we're in 2024 and ppl STILL misunderstand the devil judge and keep mentioning it whenever they see a vigilante judge drama 💀 like the entire point of that show and what made it stand out from the crowd of "morally gray man fights the bad guys his own way" was that the judge dude in there WASN'T a vigilante. He actually tried to manipulate ppl around him and even us as the audience into believing he was one but he was pretty much a villain after his own gains (not denying that he was a rather complex one before ppl k!ll me for this lol). TDJ was more about the cycle of violence and complex, tricky moral dilemmas when it comes to the defenition of "justice" rather than bringing justice to the world itself 😭
