Please let there be no romance. The 1st season was perfect the way it was. Any romance would kill the essence of the show which celebrates friendship and family.
I get frustrated seeing people wanting romance in a drama that doesn't need it. Like 99% of dramas have romance in them. Please go watch those dramas and let people like me enjoy this 1% of 'no romance dramas'.
Maybe my expectations were too high but I was disappointed. If you're going to make a series about the a/b/o universe, you should go all the way I think. This series felt like the alpha aspect was just a tiny part - could even have been removed entirely without affecting the main plot much.
Also really surprisingly Babe/Charlie as a couple bored me, as did Jeff and Alan. Wish we'd gotten more of Pete/Way or Pete/Kenta - these were the couples that I was actually interested in lol
He's gay and has a few photos/videos of him being close to Seonwoo. In one video, he kisses a doll then tries to use the doll to kiss Seonwoo. Lots of little hints here and there if you go through his instagram haha - was shown to me by some korean fans.

I agree that Seonwoo definitely wasn't hugely into Seongho. He even admitted that Seongho wasn't his type. I think Seonwoo liked Seongho's character and wittiness, but not as a lover. Yunghee was sooo cute the way he completely fell for Seonwoo. But here we definitely see the difference between a young man (barely older than a teenager) and an older more experience man. I think Seonwoo knew that young men fall in love easily and fall out of love just as easily, and that the relationship wasn't going to last. I'm glad that Seonwoo didn't take advantage of Yoonghee's naiveness to enjoy a short fun relationship. I do think that Junseong was a bit over the top during the show, but am happy to see that he's absolute softie when it comes to Seongho outside the house. They're both soulmates. But on watching the Daenyeol commentary, I think that Junseong summoning Seonwoo from bed to discuss Seongho and planning to confront Hyungjoon was kinda immature. And how Junseong purposely didn't eat Seonwoo's breakfast purely because he felt jealous.
This season had way too many new characters, and not enough interesting and creative monsters. The saving grace were the soldiers and their bond with each other. Younghoo was my favourite. I definitely want to see more of them next season.
It's also annoying to see some characters go on about how not all monsters are bad, and it's humans that are the real villains. 🙄 But when a monster threatens someone they care about then it's okay to kill the monster. A lot of double standards.
One of the very few thriller kdramas that doesn't have sexual violence against women (though there is some sexual harassment sigh). I'm so sick of watching mystery thriller kdramas only to see women constantly being raped/assaulted.
It also annoyed me that the main characters had a holier than thou attitude towards the mafia - like come on. What do you want the mafia to do? Just die to save you? The mafia is trying to survive just like you're trying to survive.
It annoyed me that the bully basically tortured Wooram and that was just brushed off.
To be fair, they gave a lot of foreshadowing for the ending from the very start - it's just that I thought it would go in a horror genre direction rather than the direction they did go in.
Also how old are these schoolkids because I'm surprised no one pointed out how the female teacher having a relationship with Anan is literally paedophilia?
Singto is such an amazing actor. The fact that I could instantly spot that it's Trin in Dan's body the second Master Joe came into the room!
Is it bad that I'm kinda rooting for Trin haha. The character is just so interesting and I love how grey he is. He goes to any lengths to fulfil what he believes in. His affection for Master Joe, though unrequited and inappropriate, is endearing. I did laugh though, when at the end, he doesn't even look at his parents who're grieving his death, but just stares at Master Joe instead.
This series has some great acting powerhouses - Singto (one of the best young thai actors I feel), Fluke (always delivers - it's just a shame that some of his projects have been kinda boring), Fiat (GMMTV your loss) and also Mr Utt whose facial expressions were hauntingly perfect.
Honestly, there were many parts that were slow and I had to skip. I dreaded each time Dan fell asleep because it was so repeatable (he sees the shadow, gets scared, wakes up confused). BUT this is a fresh drama with a unique plot, and I loved the folklore and historic references.
My favourite was Trin - what a complex and interesting character! I kinda wish he was the main character from the beginning.

My favourite scene was when Seonwoo clings to Yoonghee in such a cute way! 😂 It was adorable seeing Yoonghee try hard not to react when his heart was obviously pounding like crazy. I think Seonwoo was trying to comfort Yoonghee in a way.
I do really wish Seonwoo could have given the relationship a try! 😭 I think it would have helped Yoonghee mature even more and challenge himself, and it would have helped Seonwoo find stability. Also, based on pure visuals, they would have been a stunning power couple 😭😭😭 But alas, it was not to be.

I agree that Seonwoo was definitely attracted to Yoonghee but unfortunately - like you say! - Seonwoo is just that type of person who overthinks and pursues only the actions that he feels is right. So Seonwoo was probably thinking there's no way he'd be introducing a boyfriend 12 years younger than him to his friends and family, and Seonwoo also probably thought that Yoonghee's feelings were just infatuation that would quickly fade since he was 21 years old. Now we all know that Yoonghee planned on marrying Seonwoo within that 1 week of knowing him (Yoonghee admitted to it at the reaction video 😭), so Yoonghee's feelings definitely wouldn't have faded so fast. But from Seonwoo's perspective, here's a kid declaring his love for me after barely knowing me - this kid will probably fall out of love just as quickly once he sees the real me (Seonwoo admitted himself that he's insecure and doesn't have confidence in himself).
Another factor was that Yoonghee was so respectful of Seonwoo! While Yoonghee was clinging onto the other hyungs, or joking with them and hugging them (Junseong even said about how physically affectionate Yoonghee is), Yoonghee barely touched Seonwoo. Yoonghee just got too adorably flustered whenever Seonwoo was near him that it made him seem more withdrawn and shy than he really is. Even up to now, you can see how Yoonghee really keeps a distance from Seonwoo - never actually touching him. When the whole group went on a trip and played in the swimming pool, Yoonghee was dunking everyone under the water (especially Seongho and Junseong haha!) but with Seonwoo, he was really careful and even went under the water himself to make the dunking as soft as possible.
But Seonwoo wants someone to banter with, someone who is his equal and who makes him feel young. So sadly, Yoonghee being so respectful likely had the opposite effect of making Seonwoo see him as even younger than he really is sigh.
Honestly, the best thing about season 2 is the pure wholesome friendship between all the cast members. It's so cute how Seonwoo/Minseong/Seongho still meet up often, how Daenyeol/Yoonghee are so close, and how the whole group sometimes goes on trips together. I hope Season 3 gives us more of that friendship side!
