well I don't think not seeing a pair of celebs in a drama that's barely started shooting is worse than what people who did unpaid labour for this whole thing and were relying on the money they thought they were gonna make from it to feed themselves feel sitting through the drama airing and reminding them of the abuse they faced...

Dir zeng kind of delivers what guo jingming thinks he is doing and sort of fails in certain aspects. They both use similar methods and tricks to make things look more dramatic but zqj understands when and how much of them he should use a lot better imo. The slowmos are not overused to the point of bothering the audience and the theatrical (closeup)shots of the characters faces don't make the show look like a makeup/perfume commercial and also, no extreme whitewashing and smoothing filters ^_^

when you think about it It's kind of maddening that MZY's very first breakthrough after 5 years of falling vicitim to a huge misogynistic hate campaign and going through the deepes pits of hell is a rebirth drama...like she litterally and figuratively resurrected lol

just bc the leads are idol actors (zjm isn't even one tbf but she does act in idol dramas sometimes) doesn't mean it's an idol drama 😭 romance in the alley also has young idol actors in the cast but it's not an idol drama lol

y'all need to understand that good writing tends to create mystery and purposefully confuses the audience in the initial stage of the storytelling. Maybe just MAYBE you could be patient with some media before drawing absolute conclusions lol

he never beat that guy and lying abt your identity in a thriller romance is not even mildly toxic behavior lol ...the only violent behavior he showed throughout the entire show was on ep 2 and that was litterally bait to create mystery around the main char lol
