right I mean that's one of the biggest characteristic of the genre lol...really thought jokes aside, the main theme in xianxia is usually to depict this super idealistic concept of "love" in which the characters go through hell and back (including betraying e/o a handful of times and even dying and getting reincarnated again) but end up realizing they still love eachother, a.k.a things come and go but "love" is eternal
look I'm all in for protecting all female leads but yall are being way too mean too ty good lord...where was this energy for male characters 50 times more awful and horrible than him 😭

my biggest pet peeve is anxiety taking the good of me bc I hyperfixate way TOO much on a drama I like 🫠 I haven't watched today's ep yet but watched ep 16's preview and I've been feeling awful for like 6 hours now and reading the comments is making it worse but I CAN'T STOP DOING IT
some people need to realize vfx is not done by a couple of clicks in adobe after effects and it's actually very hard and time consuming to design and animate! Mind you this is done on a niche idol webdrama budget ofc it's not gonna look like avatar
my brain is drawing parallels again : dfqc (lbfad) feeling deeply touched when he saw the moon tribe women praying for the sealed souls of their family members after war vs something in ty shifting and making him swear revenge when he saw the elves' kids praying for their deceased parents who died to save him 😭

It doesn't stand for the litteral "idol" in cn pop culture, just romance dramas that are less serious in tone with popular and pretty actors and all lol...most of the dramas and actors we follow are idol dramas and idol actors

I'm obsessed with it too, probably the first thing that got my attention for this drama 😭and their wedding looks so dreamy and fairytale-ish and disney-esque in the ending cred clip I seriously can't wait

YES SHE LOOKS SO GOOD IN THIS WHOLE DRAMA!!! Also thank god the wigs look flattering and the foundation shade actually matches the actors' skin color lol
