Upcoming 2026 Shows and Movies I'm Excited For

Dec 22 '25

First 2 episodes were interesting. Was a bit average in between and then became interesting again at the end. Good mystery. Didn't relate to the female leads behaviour with Laik. Didn't make sense.

Dec 24 '25

Good but not as good as the original.

Jan 2

Jan 5

An easy watch. Good characters except for the ML which I'm not that keen on. The comedy I'd ok. Doesn't really name me laugh. Overall it's nice.

Jan 16

Enjoying it a lot. Very curious about the FL's plan and her friend from the past. Pretty good watch but something was missing.

Jan 16

Jan 17

Getting better after a slow start.

Jan 17

Jan 20

First episode was ok.

Jan 22

Doesn't make a lot of sense but it's quite interesting. I was amused.

Feb 1

Really fun take on parallel universes. I loved it. Great chemistry and acting.

Feb 4

It started off great then got a bit confusing. End was all right. Still good to binge.

Feb 4

Feb 6

Reminded me a lot of A Dream Within A Dream at first but doesn't match its humor. No action from the ML. Overall I enjoyed it.

Feb 6

Low budget production with a bad script, poor editing, poor direction and bad acting. Watching out of curiosity. Very difficult to watch.

Feb 11

Feb 13

I enjoyed it a lot. Great for a binge. Some didn't like the ending but I found it reasonable. We had enough information.

Though the plot was interesting, FL's acting was ok. I didn't see much chemistry. Some appearances were way too short. Blink and miss. Overall it was nice.

Mar 14

Mar 13

Very enjoyable. I'll probably give it a 9 by ep13. Got a bit boring towards the end.

They really outdid themselves with the action. It was a great watch! I really missed Kim SaeRon a lot though.

Apr 8

For a movie everyone was talking about, it was not great. Somewhat scary (for me). But I just didn't understand why everything was happening. Might need to rewatch with better subs.

Apr 10 -  *

Only watched the first episode which was ok.

April 17

Such a fun drama! Everyone acted so well! I loved the ending too. One of my favourites this year.

Apr 18

Apr 20

A great mystery drama! Very unique story telling style showing the past and present while managing to hide the face of the killer. Worth watching!

Not as scary as I would have anticipated. It was interesting though.

Enjoying the supernatural side. A bit slow but interesting story. They wanted it to look like a love story without committing to one. The thread of faith plus softening towards each other. Also the CGI was good the story felt very silly with karate fighting the monkey king in order to control him. Being trapped between mirrors. Sounded good but execution was uninspiring. Overrated.

May 8 AKA Wicked World

Enjoying it although I expected a bit more drama. It was good but I expected more. She adjusted far too quickly to modern devices. Even the elderly struggle with changes though it happened gradually. She lost her fierceness as soon as she changed into modern clothes. No awkwardness over it. Also she immediately became a fashionista. The ending was okay.

May 11

Game style screen is fascinating. The over the top reactions of everyone is quite incredible and what makes it fun. Love the character developments. Though negative points for using AI for the intro. It was quite enjoyable overall. The supporting cast were also good.

May 15 - completed

Started off slow but built good momentum. Need more romance. Plus point for slagging off isntreal.

May 21

Just another zombie movie. Credit for them trying to make the zombies more interesting. But the flaw is that w didn't get much character development to be attached to any particular character in order to root for them. Strong female characters was a plus though.

May 22

First episode was ok

May 27

May 30th AKA New Employee Chairman Kang

I'm a bit unhappy that the chairman is in the footballer's body after destroying his career and showing him 0 empathy. Mainly watching for the actor.

Couldn't enjoy it as the chairman's life was the main focus wth office politics making the bulk of the story. The footballers life was not prioritised. Not much comedy except at the very end. Disappointing considering the interesting premise.

Jun 1

Already annoyed that they've used AI. Will be reducing points for that. 1st episode was okay.

Will probably drop this.

Jun 2

A really fun drama! The actress has mostly played negative characters but did great as the female lead! Her acting skills are wonderful! I love second chance time travel dramas and in this one the FL didn't have much information besides knowing the true intentions of the man she's going up against. She complied relied on gambling everything to prevent history repeating itself. The male lead eventually becomes her ally and sword but she's the one making the moves. Worth watching if you enjoy depictions of strong women taking charge in a man's world.

One of my favourites of 2026. Focus on bullies, harsh realities of the education system, pursue on students and teachers.

Major negative point was that they highlighted a fake sexual assault accusation by a student on a teacher wheras there was no case on the very common sexual assaults that students do face. Also the source material is problematic and misogynistic.

Loved every minute of it! Great premise. Some trigger warnings though. It has scenes of sexual assault in the drama they are shooting for. The story is about two actors having to quickly prep for intimate scenes and lines end up blurring. The OST is great too. Many songs sung by Ollie one of the actors. Highly recommended drama!

Jul 5

It was very interesting in the beginning but towards the end I got quite frustrated by them kissing then acting like nothing happened. The story was dragging and the end was also disappointing.

Jul 9

I liked it. All the MLs are good looking. The only thing they never address is why does the soul swap happen to begin with? Also SPOILER how did the husband survive?

Jul 10

Waiting for it to become available.

Interesting. Good CGI. Not scary so if you scare easily then this is watchable. By if you love horror this might come across as disappointing. They did manage to keep me guessing.

July 18 AKA Spellbound / Chilling Romance

Interesting but not captivating. I've seen 3 episodes. I enjoyed it but they didn't have enough ghost stories. Overall it was good except for a few flaws like superstitious granny. Don't know if that pendant worked.

A cute BL. Although the cop ML annoyed me at first, the character had development later. Hopefully AI wasn't used because the thread movements were good.

Aug 28 - complete

It started off a bit slow. Stopped mid ep2.

Aug 28

Very interesting and completely binge worthy. Enjoyed it a lot. Reminded me a lot of The Time Of Fever. The ending kinda ruined it for me but it was still too good for me to score it low.

Aug 29

Perhaps the best kdrama of 2026. Love the leads including the female lead. Saw 4 episodes but waiting to catch up soon. Every episode builds tension really well. The background score, opening theme music and music played by te leads are all beautiful. Although I didn't like the final episode as much, and it has AI use in at least ep6, I landed on a 9.

Sept 18 - complete

Not a brilliant story but all the actors did an amazing job. Just too much unnecessary nudity.

Sept 26 - currently airing

The first two episodes were so good! I love a good time travel drama. The comedy is good too! There wasn't much comedy in ep5. Also a bit of criticism for the actors playing siblings is they are not able to portray each other that well. The fault is with the director who is highlighting the FL and so when they switch bodies, the personalities are off. It is affecting my enjoyment a bit. Still enjoyable upto this point.
