Thai Traditional & Classical Arts

This list helps you with Challenge 14 in the Thai Watch Challenge, it includes dramas/movies with Traditional Thai things such as martial arts, instruments, food or costumes.

Note: The western use of "traditional" to refer to anything old from another culture has been bothering me for a while. Since I've apparently been left in charge, I'll be expanding the language of this prompt to be more accurate and give recognition to Thailand's rich formal artistic culture and history. -Elisheva

Everything in this list remains appropriate for Challenge 14. The distinctions I'm making include the following:

Historic clothing when it is worn in a historic setting. Traditional clothing when it is worn in a modern setting.
Similarly with food.
Classical/art/court music - ie a piphat ensemble or accompanying classical/art poetry and theatre
Traditional/folk music - ie mor lam
Traditional/folk arts - common in Thai PBS regional minis like the Thun Thai series

I am far from an expert in this and will probably make some mistakes along the way. I am also probably the only one who will care enough to worry about this =D

Thai Movie - 2004

Thai classical music and instruments - ranad ek (Thai xylophone), khong wong (gong circle), ching (small cymbals), sam sai fiddle are named. The rest of the ensemble matches the instrumentation of a piphat.
"Thai musical instruments are simplicity themselves. Yet the more simple the instrument appears, the more subtle our techniques must be."
2. Bussaba Lui Fai

Classical poetry, dance, theatre, instruments, music. Temple mural painting. Historic clothing. Arts aren't incidental to this or a bit of colour - they are intrinsic to the characters' lives. It is a fantastic gentle lakorn to hear, see and learn more about all of these.
There is also Laotian traditional/folk music.
