Its an interesting role but people hating her does not always mean they hate seeing women in male dominated roles, it probably just means she's a shitty person and its okay to be fascinated by her nature and still hate her😅

There wasn't much to work with but another comment also mentioned she seemed distant in the intimate scenes even and I have noticed it too, her expressions jjst seen very blank with no emotion. Its not even bad acting where she tries but its just giving nothing. Its very unusual for her though so idk. Yeah they just work everything out and say oh so and so was videoing or listening in the background, its so amateur frr.

I just want it to be over, its definitely not going to be something I cant stop thinking about. Its a pairing I was dreaming about but in reality it doesn't work unfortunately. Hope Their next projects are better.

Asides the acting, the writing didn't even save them either. none of the chemistry was built up because they rushed the whole childhood thing and made it serious so soon. I don't even swoon at the romance scenes

This drama is giving 'nollywood', Everyone is conveniently at the right place at the right time. I've let it slide but I think the writers really thing we are fools, They are just coming with random stuff and using cheap ways to solve the problems, its kind of annoying. When the ml and fl kiss or get intimate, it just feels so forced and awkward I don't know how to explain it, this is the first time I have felt this way about a jing so min drama as she is my girl but something is definitely off. As much as they had fun in set, the drama itself did not come out as well and I dont think the chemistry grew at all. its just awkward and cringy , I cant explain it but thats how I feel about seeing them kiss in these episodes. Maybe its the poor devt but tbh I think even if it was rushed, you'd still feel the chemistry but I just dint think its there. There's a comfort missing.

I will complelete this drama as its 2 episodes left and I'm more curious about the uncle, his other wife and grandma story line.

yes slice of life with romance is perfect: my liberation notes is top tier, summer strike, because this is my first life, fight for my way, call ot love. but all these had well developed love stories that I didn't feel were rushed though. Idk I think with kdramas I'm fine with them not doing much romance if the rest if the story is even engaging which I see in Typhoon family... theres actually a lot going on, I'm still in episode 4 but I didn't think they would havr any actual romance till i saw some edits on tiltok. Yeahh everyone has their tastes and sometimes maybe the stage if life they are in, they want sth stress free and easy to watch.

In comparison, I don't even find the Romance slow and wish they didn't introduce so early or make it obvious. Everyone likes whatvthey like in the end, but don't dismissive kdrama watchers. I personally believe kdramas do the best slice of life genre among all the Asian dramas. Cdramas have a better story line for long form dramas though.

they do have good looking actors thoughh, I think japanese gatekeep a lot in general. And I think you are right about the lack of NC scenes making them less popular but tbh I find Japanese bls way more intimate even the ones without kiss scenes. I did not enjoy Takarqs treasure and found it very cringe the acting and chemistry was bad and the story did not make sense. when it rains, I pours was such a good one but it was soon rushed and it felt like the st9ry got left hanging. the build was so good but it was too short. Japanese dramas in general are underrated esp internationally because its hard to find English subs
