I have a question from web novel readers, are there really no xianxia novels out there that are NOT about same story involving gods and demons and humans, master student or whatever falling in love and getting reincarnated 10 times or it's just that the cdrama producers are so obsessed with novels with specially this type of story cause they think it sells ??? Everytime I see pics and clips of this show on my sns feed i shed tears for the fvcking finally employed talented and creative makeup artists, stylists and custom designers who actually use the budget in a good way rather than making the characters look like the snoozefest boring typical xianxia character the industry does NOT want to let go since 2017 lol...And HELLO??? It seems like it's really not gonna be dubbed!!! I just need women to play characters with more layers anf complexity, having more struggles than the male character. I respectfully disagree. WR popping up with her bright outfit in the middle of the forest with greyish green and dark/neutral tones can be a visual metaphor itself 🤷🏻‍♀️ She was supposed to bring light into the dark world from the beginning (yeah it might not have worked that well but it WAS the intention anyways) and the lack of change in her outfits' color pallets over time AND different occasions, which is in total contrast with the other characters, shows that she is the only one who has not "changed". WXS, LC, LM and pretty much everyone else experienced major changes in their ideologies and beliefs over time and that actually shows in how what they wear is gradually changing while WR is the only one who doesn't want to accept these changes and briefly talks about how she would still want to be the same even if the world collapses. That's the point.
