Is it the typical law drama where the ML or their family got wronged, so ML became a lawyer to fight against corruption…
Something like that. ML was a prosecutor from a rich family, whose corrupt father got himself entangled with some tropey corrupt political cabal and was forced to kill himself. And his clingy lady love got involved by accident and was murdered by the same bad guys. But she was so unrealistically nice and conscientious for a "corporate suit" lawyer that she decided to quit at the peak of her career and open a law practice for one dollar pay. ML, being unable to find the bad guys, quit his job as a prosecutor and continues her legacy as a one dollar lawyer in the present. It's now 100% clear that him taking down those corrupt bad guys is gonna be the end game. So yea, it's your typical law drama with a very cliche main plot. However, there were several very funny episodes in the beginning when ML and his team were investigating stand alone cases. Those are the real highlight of this drama. Not sure how many of those are left though with only 6 episodes remaining, middle part was taken by ML's backstory I described above.
I really like that sharp witted, coldhearted bitch Kang Chae Ri, she's my favorite character in this drama 😅. She's a total pro. But also mysterious and have some good qualities buried deep that she doesn't like to show anybody. Much more interesting to watch than a mess that is FL.
It's giving Tomorrow vibes but not much. I missed the Lee's and all the actors, it's hard not seeing their existence…
It gives Tomorrow vibes because FL is practically a Joseung Saja (Grim Reaper). A popular tropey mythical creature. There are many dramas about Grim Reapers.
Blind date girl continues to be fcking annoying. Just how desperate is she to nab ML? Seems like she doesn't have any self-respect since she's still zoned in on him even after hearing a clear no and is willing to embarrass both herself and ML in front of the cameras to force something between them 🤦♂️.
Also, I've rewatched that beginning in episode 1 and it seems FL won't be with that reality show's production team until the end, judging by how everybody were saying they haven't seen her in a while. Probably something will happen and she'll move on to another project.
And while there's not much evidence so far, mainly the vibes, but this drama may be one of those dumb stories where leads were circling around each other but never landed together in the end. They'd keep making same stupid mistakes by dating wrong people and it's just gonna turn into a slice of life with no satisfying ending. Just something to consider - beware of potential waste of time and maybe binge when it finishes airing.
Well, no surprises there with the killer reveal. Called it already earlier.
They're just having a spin on Memento movie plot here.
But damn, stonefaced ML creeps me out. It's not like he had many facial expressions to begin with, but now he really does look like he could have been the psycho killer. Is this some cunning plan of his to ruin Gido or is he really doing it to take the blame for his brother? If it's the latter, then he's not in his right mind either - it's a death sentence. If it's the former, then it's an act to make people believe him, but still, poor FL, she totally bought it, it seems 😥. She may not be the nicest person, but she's trying and using her like that is just cruel. She should kick his ass hard when she bails him out in the end.
Scrolling down the comments it looks some people are still not over Bu-Yeon being discarded in favor of returning FL to her original body. Looks like it's still a very divisive topic. I guess it is indeed a make or break plot twist and I agree that it's rarely ever done on screen because it usually doesn't work. If you watched AoS solely for JSM actress and her "Mu-Deok" character I guess there's no helping it, maybe you shouldn't wait for part 2. But if you're still interested how the story will end and are in it for the characters I think you should give part 2 a chance. And I think Bu-Yeon character's story is not finished yet.
As for some other ridiculous stuff, like still confusing who "Mu-Deok" character actually is and making it sound that only JSM can pull off FL role - just stop, you're embarassing yourself. First, "Mu-Deok" does not really exist - it's Naksu inside Bu-Yeon's body. Her personality is all Naksu who is the real FL here. So trying to say that FL will suddenly change her personality when she moves back into her og body is just dumb. Second, sure, actresses may be different and nobody can copy another person with 100% accuracy, but I'm sure GYJ will try her best. No need to be so dismissive without even seeing her act. Also, both actresses voices are similar sounding so it will help with immersion as well. If for some reason she'll be terrible and will ruin part 2 with her acting I'll be the first to scream bloody murder, because I care about quality and consistency a lot. But I've seen some of her prior work and I think there's no reason to be concerned. And lastly, I think most of the negativity about this plot twist stems from the fact that people got used to JSM playing FL and they wanted to see her as end game. But is there no nagging guilty feeling in you about the fact that "Mu-Deok" was a shapeshifter with unresolved running wild problem and that Naksu continued using innocent woman's body? There's no way FL could have had a happy ending with these unresolved problems. Something was bound to happen and it did. From what we've seen it doesn't look good for Bu-Yeon now, but who knows how her story will really end?
would you have preferred if she didn't, and Yeo Reum found out AFTER she was married to that man?
That woman decided to raise the child on her own after a one night stand, ok, her right. But if she really wanted that, did she really need to drag the guy who did the deed into it and wreck his wedding? Looked more like a jealous revenge, if anything. I didn't buy her sincerity. But whatever, she was just a plot device to show that FL would be a dumbass to marry that untrustworthy asshat.

But introducing such popular character as White Truck Of Doom in the first episode already is a little over the top? 😅
