I discovered Tyan Cheng because of the hype surrounding Legend of the Female General. After watching it and really enjoying his performance, I realized I already had several of his dramas on my PTW list. That led me to binge four of his shows back-to-back in 2025—I actually had to stop myself from watching everything at once just to avoid burnout!

I’m genuinely looking forward to his future projects. He truly deserves the success and recognition he’s getting—going from mini-drama actor to supporting male lead and now main lead roles. His growth has been impressive, and I’m excited to see how far he’ll go.

I had many of his dramas on my PTW list, but every time I considered watching one, I ended up passing on it, mostly because of that horrendous old profile picture (thankfully, it’s been changed now). Everything changed when I came across the trailer for The Unclouded Soul. Seeing him there, I was honestly surprised he looked completely different from his profile photo, and his screen presence immediately caught my attention.

I decided to give it a chance and I ended up really enjoying it, and that experience pushed me to start watching more of his dramas back-to-back. He eventually gave me one of my all-time favorite dramas, Love in the Clouds, which made me appreciate him even more as an actor.

Now, I’m genuinely looking forward to his future projects, and I’m also excited to go back and catch up on the many dramas of his that I missed before.

He is truly intelligent when it comes to choosing good scripts and diverse characters, and he brings each role to life with his brilliant acting and captivating voice. Even without watching his most popular drama, The First Frost, I already deeply appreciate his performances. I believe that once I watch it, I may end up liking his acting even more. What stands out the most to me is the diversity in his roles he doesn’t repeat the same character type, and that versatility makes his work consistently interesting to watch.

Tian Jia Rui was the shock of the century for me.

The moment he appeared on screen, he carried himself with the presence and confidence of a seasoned actor. I actually had to pause the episode and check his MDL profile  andI couldn’t believe it was his first role. His performance felt that natural and convincing. So far, he only has two released works, and I’ve watched both. Now I’m genuinely excited to see what he brings next and how he grows as an actor.
