Don't really care what woman hating mdl users anf yaoi soldiers say wen xiao is an amazing, unique and very complex character (my fave among the whole ensemble tbh even though gjm sort of abandoned her char and stopped trying to develop her at some point) and to me cdl put out the he strongest acting performance in this show. She also pulled the biggest uno reverse by how she has great chem with every single one in the cast while so many ppl kept bashing her previously for not having chem with her partners. No matter what relationships she has with another char, she executes the emotions so well I fvcking d!e for her duo with ANYBODY. Sisterly love, romantic love, friendly love. Hell she even has chemistry with the little kids as a big sister 😭 She had chemistry with chars that had a 2 min cameo like she's CRAZY!!!!
All the actors here have previously had the spotlight but cdl is the one who got to show her full potential for the 1st time amd I'm happy for her, even with gjm's shortcomings and how he very expectedly stops caring about female characters after a dozen episodes lol

dir. yin tao is the kind of idol drama director that comes out with very surpringly good stuff out of absolutely nowhere every once in a while so this could turn out to be a very good one while not many are expecting anything from it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I mean they're saying it's super high budget and all but I don't think this is a genre the main leads' fans are particularly into, that's why I'm saying it might end up attracting an unexpectedly different audience if the investigation part is actually good!

so romance confirmed 🫠 well at least I hope it actually blends well and is super subtle bc romance side plot in mystery investigation dramas are usually very cringe and out of place...idk I'm kind of getting sick of and bored with hetero romance and need lulu to explore different geners but her boss is yz so whatever ig. Please just have good writing and do the mystery part justice!!!!
