1. Our Youth
Japanese Drama - 2024, 10 episodes

2. Qingchuan's Veil of Vengeance
Chinese Drama - 2025, 18 episodes
This series had me hook line and sinker from beginning to the end. I didn’t skip a scene, which is impressive! Surprisingly, I liked all the villains; usually, there’s one that frustrates me. Often, it’s due to over-the-top acting or dull motivations that don’t justify their actions.
In this series, the villains were well-portrayed, and I appreciated their character development. I liked their arcs, except for Feng Shiye—he deserved much worse, like torture or being defeated in a more dramatic way. But just one sword slice? No way. The twist with Mo Qing Chuan's fourth sword technique was intriguing, but it didn’t give the closure I wanted. His exit felt too sudden. I was left thinking, 'Is that it? What happened to the revenge promised? He only got one cut? Seriously?
Did Daxia completely take over Chu? I can’t remember—was there another prince of Chu who talked about peace with Emperor Xia Qiye? Or did Mo Qing Chuan just take the throne and unify the nations? I’m confused, but it doesn’t bother me because of how our golden retriever welcomed his master home. A girl got goosebumps from excitement! They got their happy ending! Now, I just need a final scene with Jiang Kui sharing more treats with the girl in white. I’m all for that bond! Haha!

4. Gokusen
Japanese Drama - 2002, 12 episodes
This delightful ensemble of quirky characters has completely captured my heart. They have a unique charm that pulls at my emotions in the most delightful way. Just when I’m hit with a wave of melancholy, something utterly side-splitting occurs, causing me to burst into laughter! This drama can be wonderfully unpredictable at times! These little snippets are what truly help me connect with each character. While they might seem like a group of hopeless misfits, their genuine selves gradually come to light, revealing their unique personalities. Each character is special in their own way, and together, they create one big, joyful family that I can’t help but cherish! Honestly, I treasure this drama immensely!

6. When It Rains, It Pours
Japanese Drama - 2025, 7 episodes
The cinematography is among the finest I have encountered in a JBL; it captivated me right from the start. I am completely enamored with the ending OST, which has become one of my favorite tracks to listen to on Spotify this year.
The chemistry between Kazuaki and Sei may not resonate with everyone, but I found it to be quite intense. Their attraction isn't overtly flashy; rather, it is conveyed through their conversations and the unique love language they share, which truly resonated with me. The emails exchanged between them left me speechless; if they can express such deep emotions through email, I can only imagine how their discussions will evolve as they grow more comfortable communicating verbally in their relationship.
I adore the theme of rain in this narrative, as it encapsulates both emotional depth and romance. Speaking of romantic relationships, the character writing in this series was profoundly impactful. I genuinely appreciated the dialogues that unfolded, which revolved around themes of sexual desire, obsession, fear of loss, and communication barriers. I am particularly drawn to stories that evoke such powerful emotions.
While I acknowledge that the topic of infidelity is part of the discussion, I want to clarify: our two main characters were trapped in loveless relationships, being taken advantage of by their partners, and so they truly deserve happiness.
The symbolism in the art gallery was truly breathtaking.

7. Weak Hero Class 1
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This series was exceptional and certainly lives up to the hype. From the opening episode, it captured my attention, keeping my heart racing and my focus on the screen. The fight scenes were thrilling and intense, while the chemistry between the three main characters was expertly crafted.
Yeon Si Eun is a well-rounded character, balancing intellect with a mix of recklessness and caution. He displays impressive combat skills and strategic insight, sometimes revealing a ruthless side, yet he also embodies kindness, acting as the emotional center of the group. An Su Ho represents raw power, but his impulsive nature often complicates matters as the story unfolds.
My favorite character is O Beom Seok, who stands out as the most complex and flawed of the trio. His character journey was tough to watch but ultimately rewarding due to its richness. Haunted by a challenging past, his deep insecurities fueled by fear and isolation, led him to make a mistake he couldn't confront, which resulted in a series of irreversible actions. I wished for him to break down and share his pain with his friends, but he struggled to confront his issues and seek help.
I found him to be a character I could truly relate to. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and am eagerly anticipating season two. -

13. The Yakuza Boss's Beloved
Japanese Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
I was pleasantly surprised by this series. While the plot isn't particularly deep, I found the romantic elements to be delightful. It's adorable, Makoto and Ren complement each other well. Even though they appear to be opposites, I wouldn't strictly label them that way since their personalities share some similarities. There is a lot of exaggerated angst in the conflicts involving our female protagonist and the supporting characters, but watching our young yakuza boss come to the rescue was quite gratifying.
The only drawback that might put off some viewers is Makoto's timidness; she has a very low self-esteem and often blames herself for everything. While this is understandable given her previous relationship, it can be rather exasperating. I frequently found myself thinking, 'Girl, stand up for yourself!' However, in the final two episodes, she did manage to redeem herself a bit, not as much as I had hoped, but I’ll take what I can get. If you're seeking an intense yakuza drama, this series isn't it. The yakuza theme is more of a subplot, with the romance taking the spotlight. There's not a lot of fighting—actually, there's barely any—which might disappoint some viewers.
Still, I wish this series had a better rating because I think more people would appreciate it. It's a bit of a hidden gem and certainly one I'll be revisiting. P.S. Ren looks incredibly attractive, both with and without glasses. -

17. Love Is a Poison
Japanese Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
Shiba has quickly climbed to the top of my favorite male leads in BL! At first, he may seem a bit headstrong, awkward, and somewhat distant, but believe me, underneath that tough exterior is a heart as soft as a marshmallow. His unique quirks are simply too charming to ignore! He’s a devoted lover hiding behind a polished appearance. While he might start off a little shy, once he opens up to the one he cares for, he pours out a stream of heartfelt confessions that are both electrifying and unforgettable. He has his imperfections, but his brilliance shines through, driven by a steadfast determination to chase his dreams and safeguard his love. The way he combines strength with tenderness creates a fascinating contrast that makes him completely irresistible!

This heartfelt drama encourages audiences to delve into the true essence of living life to its fullest. It prompts viewers to contemplate what is genuinely important, highlighting the value of purpose, connection, and the strength found in forgiveness. With themes centered around family, independence, and self-acceptance, it artfully depicts the journey of acknowledging one's own worth. An inspiring and uplifting experience that strikes a chord, serving as a sincere reminder of the significance of embracing both life's challenges and victories.

The editing in this show was exceptional. I was particularly moved by the final scene where all the contestants expressed what being a chef truly meant to them. This season was filled with an incredible amount of passion. It was clear that each contestant held deep respect for the food they created. It was a joy to watch, and I eagerly anticipate the next season. Edward Lee was my favorite chef.

31. My P.S. Partner
Korean Movie - 2012
I never thought I’d see Ji Sung pulling a Joong, but lo and behold, here we are! It was nothing short of spectacular! If you’ve caught episode two of The Heart Killers, then you catch my drift! :p
As for Kim Ah Joong, she can accidentally call me anytime she pleases; I’d be more than happy to answer! On a more serious note I'm genuinely impressed she could maintain her composure long enough to finish these scenes—what an actress! LOL!
Now, I must say, if someone crashed my wedding while practically belting out a parody of Creed’s 1999 hit "With Arms Wide Open," I don’t think I’d run for the hills. In fact, I’d consider it the ultimate tribute, especially if it’s coming from my best friend, someone I have strong feelings for.
Lastly I absolutely adored the bloopers that rolled at the end of the film! They added an extra dose of hilarity to an already enjoyable movie experience.

Japanese Movie - 2024
I started this story with low expectations, but I was truly moved by the sincere friendship that formed between a young boy and an older man. The time they shared had me laughing uncontrollably and crying then next, perfectly illustrating the complexities of human relationships. The climax was particularly impactful; it almost broke me for a moment.
-
35. You Are My Destiny
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
-
36. My Boss, My Rules
Korean Drama - 2025, 49 episodes
Even though this short length series had a runtime of just about an hour and 40 minutes, I found it enjoyable—more than I initially expected. In terms of the Dom FL and Sub ML workplace dynamic, I preferred watching Se Yeon and Seung Gi over Ji Woo and Ji Hu in "Love and Leashes." There is something about their partnership that exudes charm right from the start, which made me laugh out loud.
Our male lead has a intriguing backstory that I appreciate. Despite being a contract employee, the female lead has her own voice even when she falters. Both characters exhibit insecurities, yet they complement each other beautifully. Yes, one is submissive, but he knows when to express his support and help guide the female lead back on track, and she reciprocates that support for him as well.
One thing to note: while this is primarily a Dom x Sub trope, there’s also a subplot that explores power dynamics in the workplace and the negative stereotypes surrounding male employees. I found this quite fascinating. The story isn’t complex, but it did manage to irritate me regarding the female character in a higher position. I definitely wanted Seung Gi to sue her into oblivion, so I'm glad she got what was coming to her! This is definitely worth a rewatch.

42. Genie, Make a Wish
Korean Drama - 2025, 13 episodes
The series kicked off slowly, but I discovered that the love story between a genie and a psychopath was a unique enough idea for me to appreciate. It contained much more blood than I had expected. It's classified as a fantasy romance comedy; however, it actually leans more towards the fantasy mystery thriller genre with romance blended in. I adored their enemies-to-lovers dynamic. Every time Ka Yeong pummeled Iblis, I couldn't help but laugh. The banter was quite odd, but it had that dry humor that is rare and often linked to some of my favorite couples in dramas; I eat it up every time. While the writing was at times a bit disorganized, the final three episodes made up for some of its weaknesses.
Surprisingly, the writers managed to infuse some intense emotions and a faded lovers trope that had me deeply invested. I truly appreciated the overarching message about choice that was presented to the individuals making their three wishes, and there was even the question of what truly defines a psychopath—titles do not define us, but our choices do. Core themes of selflessness, greed, envy, misogyny, and love are intricately woven into each wish. There is a message if you pay attention, even in the storyline with the dog. Animal lovers, beware!
PS, the kissing scenes were intense! I can't believe they pulled that off, especially considering Ka Yeong is meant to be a character completely devoid of emotions. All I'm saying is, I watched these scenes multiple times. Suzy is one fortunate girl because Woo Bin really delivered—bravo!!

43. The Male Fairy Fox of Liaozhai 3
Chinese Movie - 2022
-
44. Black Cinderella
Japanese Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
I'm dealing with a serious case of second lead syndrome. Keigo isn't the right fit for Manaha ; their relationship feels more like a friendship than a romantic one. Sora is truly kind, supportive, and was the first to recognize her inner beauty. But Once again, we find ourselves with a story where the female lead falls for the first guy she has a crush on. If she doesn't want Sora, I would gladly take him!
While I appreciate the drama's message about self-acceptance and the idea that one's value isn't based on appearance, my overall rating has dropped significantly due to my strong dislike for Yuri, who is one of the most irritating school bullies I've encountered in recent dramas. Her character reminds me of the second female lead in 'The Heirs,' which left me feeling quite frustrated. I had hoped for a dramatic downfall for her character by the end of the series, but instead, I was left feeling unsatisfied with the conclusion.
The long time it took me to finish this drama can be attributed to my dislike for Yuri; her presence was just unbearable. Although I recognize that Manaha's approach of killing with kindness reflects her character, the ending left me feeling unfulfilled. In my view, Yuri faced no real consequences for her actions, which is disappointing, especially given how heartwarming and emotionally impactful the rest of the series was.

47. I, the Executioner
Korean Movie - 2024
I refuse to believe the writers thought their audience would take this plot seriously. The killer is revealed in under 25 minutes! The detective team is so incompetent that I found myself facepalming repeatedly at their attempts to solve the case. The killer isn’t even trying to hide his identity; he’s grinning like a Cheshire cat at every turn. Even when he changes his facial features , it’s still painfully obvious.
Time and again, civilians catch him on camera trying to tidy up his screw-ups right in front of the detectives, who, by the way, give him some side-eye, but he still flies under their radar. I’m just sitting here thinking, you’ve got to be kidding me! You don’t want to catch him, do you? You just like the chase!
My favorite character has to be the live streamer, who is the epitome of every clout-chasing YouTuber or TikToker, filming himself pursuing a suspect while begging for donations—it's comedic gold.
The highlight that makes this movie worth watching is the humor in the fight scenes. The way these cops and the murderer take down suspects is downright hilarious. They’re soaring through the air, parkouring, crashing into poles, and breaking their backs on cars. The stair scene? There’s no way that wouldn’t be funny! During the rain brawl; I was laughing so hard because it looked like something straight out of Step Up 2. All this to say, this movie was far from good, yet that’s why I’d rate it at least a seven out of ten—it had me laughing uncontrollably at the sheer absurdity of the plot and its execution.

52. Sexual Lessons
Korean Drama - 2025, 3 episodes
This web series emphasizes the importance of sex education and provides insights on how to engage appropriately with a sexual partner. 57. Gokusen Season 2
Japanese Drama - 2005, 10 episodes
After enjoying the first season, I had high hopes for the second, but I found it hard to engage with the story. Yankumi retains some charm, yet she feels somewhat lost and washed out. I pondered what was lacking and realized she appears drained and more subdued. Whether this is due to her past experiences at her previous school or simply her maturing it is unclear, but something felt off.
This season revisits old plots, making about 80% of the storyline feel repetitive. While some familiarity can be comforting, it lacks the creativity of the first season. Most students were forgettable, except for the charming Takeda. The excitement I had for the delinquents in the first season was absent here. Surprisingly, I found myself more engaged with Kuma, a nostalgic character from Shirokin Gakuen's class 3D, than with the new delinquents.
Episode eight stood out for me, as it returned to our roots and developed Kuma's story, particularly his struggles with his father's shop and family responsibilities three years after graduation. The loan shark subplot added an interesting twist, and I enjoyed seeing Yankumi's grandfather involved, a detail I wished had been explored in season one.
The new teachers felt flat and forgettable compared to the memorable faculty from the first season. Characters like Kawashima and Fujiyama had me rooting for them, but this season's educators were so uninspiring that I often wanted the scenes to move on. Sawatari always seemed like one of those morally gray characters that I secretly wish to have some character development he definitely grew on me— Overall this season was just average. It seemed to rely on the audience's affection for Yankumi without delivering substantial content, failing to evoke the raw emotions of its predecessor.

58. High School Frenemy
Thai Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
-
59. Once Again
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This drama isn't necessarily bad, but it has numerous plot holes. The choices made by Ji Hoon and Jae Woo to prevent certain events I found lacked common sense , it was quite frustrating, as it rendered their efforts pointless. The issues could have been easily resolved if they had collaborated and devised a sensible plan, as all the necessary elements were available. In the second half, I struggled to engage with the romantic plot. Ji Hoon developing feelings for the older version of Jae Woo feels off, considering Jae Woo is still a child in his timeline.
The romance aspect seems poorly thought out. The final scene was confusing; I did cry, but it was more about the emotional weight of human suffering than the plot itself. I feel like I missed important details regarding Ji Hoon’s fate. Is he lost forever, or trapped in a time loop, experiencing the same tragic events? The writers failed to clarify what was truly happening in the end.
-
60. The Heart Killers: Uncut
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
-
61. Weak Hero Class 2
Korean Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
This season was okay, but it didn't meet my expectations. The story felt scattered and rushed, making it hard to stay interested. Si Eun seemed to have lost the charm and personality he had in the first season. What happened to his sharp thinking and fighting skills. His once powerful presence has all but vanished. He feels like a secondary character. The story has shifted focus to Baku and Na Baek Jin. And somehow it was never really explained properly why there was so much animosity between them. They were once friends, but they had a falling out, ok ? Why should I the viewer care?
Throughout the series, the villain's motives and choices often confused me. The pacing of the plot was inconsistent, rushing through important scenes without enough context while dragging on parts that didn't need it.
The friend group didn't have the appeal I expected. I struggled to see how these four could form such a strong bond so quickly and show loyalty to people they barely knew. Seo Jun Tae is the most interesting character for me ; he is what O Beom Seok should have been for Si Eun. Speaking of O Beom Seok, despite his flaws, he was my favorite character, and I was glad to see him briefly with Su Ho. I was also let down by the lack of other schools, which were supposed to be important but were completely left out of the big finale. And that last scene—what happened to Na Baek Jin?
I think the series would have ended better if it had concluded after the first season, especially if the post-credits scene had been cut. This would have given a more meaningful farewell for the characters and allowed the audience to reflect on their journey.

71. Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger
Japanese Drama - 2024, 48 episodes
This was my first encounter with the sentai franchise, and I have to say, I found it somewhat challenging to stay interested. I'm not sure if this is common in sentai series, but the team formed so quickly that I had difficulty connecting with the characters. The character development seemed lacking. Sakito felt somewhat detached from the others often fighting alone.
Among the Rangers, I especially liked Bun Black and Bun Orange. When I think of the perfect guardian of innocence, Jyo immediately comes to mind; his first transformation was truly remarkable. Ryu Saito really invested himself in that moment, and it gave me chills. I also found Genba's storyline as a lone ranger enjoyable; he seemed to need a big hug or perhaps an even larger lollipop. Satoru Soma's smile is incredibly charming.
While I liked the racing theme, I was let down by the absence of actual racing scenes. Many episodes felt like filler and strayed from the main storyline, which was frustrating due to the inconsistent pacing. The tone changed abruptly in several episodes, causing some confusion. I also noticed that some plots were reused, with Toilet Grumer even getting a second episode that could have been better spent on advancing the story or deepening our understanding of the rangers.
Interestingly, my favorite characters were not the main team but the Sanseater trio—Itasha, Yaiyai, and Decotrade. Their delightful humor and antics brought a wonderful element to the series. Even Madrex had a memorable exit. One of the highlights for me was the return of a legendary character, which sparked my interest in watching Ressha Sentai ToQger. I loved how the Boonboom Changers were used during the transformation sequences. However, I can't help but wonder why the writers didn’t explore Bun Red 119 more; that design was absolutely stunning! Overall, this could've been a worse series, but definitely not great -

78. xxxHOLiC
Japanese Movie - 2022
Completed: March 17
The film certainly dazzled with its visuals and costume design, but the storyline felt rushed. Trying to fit several volumes of the manga into a single movie led to a confusing narrative. I was also disappointed by Shibasaki Ko's performance as Yuko; her role was pivotal, yet it didn’t resonate with me. It came across as flat and devoid of emotion, which was a letdown. While I appreciated the film's artistic style, it had a theatrical vibe that gave it a somewhat low-budget feel at times, even with its quirky elements. The overly sexualized movements, club music, and exaggerated laughter in the final scene had me laughing uncontrollably; hilarious.

81. Kimi ga Tokubetsu
Japanese Movie - 2025
This movie wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't awful either. It's categorized as a romance, which is misleading. When we first encounter Sahoko, she has no interest in attractive boys or idols, claiming she will never fall in love because of a past love confession that went wrong. Then we meet Kouta, an idol who is the complete opposite of what she anticipated; he is outgoing, always smiling, and very dedicated to his career. Almost instantly she finds herself drawn to him. However, she soon discovers he has a troubled past and must muster her courage to help him overcome his trauma.
While I appreciate the concept, the connection between the characters feels superficial. The romance appears forced, and I would have preferred if they had remained friends, with Sahoko supporting him from the sidelines as his biggest fan. Unfortunately, that was not the direction the film took. I haven't read the manga, so I can't determine if this is how the story was originally meant to be or if the film suffers from limited runtime that restricts deeper interactions to develop their chemistry. Furthermore, we barely get to know any of the supporting characters aside from the leads.
Characters are introduced but mostly remain unexplored, with one of Sahoko's friends, who first introduces her to the idol group, only appearing briefly in a video call and then again at the film's conclusion. What was her purpose? Her presence adds little to the story. Additionally, the interactions between the band LiKE LEGEND and their manager, who abruptly cuts off their social media during a scandal, hint at a conflict regarding their future careers, yet this subplot goes nowhere, which is disappointing because it had the potential for more depth. Overall, the film leaves much to be desired. Although it was a quick watch, I doubt I will watch it again. However, the theme song "YOU ARE SPECiAL" is sure to stick in my mind for weeks to come; it is incredibly catchy!

82. Legend of the Female General
Chinese Drama - 2025, 36 episodes
-
83. Black Knight
Korean Drama - 2023, 6 episodes
Why are the young refugee boys so naive? It’s truly astonishing! People are perishing all around them, yet they approach this grave situation as if it were merely a game. Take Sa Wol, for instance; he endures some of the most intense turmoil, yet he hardly shows any real emotion—just lighthearted banter and an innocent sense of optimism. He completely lacks the capacity to make sound decisions for himself. All his actions are influenced by other characters decisions . What does it really mean to be a refugee? He has never once considered what he intends to do after becoming a delivery driver. He hasn’t even pondered what it would truly entail for a refugee to work for Cheonmyeong Group, the very organization that controls all the resources his refugee friends desperately need. I’m not claiming this series is entirely flawed; I just wish the character development was more robust. Ryu Seok, for instance, represents pure evil with no justification other than his desire to be malicious. Why should anyone sit through six hours of the series just to see his plans lead to such a rushed ending? There’s no satisfaction in all his plotting. His character is so underdeveloped that I find it hard to take him seriously; he’s just a big man-child struggling with unresolved daddy issues. I’m convinced this series was made just to give Woo-bin his moment in the limelight, as all the other characters seem to revolve around him, adding little to the main story. Except for Major Seol-ah; I find her interactions with 5-8 fascinating—two characters with opposing goals who somehow meet in the middle. And lastly the central conflict of the plot is the dangerous depleted oxygen levels . Yet here’s 5-8, casually chain-smoking and inhaling the little oxygen that’s left—make it make sense!

88. Sexual Lessons: The Side Story
Korean Drama - 2025, 3 episodes
I feel conflicted about this continuation. The first lesson was aimed at educating the audience, which I found appealing. However, the tone now appears to be completely different. The explicit scenes were indeed more intense, thanks to the immediate chemistry between Gyeong Won and Min Hyeok, so I have no complaints there. On the other hand, why did Seong Ho resort to such tactics to track down Min Hyeok? He could have easily used a different name and gone to the meeting spot to see for himself. We didn’t receive any details about what happened after they parted ways in lesson one. They exchanged names, which made me think they would meet again. Yet, something seems to have shifted between part one and part two. Now there’s a new character, and Min Hyeok appears to want to keep his distance from Seong Ho. Is it because he’s trying to be professional and maintain his distance, or is it because he felt no attraction? If that’s the case, why did he open the door for more lessons in part one? I’m not suggesting he can’t change his mind; he absolutely can, but the lack of context makes part two feel a bit sudden. Then there’s his reaction after he discovered Gyeong Won was secretly recording him. I wish he hadn’t returned for the remaining lesson after he walked out. What exactly was he trying to prove? While he had a good time, I don’t see it as a power move or a way for him to retaliate against Seong Ho. And what was with the photo on his phone? Does he take pictures of every individual he has lessons with to promote his business? I have more questions that need answers, but I fear if there’s no lesson three, I won’t get them, which is unfortunate. Still, I enjoyed this miniseries, just not as much as the first part.

92. Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart! (Uncut Ver.)
Thai Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
This series was such a disappointment. The first two episodes had me hooked with a promising concept, but then it all went downhill. The pacing was painfully slow, bogged down by endless dialogue and hardly any action, which was infuriating. The villains felt like they were evil for no reason at all. And the side characters? Constantly betraying each other—why would you ally with someone you can't trust when your life is at stake? The romance barely made an appearance until the second half, and when it did, it felt completely out of place. One kiss, a steamy moment, and suddenly they’re discussing marriage and adoption—seriously? Jack's character was a total wreck, devoid of any real substance, while Yin did his best with a weak script. The only bright spot was Toiting , Granny and Joke; War brought genuine emotion, even if his impulsiveness caused chaos. His actions stemmed from love and care, making him the glue that held the plot together. The final showdown? A chaotic mess that left me scratching my head about what the writers were even trying to say. Overall, I’m thoroughly disappointed and won’t be coming back for more. It was just too boring. I really hope the male leads get a chance in a better project; they deserve to shine, but this was not it.

93. As Beautiful as You
Chinese Drama - 2024, 40 episodes
I regret my choice to stick with this drama until the end, as the decisions made by the writers and editors left me confused. The rapid unraveling of plot points made it difficult to remain engaged, and despite Xu Kai's performance, the storyline felt directionless. The female lead's character lacked depth, and her relationship with the male lead came across as forced and sudden. Poor music choices often led me to skip scenes or mute the TV, while choppy editing resulted in jarring transitions that left many plot threads unresolved, causing frustration.
Ji Xing's struggle with quick decision-making was particularly evident when faced with challenges that pushed her beyond her comfort zone, revealing her vulnerabilities as a leader. Her reliance on Han Ting for major decisions diminished her credibility in such a high position, and her tendency to react irrationally, only to later admit her mistakes, was frustrating to watch. It raised the question of why we endured the stress if she was going to concede anyway. In the complex world of corporate dynamics, trust is crucial, yet she oscillated between faith in Han Ting and self-doubt, often refusing his help when she needed it most. This misunderstanding of his intentions added unnecessary tension, especially since he was silently enduring stress for her sake. The supporting characters were also underdeveloped, failing to enhance the narrative, which resulted in a lack of tension and engagement. The prolonged buildup across episodes led to a stagnant and unsatisfying plot, me longing for a more cohesive and impactful story.
Overall, I cannot recommend this drama, as it feels excessively lengthy and would have benefited from being trimmed down to 16 to 20 episodes. Additionally, it lacks any real meaningful character development and fails to provide an engaging story.

97. Ballerina
Korean Movie - 2023
The action scenes were decent, but why did the main character go through so much for a classmate she hadn't talked to in years? A casual drink, a beach walk, and suddenly she feels alive again? Then she finds a note from the ballerina urging her to take revenge, claiming she's the only one who can. It's absurd! How could she know that? Did they have a deep talk about her career?
The writers fail to explore the villains' backgrounds, the real power dynamics, or police involvement. Are they part of a larger gang or just minor players? What happened to the captive girls? Despite the buildup, we are left confused and without answers. Those involved in drug production wore ankle monitors, yet this detail was ignored. The so-called hero finds evidence of many girls being assaulted, tortured, enslaved, and likely killed, but takes no action. Instead, she eliminates everyone, meaning the girls in the videos or at the hotel where the first victim was found get no justice. She cannot know if other similar operations exist.
She claims they must not act quickly for the plan to work, yet her actions are illogical and reckless. She enters unaware of how many people are there, what weapons they have, or if cameras are present, even bringing faulty guns. Her character feels superficial; I can't connect with her or empathize. She shows little emotion, mostly just yelling and anger. When about to kill, her expression is blank. It's strange that she lost someone important, yet meets another girl in a similar situation, who only serves as plot armor to help find the drug dealers and shoot when danger arises-merely used to buy time for the main character. They portrayed the drug lord as terrifying, only for her to shoot him in the head in three seconds.
