A sad but also sweet start!

As expected, even with as silly a premise as this, First and Khao brought their A-game! I smiled, but also got close to tears multiple times in just this first episode.

Also, I love how warm the color palette is for this drama! Lots of oranges, yellows, and greens.

I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress more than I thought I would be!

We could have seen more of the actual initial scamming! I wanted to actually SEE that!!! I guess this drama is focusing more on the after. Maybe I should have realized that from the description, but still, I'm rather disappointed that we're just skipping over it. I would have loved to have seen more of the gradual build to Tim and Pai's relationship in particular. What we got in brief snippets just wasn't enough for me.

We waited and waited . . . And the wait was worth it (so far)!

I sense a theme of "wanting someone you shouldn't."

I think they did a great job setting up all the pairs with their red flags and insecurities.

And this "passing of the baton" moment from a pair from the OG cast?

Tell you what, though. I already feel bad for Tua and see the writing on the wall for him and his poor, unspoken feelings for Arnold. Convincing him to join in the play so he can get closer to him . . . Is surely going to come back to bite him.

Because if there's anything we know about Only Friends based on S1 and this season's trailer, it's that no romance is simple, no man is a pure, green flag, and SOMEONE ELSE is bound to want someone else's man or want the man someone else wants. IT'S THE LAW!

But, hey, that's why we're all here! For the mess! And, hopefully, meaning!

Good start for a time travel concept! We seemingly know the basics of Hye Seong and U Jin's relationship in the original timeline. They were close, but then something tragic happened, and U Jin is no longer in Hye Seong's present. It's difficult for him, and he wanted to and largely succeeded in forgetting about him.

But through small hints/lines now back in the past, we're aware there's more to their story.

It's reminding me not only of A Breeze of Love, with its bright, nostalgic school-scrapbook vibe, but also of Love for Love's Sake, with its eerie flashes and stressful moments of confusion/lost time. And if you ask me, I think any resemblance to either one of those great K-BLs spells good things!

At long last . . .

My girls are here!!!

And, girl, does it promise to be messy!

We already got a love triangle/square in the works, one girl on the path to discovering her sexuality, one girl in it for the challenge (You Maniac vibes), and old and new flames all in the mix!

My predictions:

Bambi is for sure the shit-stirrer. I already see the gears working in her head on how she can manipulate others' feelings in her favor to get what she wants. I wonder if there's more to her than that, though . . .?

Min and Praew are going to be the sweetest couple. I see conflict but also tenderness in their future.

As for the rest, I can only imagine the rollercoaster they're going to take us on! I'm eagerly strapped in for it, though!
