Started it because of the heartbreak and pain second chances bring but I just couldn't get past FL being unable to look into ML eyes, even when it was just the two of them she was always looking sideways like wasn't she suposed to be this controlled and stoic person, pretending she didn't care??? She should've been able to do that at least to put all that act off.

Anw it was my first time actually watching both leads, and while VS character was disappointing, CXX's acting was a pleasant surprise! He managed such micro expressions that brought so much life to his character, although I didn't love him as a love interest, I think his career is worth following, if you have any series of him worth checking out, mainly contemporary (not the biggest fan of wuxia/fantasy ones), please recommend!

He did look a little shocked but his steps were far too slow, I didn't feel any need to get to her as fast as he could from him :( which sucks because it could've been an iconic scene.

I adore Kim Yoojung but the only emotional parts (with tears and crying) she gets right, in my opinion, are those in which she is trying really hard to swallow her tears, here it's whenever she is imagining Madame Ju.
It was meh when she was crying over SK being stabbed.

I think that was the director/post production team, because her hands were all over him in all of those different angles and we actually got glimpses of fuller kisses, unfortunately the slow motion made it kinda boring.

OMFG YES to the ML clothing part JSJS.
He looks SO MUCH better in these 'more casual' fits AND BLACK, I don't know whose idea it was to use gray and gray-blue suits that go with nothing on his already limited closet, they look so bad and my man knows it -from that getting ready for DingDing's party scene.

And can we also comment on the FL hairstyle PLEASE she looks so pretty with her hair down, why insist on that same old bun, it doesn't have to be down all the time but cdramas really come up with ONE style and stick with it til the end.

On the acting tho, just have to say it sometimes feels as if everyone's waiting for the person in turn to finish so they can go over their own lines.

I hate it when y'all put looks before acting but MY GOD KIM YOO JUNG IS GORGEOUS, like, I knew she's always been very pretty, but she looks stunning in here... that profile? god for sure has favourites.

I LOVE how these mega cliché and full of overused tropes kdramas are taken just like that in 2023: unseriously.
It was the same for King The Land for me, sometimes we are simply here to have fun and a good time + it also feels as if the characters were making fun of the absurdity too.

I thought only tvn delivered this production quality, I mean soundtrack + gorgeous scenes (except for the underwater one, it looked awful jsjs) + DRAMA.
Dialogues are a bit... awkward, but we'll see where it goes, for now you've outdone yourself sbs!

While I do have the biggest crush on Elaine Zhong right now, I have to admit I have a bigger one on Su Ying, my girl was soooo amazing, like I'm not even joking, I wanna be her when I grow up.
She was just SO well written, so smart, so nice and understanding (but never a saint, she knew how to be mad), she knew herself so well and she was just so confident in herself and her craft that one couldn't help but admire and root for her all the time; and honestly, she deserved better in the end but oki if that was what she wanted, I feel like I trust her to always make the best choices for herself jsjsjs.
It sucks that we won't be seeing another Su Ying anytime soon in cdramas.

Finally, I gotta say I'm a little bit disappointed they wasted such great main cast on this messy plot, but I'll be keeping an eye on them in the future, good luck to all of them!

As much as I agree that Seojun is scared of Ranjoo taking what would be legally hers when she reaches 20M sales, we can't deny that she is irresponsible, unreliable and definitely not educated in the least in company management to such extent + she's clearly got some addictions that need to be professionally treated.
But he did make a fortune off her talent, it seems, since selling almost 20M copies in less than 10 years in no small achievement, so... idk, they could've reached an agreement or something long ago, but here they are.

Whoever styled her deserves a big rise! She looks pretty, confident, smart AND her age, and from that breakup flashback with her ex, we can see that probably came with growth and a shift in her relationship with herself.
I'm ss every new scene cause all her fits look really nice, realistic and affordable!
