But coming back to Payback, I still think the series follows the original story quite closely. I'm referring more to the overall plot and the sequence of events rather than the exact portrayal of every character. Of course, any film or TV adaptation is bound to lose or change some elements from the source material, but I genuinely believe this adaptation stays as faithful to the original story as it realistically can. 🙂

Well...just some changes, but the story is identical almost step by step (minus the raunchiness). The MMA fighter is a tennis player, the actor is a sculptor, the junior fighter from the club is a photographer, the old terminally ill granny is a terminally ill brother, etc. However, the story itself is the same :)
I’m absolutely loving this series so far! I read the novel a while ago, and I’m genuinely impressed by how faithful the adaptation has been to the original story. The acting is outstanding, the production quality is fantastic, and every episode keeps getting better.
Once this incredible series comes to an end, could we please hope that Jinx gets the same treatment? It would be amazing to see it brought to life by the same directors and production team. They’ve done such an incredible job with this adaptation that I can’t think of anyone better to take on Jinx. I know thousands of fans would love to see it become a live-action series too!
