I cackled so much from this show! The ending was perfect because it's exactly how I expected Kiew to handle the situation! He ain't care how it looked, he was taking his man back even if they now had a 20+ year age gap. 💀 TOO Funny!
Loved the cast and the camp in this series. Cooper was perfect for this and I hope to see him in more roles like these.
I don't know what folks are talking about with this ending being creepy. Kiew and Bamee met and fell in love when they were the same age and were adults, and they both still remember the relationship. I would honestly love a season 2 to explore how they manage this with their friends, with hopefully everyone getting their memories back about him, and more Priest/time travel shenanigans.
I am surprised A LOT of ppl are complaining about this series.... if anything this was ONE of the best BLS to…
Well said. This series touched on some major issues that often get brushed under the rug in our societies, and in such a compelling fashion. Everything about Uea's mother's behavior was authentic and so was Uea as the victim not getting the proper justice that he deserved. It was great to see a positive end to his journey in his relationship with King. Who went through his own growth in really understanding Uea and what he's been through.
and of course, they did have some of the best chemistry I've seen.
YESSS, the darker skin isn't mentioned enough when we get to see it on the rare occasions that we do in Thai BLs. We definitely need more men like Net in these shows.
I'm not surprised by the negative reception in the comments here. This is a very common theme on MDL, with many folks seeming to hate-watch these dramas just to spew criticism. I'll admit that the editing seemed off in the first couple of episodes for me, and I didn't know where the plot was going at that point, but that quickly changed by the third episode. I think the series improved progressively over its course.
Let me just get my thirst for Mr. Daddy Jeng out the way first... Wheew!
But no. I'm loving this so far. The focus on Jeng's character growth was done so well here! Self-reflection is such an invaluable life-tool that can really help you grow as a person. Asking family you trust and listening to what people consistently say about you can help you reflect on what you need to improve upon. I LOVED that Jeng stopped and listened, and didn't try to make excuses for himself. Pat's report was a godsend.
With all of that being said, it was brilliant that we learn how those negative traits were shown to be great positives in other fields. Jeng only really needs to learn how to better navigate them with interpersonal relationships and I'm certain people would give him a lot less sh**.
The only thing I didn't agree with was Pat having to apologize to Prem for his behavior. But I did like that Jeng asked him if he was okay with doing that first. I think their relationship is coming along well so far. The stuff at the party was hilarious too!
The second couple sounds deliciously messy! I hope folks don't start pulling out their nun gowns though, because let's try to remember this is a fictional story. It's meant to be taken as entertainment. The drama is spiced up for our own amusement, and some of us really love the messy stuff! It's fine if you're not cool with it though.
I think Daddy is, because he makes too many assumptions about Pat without evidence, and treats him like a child…
Very true! Jeng was doing too much and not enough here. He lectures Pat to do one thing but behave in a manner opposite to his supposed ethics! He definitely has some growing to do.
But I really think Jeng just has the wrong impression of him and his work personality. There have been too many unfortunate coincidences that have led him to believe Pat is some delicate flower with a short temper. He hasn't seen what he's been through or is willing to learn Pat's character properly, but I'm sure that will change.
I just hope he realizes what Pat needs is guidance, and not a father figure who micromanages everything and scolds him every chance he gets. He already knows well enough from right and wrong.
Also, Man is only 32 years old and Ben is just 10 years younger. This "daddy"ing is icky.
I think it depends on the context and regions. Daddy isn't just a literal term in the US, especially in gay circles. It can simply be referred to as the dominant partner. Jeng, for example, is younger than me, and I would still call him a Daddy.
lol Daddy was not in the wrong. He's being professional all time and complimented Pat's hardwork before he gave…
I think Daddy is, because he makes too many assumptions about Pat without evidence, and treats him like a child that needs to be lectured and micromanaged:
Assumed he never said no to his seniors. Blaming him for their behavior and unprofessionalism. Assumed he consistently losses his cool to his coworkers, and thus "can't control his emotions". Assumes he's flirting with his assistant. Assumes he didn't send him the slides, when he told him that he did.
He tells Pat that he needs to work as a team player, but then decides to step in and change Pat's work without telling him first. Assumes Pat wouldn't finish in time and does the work for him... Not good. The fact that he accuses Pat of malicious intent or getting back at him shows that he knew he overstepped in the first place. He assumes too much based on Pat's age without asking and neglects to see that Pat is in a much lower position of power in the company,
He also fails to notice when his workers are not doing well emotionally. Pat, after basically being sexually assaulted, was never asked why he was crying, and was instead lectured not to do it at all. Lol
The only thing I agree with Jeng on was Pat making his department look bad after he clapped back at Ying in front of the clients for throwing him under the bus. That should've been handled better, and he did lack the experience to see the bigger picture in that situation. Especially with their department being at risk of a shut down.
With all of that being said, I think Daddy just got the wrong impression of Pat based on how he managed the situation with Ying and the clients. Which is just enough to make the dynamic between them interesting for now, since both have bad impressions of the other.
I am enjoying it for the eye candy only and I think they were banking on that.
Yess, get your guilty pleasure, gurl! I don't blame folks for sticking around for that. If they were a little older I could probably do the same, but they're like babies for me, so without a plot/story, it's not giving. lol
This sh** was hella funny! The low budget gives it its own quirks. The rollerblade scene was a nice callback to the 90s, since that was one of my favorite recreational activities that I did among friends back then. And I can't take Cooper seriously in any role. So this was perfect for him.
The quality of the production, the cast, the stories, the social commentaries, the ost... They nailed it! I don't know why people feel the need to compare actors and ships, but I thought EVERYONE ate here. This was my first time seeing Fourth and Gemini, but I thought they held their own beside their senior actors. Those babies have a bright future ahead of them. Earth, Mix, First, and Khaotung remain consistent in their work as well.
Shout out to P'Aof, who is becoming a legend! He's done, or been a part of some of my favorite series. Please, Please keep this man involved in future projects!
Sir, go off! The series slayed! Periodt!I'm so proud of the team for producing such a social conscious series,…
I'm saying I agree with what you said, and that you delivered your statement with passion. My apologies for confusing you with some of my slang terms. lol
I thoroughly enjoyed the series but I am a bit conflicted about the coda. It was a bit anti-climatic and preachy,…

I'm so proud of the team for producing such a social conscious series, full of important and positive messages for so many of our groups, and doing so in such an entertaining fashion.

I did like the fight scene despite the ratchet camera work, editing and sound mixing. I hope the gurls can find some way to enjoy this one. 💀
