The way the use the end credit meme in starting the show, the fruit ninja slashing, the meteorite, the lightning, the poem uttered by LMM, the bugs in the system which fast track the plot to the ending.
People think that main plot will revolve about demon hunting story but it is not, it is the plot of the novel Ling Miaomiao reads and ranted. The main plot is the complicated system that Ling Miaomiao try to understand.
Most of the Isekai, heroine just wanted to survive and try to change the story. But here, the system have the most say and give Ling Miaomiao mission to complete. If she deviated too much, the system might collapse. The bugs started to appear in latest episode.
They may have familiar trope and plot, but they make it extraordinary and pleasing to watch in my opinion.

Ling Miaomiao before entering the novel said she hates how some characters is written. Maybe they intentionally give an NPC feels but the characters will be more realistic as the plot goes further.

In episode 12, they show flashback: two mountain valley lovers are the one who gave names to the water demons couple. In that mountain no one has name.
