1. Little Forest
Korean Movie - 2018
I never knew looking at food and landscapes for two hours could feel so relaxing and comforting.

2. Little Forest: Summer & Autumn
Japanese Movie - 2014
I absolutely loved this, the landscapes, the food, the knowledge, the calmness.
-
3. Bunny Drop
Japanese Movie - 2011
A lot lighter than lighting up the stars, but it was very obvious they rushed through the original story. I really need to watch the anime now.
-
4. Love in the Big City
Korean Movie - 2024
A serious yet heartwarming movie about a very wholesome friendship. Deductions for smoking and unneccessary drama.
-
5. Lighting Up the Stars
Chinese Movie - 2022
Not an original story by any means, but heartwarming nonetheless, with great acting. Those 1,5 hours went by in a blink, leading me through a rollercoaster of emotions and without making me feel drained. 1 point deduction for the rushed character development and dissatsifying conflict resolutions.
-
6. Road to Boston
Korean Movie - 2023
Took me a while to get into, but I ended up cheering for the runners and their team. I usually don't like patriotism, but here it was well-deserved and very fitting (and not military or political). I had goosebumps by the end and someone also cut onions.
-
7. Faceless
Japanese Movie - 2024
A thrilling crime drama that had me glued to my screen with a sadly only half-baked ending that wanted to cater to too many tastes at once. It was too complex of a story to put into a movie.
-
8. Conjuring Curse
Chinese Movie - 2023
Great overall concept that added a great red string. Very fitting OST. Huge fan of the trio, especially ninja guy.
-
9. Chihayafuru Part 1
Japanese Movie - 2016
Cute and interesting, a good introduction into Karuta that made you feel passionate for the characters and the game. Ending wasn't 100% as I wanted it though.
-
10. How to Make Millions before Grandma Dies
Thai Movie - 2024
Emotional but a bit slow at times with nice characterisations and great acting.
-
11. Better Days
Chinese Movie - 2019
From heartwarming to heartbreaking, this movie was dark and deep. As it is based on a real story, I wish they would have emphasised that aspect more. Some character's decisions I found hard to understand.
-
12. And So We Put Goldfish in the Pool
Japanese Movie - 2017
Cinematographically stunning, artsy and very strong in setting the atmosphere.
-
13. In the Wake
Japanese Movie - 2021
The storytelling was a mess for the actually very intriguing story it had to tell, but 12yo me couldn't care and wanted to give this an 8 so here we go.
-
14. Last Mile
Japanese Movie - 2024
Too many messages and issues at once. I loved the complexity and the red string of the plot, but especially external factors could have been introduced and concluded a bit more clearly. Forget logic, too.
-
15. Summer, Bus
Korean Movie - 2017
Sweet and wholesome with a bit of meaning I could've done without.
-
16. Let's Go, JETS! From Small Town Girls to U.S. Champions?!
Japanese Movie - 2017
Had they shown a bit more dancing, I would have given it an 8. While the characterisations were rather shallow, the passion for the dance, the hard work put every individual team member contributed in their own unique style and the way the team dealt with setbacks all were great to watch.
-
17. Bullet Train Explosion
Japanese Movie - 2025
This was a lot better than expected and surprisingly thrilling. I didn't figure out the culprit from the beginning and never would have guessed the why. Characterisation could have been a lot stronger and of course you'll miss any realism, but I still was hooked.
-
18. Yesterday Once More
Chinese Movie - 2023
I don't know what the point of this movie was, but there was some nice attention to detail and the couple was cute I guess.
-
19. Misty Creed
Chinese Movie - 2023
Lacked context of the original series so a bit hard to follow through at times. Don't think too hard or the plotholes will swamp you. 0.5 extra for broody ninja guy saving the day with actions before words.
-
20. Unforgettable Love (Movie)
Chinese Movie - 2021
A nice rerun of the series with the scenes cut well into each other. Not recommended to watch as a standalone movie.
-
21. Go Brother!
Chinese Movie - 2018
A nice short movie, the mystery was a bit too obvious to me and the ending too open. I also didn't enjoy the fantasy element, although it was the plot driver.
-
22. Secrets in the Hot Spring
Taiwanese Movie - 2018
Nice comedy, nice although superficial message, not so nice fantastic elements and not spooky at all.
-
23. Officer Black Belt
Korean Movie - 2024
The action was good, the humour nice, it just didn't have much of either and the plot was rather forgettable.
-
24. Parasite
Korean Movie - 2019
A bit too extreme for my taste with smart main characters turning average and a message dropped in favour of shock value.
-
25. Innocent Witness
Korean Movie - 2019
Cliché ridden, ableist, messy plot with too many unfinished plot lines and a ton of convenient coincidences.
Review: https://kisskh.at/profile/Invisible_Soul/review/515386
-
26. Prophecy
Japanese Movie - 2015
Intriguing yet not very unique setting with yet another disappointing ending. At least police wasn't completely incompetent, though they had some strange priorities.
-
27. Revelations
Korean Movie - 2025
Thematically consistent, cinematographically expressive but suffering from poor characterisation and failed attempts in presenting motives to actually evoke doubts about my own morality.
-
28. Call Me Chihiro
Japanese Movie - 2023
Too many open chapters with no closure. Nice atmosphere but FL was hard to like.
-
29. Time Raiders
Chinese Movie - 2016
Some parts were a straight 9/10, others more like a 4/10. They tried too hard to include Western styles and tropes and it ended up being over the top and not even remotely related to the original franchise.
Early parts of the tomb were funny, clever and had a lot of bromance. It all went downhill from there. Skip through the last third and you'll have a great time.
-
30. Digital Video Editing with Adobe Premiere Pro: The Real-World Guide to Set Up and Workflow
Korean Movie - 2020
Peak comedy employing some elements of horror and a short adobe tutorial. Loved it.
-
31. Midnight Runners
Korean Movie - 2017
Two equally idiotic MLs that should have paid attention at police university but instead bulldoze their enemies. This had more fanservice, shock value and prolonged action scenes than it had actual fights, investigation and excitement. I mostly felt annoyed and frustrated watching.
-
32. Love Mate (Movie)
Korean Movie - 2023
The movie was actually better than the series, but I also had a harder time overlooking all the red flags so I had to downgrade the rating.
-
33. Hear Me: Our Summer
Korean Movie - 2024
I love movies about sign language and this one was beautifully filmed and so calm. Plot and characters felt very incomplete and onedimensional though.
-
34. AI
Chinese Movie - 2020
A short film with an interesting premise and concept and subtitles who think you're stupid.
-
35. Collectors
Korean Movie - 2020
Confusing, hard to follow, too many things happening at once with bad foreshadowing. Liked the ending.
-
36. Her Love Boils Bathwater
Japanese Movie - 2016
This was all over the place as it tried to tangle up various plot lines. The mother's character made no sense to me. I was glad it wasn't a sad movie but it never managed to explain the lack of overhwelm and sadness given how much drama the plot offered.
-
37. Midnight Diner
Japanese Movie - 2015
Really relaxing and perfect before bedtime, but confusing storytelling with too many characters I couldn't care for. A lot less food and a lot less diner than I expected from the title.
-
38. Pawn
Korean Movie - 2020
Storytelling was a bit off, the relationships grew quite abruptly and a lot of issues were brushed over rather quickly.
-
39. Yakuza Campus
Chinese Movie - 2016
Easy and light RomCom with 100% predictability and enough comedy to make me smile occasionally. Not good, but enjoyable as a one-time watch.
-
40. This Is Not What I Expected
Chinese Movie - 2017
The comedy in this was amazing and I really enjoyed the cooking aspect of it, but the romance was pretty forgettable and some scenes were just way over the top.
-
41. Midnight Diner
Chinese Movie - 2019
Where's the diner? First 30 minutes were great, but then it went down from there. A lot unneccessary violence, drama, romance and daytime outside stuff I wasn't the least bit interested in.
-
42. Mentalese Express
Taiwanese Movie - 2023
It felt a bit long at times as the inner monologue didn't go anywhere but ended up being really cute.
-
43. Nothing Serious
Korean Movie - 2021
Nomen est omen this was absolutely average with some crammed up unneccessary drama in the last 15 minutes that was there just to be there. ML was nice, FL...just was. Felt like some writer just had some "hot takes" they wanted to throw into the world.
-
44. My Sunshine
Japanese Movie - 2024
FL was annoying as hell towards the end, wish they'd just left it to be fluffy, inspiring and cute. Absolute non-ending.
-
45. Colors of Wind
Japanese Movie - 2018
The intriguing mystery and great magic turned out quite underwhelming. The whole movie lacked consistency and a clear concept in execution.

-
46. Tomb Making Notes
Chinese Movie - 2023
Strong FL turned damsel in distress, ML is the greatest idiot and the smartest guy of them all is actually still average.
-
47. Where Your Eyes Linger (Movie)
Korean Movie - 2020
Rewatching it in movie form didn't really solve any of the issues I had with it.
-
48. Mary Is Happy, Mary Is Happy
Thai Movie - 2013
Torn between wth did I just watch and why did I still like it? It was unhinged and random but strangely addictive.
-
49. My Paparotti
Korean Movie - 2013
It someohow lacked passion, and I hated the "he's a genius" trope, that not only made it hard to see the character develop his abilities, but also neglects the amount of hard work any professional puts into their skills. I didn't like any of the characters either. But the scenery shots were beautiful.
-
50. Mom, If I Were a Vampire
Taiwanese Movie - 2022
Artsy, metaphorical and very (very) stomach-churning. The ending felt weird and forced.
-
51. The Monk and the Gun
Taiwanese Movie - 2023
Pretty landscape and an interesting insight into history and culture met a nonexistent plot.
-
52. Jump
Hong Kong Movie - 2009
The romance sucked tho ML was cute, the dancing was nice, author's fiat was everywhere and the plot still nonexistent. Extra points for the nice landscapes.
-
53. Bread of Happiness
Japanese Movie - 2012
You can't have a heartwarming story in a place that looks like nobody lives there. No decoration, many backgrounds looked like wallpapers that the characters were pasted in front of. The character's stories felt flat.
-
54. Whisper of Silent Body
Chinese Movie - 2019
Admittedly didn't pay much attention while watching but it was a disappointment still. Storytelling and characters were lacking and it had almost nothing to do with investigation.
-
55. A Tale of Samurai Cooking - A True Love Story
Japanese Movie - 2013
First half was cute. Predictable, but cute. But as the plot moved away from cooking and romance, they lost me. Make bad decisions, win bad ratings.
-
56. Penalty Loop
Japanese Movie - 2024
No explanations, just open ends. Barely any talking but I wish someone had explained just one thing. The plot was intriguing, but the storytelling sucked, the characters were black boxes and the rest was nothing special either.
-
57. The Pirates
Korean Movie - 2014
Chaotic, boring, the comedy was fine and ML was nice. That's about it. -1 point for what they did to the poor whales.
