesting. They help make what is already a masterpiece of a drama even better. 

The friend group was really fun in this drama. I wish they'd gotten more scenes in the second half but I still enjoyed what we got of them. 

Yingtao's family and the relationships that her friend group's parents all had with each other were heartwarming as well. (not Jiang Qiaoxi's parents)

This one will depend on how annoying you find Park Dong-hoon's brothers. Which I admit at first, I was not a fan of them but as the drama went on, they grew on me.

 Also, the same with Choi Yu-ra. I did eventually enjoy her and Park Ki-hoon's odd romance and how they inspired each other. 

 Lee Ji-an's relationship with her grandma was beautiful as well ❤️.

To be honest, all the relationships in this drama are interesting.

All of them once again lol!

Especially the relationship that both leads had with their daughter, Baek Eun-ha.

And Do Hae-su's relationships with various characters. 

They were all a bit weird lol, but very entertaining, if over the top comedy is your thing (which typically isn't mine, but I enjoyed these relationships anyways). 

• Mingyi & her cat companion, Er Shiqi.
• All the secondary/guest romances were interesting as well.

The friend groups were all very fun. You could really feel how much the F4 group cared about each other.

I loved Gorya's relationship with her family.

And I admit, I enjoyed Gorya's relationship with Ren just as much if not a tiny bit more than her relationship with Thyme. 

The family relationships in this drama were very challenging to watch but ultimately very rewarding and healing as well (despite having a few small complaints about how some things were resolved). 

I also loved how Qiao Qingyu's  & Wang Mumu's friendship developed. 

Wen Kexing & Gu Xiang

The platonic bond they had was beautiful :'). I also really enjoyed watching Gu Xiang begrudgingly accept Zhou Zishu as a friend. 

The main family relationships were so heartwarming. Li Haichao might be the best dad in cdramaland. 

Han Yu-ju & Choi Han-seong.

Some of the secondary relationships feel a bit dated, even for me who enjoys problematic relationships. But I did enjoy HYJ's and CHS's very flawed on/off romance. 

The coffee prince group had it's good and bad moments.

The relationships between the sisters and the other women in this drama were really enjoyable. 

The drama overall was just ok to me but the relationships between the women, especially in the first half, are what make this drama worth watching. 

This one had so much potential. Despite them feeling a little underdeveloped, I still enjoyed the relationships between the women in this drama. I wish we'd gotten more episodes where we could've seen more of their backstory, it would've made the events later on even more impactful.  

Shen Li & Mo Fang

The unrequited love, devoted, yearning vibes were so good! I kind of shipped them just as much as the main couple. 

Woo Jeong-hun & Jung Su-hyeon

Two people suffering from unrequited love instead find romance with each other. They were very cute.  

Su Yunqi & Su Luoluo

I loved their antagonistic sister relationship. This was my first time watching Zhao Muyan and she really impressed me.

Yan Shuang & Hong Yi

I watched this back in 2023, the year I first started watching dramas, so I don't remember much about them other than them being the first cdrama secondary romance that I actually liked. 

Bing Zhu & Pian Pian

The pairing that inspired this list. One of the most interesting relationships of recent years. Unfortunately, there was something that happened in their story that dropped them from second on this list to last. But I loved everything up to that point, so I had to at least mention them. 

I actually dropped this drama early on because the writing for the main storyline wasn't very good, in my opinion. I kept watching their scenes though.
