I reaaaally don't get why some people only want it to be about the kids when all of Ina's most interesting interactions have been with the FL. it seems like people who prefer surface-level youth dramas started the wrong show, because the mystery and the character development of all of the flawed characters is very interesting to me, if all you want is straightforward "green flag" "heart fluttering" romance scenes but don't take interest in complex dynamics and drama then the full scope of this show isn't for you maybe
side note: being an adult, the kids romance is sweet but a little strange to me as he liked her out of nowhere and he looks and sounds 17 and she looks and sounds 11 but to each their own
I wasn't going to judge at the beginning of the drama but Gwi Jo needs to do better by his daughter. I understand…
i agree that he needs to do better but that's kind of the point of the drama, and compared to the beginning he's already made huge improvements by taking an interest in her eating and her school life, he's just clumsy still. also noteworthy that in this episode the father revealed that he basically didn't exist anywhere for years as he was trapped in that traumatic moment, so no one could see him I'm the time he was trapped in and he wasn't present in his current time so he was basically a ghost against his will for years and lost his ability and came back into his daughter's life at an even more traumatic moment, just a long horrific struggle that would take a while to overcome. imo they're lining up for him becoming a proper father as he's overcoming his mental illness, we'll see how it plays out in the next eps
am I the only one that likes flawed characters with their ups and down and then us seeing their slow progress…
i was thinking the same thing, how could there be satisfying character development if all the leads are perfect to begin with? and they're even mild for flawed characters because you can tell they're all good people at heart, idk what the problem is
Is there any antagonist or a bad guy so far? i know the FL is a scammer but I fear she's gonna fall inlove judging…
there isn't really a clear antagonist yet (it seems there's parts of the plot left to reveal) but I think the FL's mother might be, as she's the one forcing the family to scam and has killed people who didn't earn her enough money allegedly
Technically with the a side character (there's a little bit of a catch to it though) but not with main couple
the relationship was already ending because the boyfriend was pushing away the girlfriend after she'd gained weight and was treating her like he was ashamed to be seen with her even though she was literally financing his business, the girl that "broke them up" for the con is also slowly gaining admiration for the girlfriend as she's cutting her losses and instead improving her self esteem and it seems like they may even slowly become friends, I would still give it a shot rly it's taking interesting turns
I don't get why people dislike the FL so much, from the beginning none of it was emotional and what she did was usually done to men who weren't good people. You can tell she gets more and more hesitant to follow through with the con and even asked the "mom" to change targets. And with the reveal in episode 4, she's not even doing it for pleasure, she was left behind by a drunk father and preyed on from a young age and is trapped in a manipulative environment. The fact that she manages to be kind to the people of the family naturally despite not being shown love (even if the end goal is a scam) shows what kind of person she really is.
What is the gener of this movie? Any romance in this movie?
the genre of this movie is sort of slice of life and mystery/supernatural, and there is romance, he goes on dates (?) with his girlfriend and reminisces with his ex
I just saw it, and kind of dropped it midway and skimmed which was very disappointing =/ was really looking forward…
yeah I agree, the pacing was strange and there wasn't enough context, because it was a really interesting concept but the writer didn't stick to one thing which made the movie messy, it could have been really good
I don't know how to express this, because in this movie I couldn't find the main point. Was it the main lead's…
to me it was about slowly unraveling who she really was and how her actions really showed that she was lonely and wouldn't really allow herself to get close to anyone even though she helped other people get close to each other, and at the end it's hinted at that what the older lady said to her might have helped her and she's slowly healing
basically Choi Hong (Lee Seyoung) goes to study in Japan and falls in love with Aoki Jungo (Sakaguchi Kentaro) and they start living together but are separated because of various obstacles but are still in love, and they meet again in Korea several years later as he's in the country promoting a book that he wrote about them and she has to translate it to Korean, I think
i feel like overall it's a really good show with a nice central theme that gives a different spin to the "going back in time and meeting your parents" trope with good performances but the pacing in the show is horrendous to me like i keep finding myself skipping unnecessary drawn out scenes and putting like 15 minute chunks of an episode on 1.5x speed, there's a lot of filler. other than that looking forward to seeing how it develops!
Don’t like daft endings. Sounds this may have one anyone advise ps. What is the movie it based on and is that…
this one has an open ending but most of the characters have a happy ending, I wouldn't say it's daft. haven't seen the original so I don't know if it's better or not but it is darker than this one and does have a sad ending
side note: being an adult, the kids romance is sweet but a little strange to me as he liked her out of nowhere and he looks and sounds 17 and she looks and sounds 11 but to each their own
