For me, nothing can compare to this masterpiece. What i liked the most about this drama is the screenwriting. Watching the drama feels like reading poetry.

How to watch this: give all your attention to the screen, don't fast forward, don't watch this while doing something else, and don't judge the characters based on your own conviction, rather see them like they are real people who has their own story, belief, and personality

What makes this drama stands out and goes beyond the classic mystery criminal drama trope (even among the good ones like Signal) is the fact that every character here is smart and has their own strategy to achieve their interest. Everyone has their own strength, obsession/greed, compassion, fear, etc. No one there exists as a comedic relief or a sidekick to highlight the greatness of the main leads. Also, The main character (Hwang Si-Mok) was not portrayed as a messiah like figures: his judgement was not flawless and he also, just like the audience, had to 

Slice of life drama that exudes warmth and love. 

Many people say that this drama and the characters are depressing. You might think so if you expect silly romantic comedy drama (I don't say that they are bad, there are good ones like Love to Hate You). This drama offers the best slow-burn romance out there (second only to MLN). Even without them spelling out, we can see how and why both main lead fall with each other, and how they struggle to protect each other and their love given the agonizing circumstances. 

Good premise, starting out okay, then spiralling into a chaos! I watched the first half of the show thanks to the personality of Cha Min Hoo and Hong Yeseul, but then all of the characters turn dumb after the leads got into the relationship. The plot's messy too.

There are several good scenes. But, don't expect too much. After all, this is a Makjang drama.
