2024 Movies

It was so and so. Some scenes were dragging a bit and others were a tad bit too fast-paced. Nonetheless, this film was as chaotic as ever and quite comedic. And the film succeeded in bringing everything together in the end. Though, it deffo leaves room for a third film in the series. I deffo recommend watching this if you have watched the first film. I saw some comments on the film's page stating that this should have been a 3-hour film (combined with the first one), so all the scenes showing what had happened in the first one, could have been left out. I kind of agree with that. Anyhow, again, it was a nice wrapping up. I rate this a 7.5/10.

I thought that I had to watch Concrete Utopia before watching Badland Hunters. Well, I forced myself through the prequel but I really enjoyed the sequel. It wasn't a masterpiece or even something special but it is a fun watch. It includes human experiments and dystopian societies. Ma Dong Seok is always good for some action and I quite liked Lee Jun Young and Roh Jeong Eui. Therefore, I can recommend this film to people who are looking for a quick action film and to Ma Dong Seok fans.

Wow! This is such a powerful film!! "Exhuma" might actually be on e of my favourite films! The acting was amazing, the story was brilliant and the quality was generally very good! The story flow was really great as it guided you through the story of the Park family's secret. Often, films about ghosts and/or spirits and shamanism can get a bit chaotic or confusing but "Exhuma" managed to brilliantly (and successfully) tell its story while the actors wonderfully managed to incorporate their characters' emotions and actions. I am a fan of "Revenant" and "The Guest" and I believe this film would perfectly match in their category, just that this one is even better. I believe if they would have decided to make "Exhuma" a drama (maybe 6 eps or so), it could have been really successful as well. I was saying to a friend that "Mr. Sunshine" is the cinematography perfection and this one comes really close to it as well. I really love when dramas relate to a country's history and the Japanese invasion was a period deeply impacting most of Asia. Relating it back to shamanism was a brilliant idea. I can 100% recommend this film. Also to those who usually do not watch horror as it was quite harmless. I wouldn't categorise "Exhuma" as a horror film per se but rather as a supernatural thriller. It is a cinematography masterpiece and deserves the title as one of the best Korean films, in my opinion. A very well-deserved 10/10. A rating, I rarely give. And considering that this was "only" a film, "Exhuma" highly deserves the rating.

I am absolutely obsessed with Kim Mu Yeol! Very hot villain, ngl. The plot was meh, same old same old; however, I liked the action and the fight scenes. But tbh, I mainly watched the film for the actors. You don't really have to use your brain so it is great for a casual watch but it's still fun enough. If you have watched the prequels, I recommend watching this one as well, though, this is not quite as good as the others. If you like eye candy and some good fight scenes, this will also be one for you. I rate this a 7/10.

The film was alright. The first few minutes scared me a bit because I thought that the film would be a flop. While the film is not a masterpiece, it is still enjoyable and got better. There were a few inconsistencies, such as a former soldier from the special forces is suddenly panicking despite supposedly trained to be an elite soldier. Furthermore, some who were able to fight well before, suddenly lost their ability to do so. Nonetheless, if you want a fun action flick, this is one for you. Not the best on the market, not even the second-best, but it provides an enjoyable time. 6.5/10.

I guess it is alright for brainless entertainment only. kisskh didn't categorise the film as Comedy, though I found it quite comedic at times. Nonetheless, I am generally disappointed in the film. There is so much that is impossible and improbable. I also found the film quite boring. While the first 30 minutes were alright, the last hour was a let-down. A fast pace can be beneficial for a film but in this case it was not as it removed the depth of the story. I will rate this 5.5/10 as the film could work as a brainless entertainer but the premise of the film promised something slightly different. I was happy when the fil. was over, I did not care for any character.
