Shows I dropped and why

I was expecting a lot more epic fantasy with a badass FL and a lot less generic romcom with a damsel in distress. Take a unique concept and make it...generic. Ugh. 90 mins per episode is  just way too long. Also got spoilered about the ending. Definitely overhyped.  

He's a jerk. That's the plot. No, thanks. 

KSH + clichés + long eps = nope. Used to like it for watching when I got home really late and just wanted to watch something but somehow that changed and it just bores me to death. 

Knowing a bit about business myself I just don't buy the characters' stupidity. You read so many books about economics and still don't understand the basic principles, you deserve to fail. Knowing better sucks. 

Got spoilered about a huge red flag trope and decided not to go there.

--- Finished 10/2025 --- Nowhere to be found after they removed it from Netflix. Might pick it up again one day.

I loved the upbeat and positive energy of this so much, but the plot and characters made me roll my eyes so hard I could almost see the back of my skull. Might pick it up again one day.

-- Finished 07/25 -- The plot just turned way too sad in a bad way and overly dramatic. I guess the only reason I watched is that I really wanted to see the initial setting, but there's not much I liked about the rest of it, really.

--- Finished 10/2025 --- Might pick this up again one day. Currently annoyed by the plot driven by mishaps and misunderstandings that all could have been prevented, but look at our great and brave hero who voluntarily suffers through all of this instead of just using his damn mouth.

-- Finished 01/2026 -- It had absolutely nothing intriguing anymore, I didn't fancy any of the characters, the story is finished, the plot told. Xu Kai's acting can't save me from my boredom.

ML is an idiot and reviews state it won't get any better. I am tired of the "acts like he doesn't like her, says he doesn't like her but the script demands he likes her" trope.

It's triggering me in a hundred different ways and I don't know if I will ever be able to look at it more calmly again. Might pick this up one day if I can.

I thought this was about a strong girl, but now it's about a criminal plot I can't take seriously.

I used to love Meteor Garden, only to discover it was a remake and wanting to watch the original, only to then discover I had started to find knowingly crossing boundaries scary, not romantic.
