Title Our Days
From the comments, it seems to be the chemistry between Mon & Soh that is off putting for a lot of viewers in…
Hey, gurl!

While you make a valid point, what you're describing isn't something a viewer gets to decide for the character or the relationship. If the excuse that someone shouldn't fall in love with a person is because someone outside of that relationship finds that person "boring" by their standards, then there would be a whole lot more single people in this world, sweetheart! Simply put, Mon wasn't attracted to Saint and only considered him a friend at best... rival at worst. So your statement would more apply to them(Saint/Mon) instead of Mon and Soh.

But if we're talking objectively about who is better fit for a character in a story, then I have already made those points clear. If we go with the general consensus, I find that people(especially BL fans) tend to be superficial and dishonest with their opinions on MDL. Typically favoring appearance over character and substance. If the lead actor/character is too thin, too heavy, too feminine, or not "beautiful" by their preconceived social standards, then they're usually critical of those characters. That isn't too surprising considering the demographic and the type of people who typically consume this sort of content. Luckily for me, I'm typically not so interested in the appearances of these actors. Many of them are too young for me to see them as anything more than babies.

But my main point is simply that people find Offroad/Saint the far more attractive of the two(They've said it many times back when the show was airing weekly), which can easily sway their opinion about him. When in truth, his actual character had very little development and had even less interaction with Mon. Boring is simply code for "ugly". There is no reason to think Soh is too boring for Mon, especially when Mon himself has the personality of an old rock. Chile... Saint had better chemistry with his actual friend, who was actually attracted to him, but neither of them got the development they needed.

The show centers around topics about social stigmas and how they negatively affect people. Saint is seen as the talented star that everyone wants to be, while Mon is the social outcast who has given up on his dreams(he was the "unattractive talentless benchwarmer" for his basketball team). It is because of this that Mon couldn't relate to Saint, but it is Soh who continually showed him his worth. This was of no fault to Saint though, who actually liked Mon, but he is too afraid to tell him. You would have to watch the show to get the full context, but it's pretty evident that the narrative was to turn those stigmas on their head. Which is why the story works better for Mon and Soh.

Title Never Let Me Go Spoiler
i immediately thought of batman when they were in the alley lol
Haha, yess! Rich folks in a dark alley with a son is never a good sign. Not to mention the mother wearing a pearl necklace, which was a nice nod too. I saw it coming from a mile away, even though it didn't play out quite the same way.

Chile that left me snatched! Bruce Wayne origin story, powerhouse mama, and compelling family politics, all wrapped around a BL story with two great leads and supporting cast. Phuwin simply slayed with his performance. He sold the drama, the love, and the chemistry. Not to mention the English, which was even better than the subs. He's come a long way since 'Cause You're My Boy'.
Pond also does well bringing the 'strong but gentle hand' to Palm without it feeling forced. The dynamics between he and Nuengdiao at school fit like a glove to me. Hope the series can keep this same energy throughout its course.

👏👏👏 A round of applause for the cast and crew behind this wonderful series. The action, romance, drama, suspense, social commentary, costume design, music, acting and storytelling were all top tier. I was fully engaged and enamored by how incredible this series was. It's something that you can feel proud to watch with your whole family and know they will take something positive away from it. There are no words to describe how perfect it really is. Best series of the year for me. A big thank you to everyone who supported or will support this show!

Subs will be posted very soon. They are currently processing on the sites right now...

It served for me. Mangkorn and Yai's story wrapped up pretty well. I especially loved Yai's growth as a character and how his relationship with Mangkorn progressively matured. The parallels that were drawn between the grief for his mother, and the relationship with his father and Mangkorn was well executed and relatable. The cinematography and production value has to be applauded as well. Lots of beautiful imagery and moments in this show. Mos and Bank did a great job here. Definitely Star hunter's best production by far. Looking forward to season 2!

Title To Sir, with Love Spoiler
I honestly expected a much higher body count in ep 15, but now after seeing episode 16 it's clear why they didn't…
Well said, sis! Yang and Tian have the best brotherly bond of any drama I've seen. I think what you described would be my most favorable outcome as well. Ms. Bua definitely deserves some peace after playing the proper mother and wife for two women that were treated far better than her in the household. I don't want to spoil anything from episode 16, but Bua telling Jan and Li their sons were grown a** men and old enough to make their own decisions was life giving! She always had everyone's best interest at heart and made positives out of her own
plight. I'm excited to see how this all will wrap up!

I think them deserving better was always the point. Yang and Tian were raised in a dysfunctional household by greedy selfish parents, Jiu was raised in a much harsher environment where he was forced to work for evil people in order for his siblings to survive. But now they are finding their own happiness and the people who did them wrong are getting theirs and learning why they are horrible people. But I think it's more important that these three learn that they were never the problem, like they always tell themselves, and it was the people around them.

i'm on episode 15, someone tell me did they redeem madam li and Jia's characters just like that? by just saving…
I honestly expected a much higher body count in ep 15, but now after seeing episode 16 it's clear why they didn't make that happen. Folks still needed to learn their lessons, and it's therapeutic for both Tian and Jiu.

Can I just stop for a moment and apperciate Lenny B's work on billibilli? The speed of hers/his is just amazing!…
You're welcome, sweetheart! I'm glad I could help curb the long wait for the subs.

And I have to give a shoutout to our hardworker Gian. Who gave me something to work with in the link he provided for the show on TrueID with Vietnamese subs. Without it, this certainly wouldn't have been possible for me to do.

Thank you I think this is a fantastic analysis. This drama is fantastic but I think it definitely went wrong with…
We agree that they had feelings for each other, and had romantic moments together before those feelings were forced out by his mother's drug. But those moments were out of their control. You can't help how you feel about someone when you're together with them, Yes, Tian wanting to see Jiu was one of the reasons he continued to return despite Jiu being opposed to it, but this does not mean Tian was trying to encourage a relationship with him or that this was the only reason. He didn't even believe at that point Jiu was romantically available to him. At the end of the day, even if he had no romantic interest in Jiu, he would still do all of those kind gestures for a person who saved his life. He's not the kind of person who would abandon a struggling family even if they told him not to help.

And it was Jiu who approached Tian in the garden(which wasn't flirting by the way, Tian was upset after helping his mother cover up a murder, and Jiu was cheering him up), and it was Jiu who asked for the job. These were things that were beyond his control. Jiu is another story, because he doesn't have a reason to be concerned about his sexuality. He's poor and his parents are dead.

I mean, the only alternative for Li not opening up to Song was to murder Tong or let him sell the secret to the highest bidder. If his father was involved there was very little chance Tong would expose the secret given how powerful he is. Family is important to many Asian cultures, but I've noticed that tragedy can change them for the better. Mr. Zhang's death was instrumental in that because his death has weighed heavy on everyone, especially Song.

It's either a plot hole or Li is just selfish. The whole reason Mr. Zhang was denied the coffee position was because they all agreed that him being outed would affect their business. Tian being in the top position doesn't just affect him, but the family as a whole by her own logic. She knows this is why Song probably won't let Tian have his position if he learns the truth in the first place.

As for greed being the wrong word, what you described about ambition does not exclude greed from the context. I also believe you're going under the assumption that there is more power to be gained from her position, when she quite literally sits at the top of the mountain(at least in terms of what you can achieve as a woman in that time period). When you're at the top, all you can do is to defend it. If she was fine with her current status and not greedy, then Tian not taking the top spot wouldn't be a concern to her. It's that simple.

Thank you I think this is a fantastic analysis. This drama is fantastic but I think it definitely went wrong with…
She doesn't want him to live a life of suffering yet she's piling up bodies and other things that he's blaming himself for now. Lol and trying to kill his brother and other family members...

If she wants to protect him that way then she has failed as a mother in every way, because what she's been doing is telling him no one can love him and everyone has to die for him to have a good life.

No one said she was disgusted by him being a gay man, and of course it's fear. Fear that she would lose her status and her son will be shunned by society. I already agreed that fear was part of her motivation and that she loves him, but she's still proven to be a greedy selfish person on top of all of that too.

The fact that you're still saying she isn't at this point is really only justifying all the murders and crimes that she's been doing. The time period doesn't excuse that.

There no reason to assume the people in his family would shun him after they openly criticized Song after the way he treated Mr. Zhang.
