Somehow I was expecting a-la Goblin Grim Reaper's ending for GR and PJG, but I guess this is ok too. Leaves a room for season 2, however I doubt it with Netflix's current financial situation.
Very nice drama overall, very relevant topics were raised. And actors did a great job.

I agree about the plot. However you gotta admit that both FL and her BFF actresses did a remarkable job, especially Kim Se Jeong. Imho, they carried the entire show, it would have been a very average rom-com without them. If they're so damn good at such a young age, I expect even greater things from those two in the future.

It doesn't really get better as episodes go on, so if you're already bored then skip it.

Literally wanted him dead only one person - the main villain. The stalker also at one point, but reconsidered. His best friend and gambling ex-teacher who hit him with a car didn't want him dead - the detective in the last episode gave him a report showing they too called 911 that night, not only FL. So except for the villain, others just wanted him to suffer, either in the professional field, or personally.
And him having nasty temper had nothing to do with the villain's evil behaviour; his competitors wanting him gone from the industry; his best friend sneakily backstabbing him for what he didn't do and not even talking to him about it openly; Ms. Ma for doing corporate spying for money; or his ex for being clingy and unreasonable after dumping him herself specifically in the meanest way possible. They all would have done the same even if he was a nice guy.

I'm not saying he's innocent, but he was at fault really only concerning his workforce. But even so, his ex-secretaries (they really should have gotten a life already) latest prank really went overboard and that's not even talking about the crazy stalker. The stalker should have filed a police report about the real culprit behind her problem. She knew whom to suspect and you can find internet bullies nowadays by their comments IPs. But she decided to lay all the blame on her boss, who had nothing to with her problem in the first place. Yea, it was cold of him not to believe her, that was his personality to blame. But his company's HR would have said the same to her and likely did - in cases such as these, companies tend to defend their image and quickly get rid of allegedly "me too"-ed workers. Just look it up irl.
In any case, they too went overboard and rightly could have been sued. And the stalker definitely will go to prison for numerous serious offenses, no way around it. I guess that's why when he apologized in the end, he bowed only to his ex-secretaries and not to the stalker.

So all in all, he was a nasty boss, but there are nastier bosses out there, this one just got very unlucky with everyone ganging up on him all at once, lol. But that's one of the points of this drama - to make him realize his mistakes and become a better person. Also, it wasn't only just him who did that in the end, most of the people who were out there to get him realized they were at fault too.

I think writers wanted to show FL going through famous five stages of grief, lol. From shock and anger (hence revenge on ML), to acceptance and forgiveness. Really liked those scenes when FL was self-reflecting on her problem.

The ones that hit the hardest and were most difficult to watch - episodes about a bullied girl, about a rape victim, about Im Ryung Goo's mom, about comfort women, about FL's and Park Joong Gil's past. Most of these are about mistreatment of women, come to think of it, but that's because this is so relevant even today.

I think ML actor being slim helped selling his character being exempt from serving in the army. I doubt you can get exempt just for being a neat freak like FL jokingly suggested, but height to weight ratio is a real thing that can get you exempt.

I know these two words don't usually mesh, but they do convey the feeling I got after watching this movie - disgusting masterpiece.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but it's a very slow and boring show. I figured out what happened after about half the episodes and had to frequently fast forward all the meandering scenes. Younger ML's fixation on older ML got annoying really fast too. His self-righteousness also got on my nerves.

The broadcasting company may be to blame for the controversy, but I disagree with people review bombing this show just because of it. There were many hard working, talented people involved in the production of this great show - the actors, the writers, the staff. They had no say, and had nothing to do with it - their work should be reviewed honestly.
Also, this controversy seems overblown - hard to notice, like an easter egg, and not showing 1 to 1 the same personal data. So it looks more like a coincidence than anything else.

Yea, like why the 2nd couple are not married yet after a whole year? Afaik, in manhwa they not only got married but also had a baby.
Ending was very rushed, this drama should have been a couple of episodes more. Instead of dropping that dumb last minute LDR trope, it should have been about grandpa accepting FL on-screen and visiting her family's chicken shop. And more about the 2nd couple, and some fan service scenes of all of them together in the end. But nah, baited the audience with many great expectations, but ended up ruining them.

It wasn't just his nasty personality. His personality got him in trouble with his secretaries and suicidal stalker. But most of the people who were out there to get him were doing it for their own selfish reasons - his ex (jealous revenge after dumping him 12! years ago), his ex-boss from another education company (professional jealousy), the main villain (just a big jerk, also jealous), his best friend (dumbass, influenced by the main villain), Ms. Ma the teaching assistant (for teh money).

Crazy Love - also about a boss and his subordinate. But it's actually much better overall than ABP, imho.

I really don't like FL actress. She's done too many plastic surgeries on her face it seems, so now her smile looks plastered on her face and looks very disingenuous. I've noticed that since What's Wrong With Secretary Kim. She'd had a normal face earlier, in Healer, for example.
I really like ML actor though, guy has range and can pull off different roles. His most recent work in Crazy Love was even better.
As for this show - it's pretty boring. FL is too pretty for your average hardcore fangirl to be believable, then she even forgets all about it and the show stops being funny. There was this dumb trope that I absolutely hate - "met as kids = destiny!". And also awkward stepbrother love.
The only thing I liked about it was the mystery of the bubble paintings and how they all compiled together in the end like a puzzle.

Started interesting, but got really boring after about 6 episodes. I also hate that dumb trope "met as kids = destined to be together". In how many such dramas FL's actress starred already? I recall similar crap in Her Private Life in which she starred as well.

This show gave me some Vincenzo vibes, but wasn't nearly as good overall.
