I'm still not positive abt this project at all but all the nagging abt the costumes is just unnecessary and forced...When fssmm's first leaks and posters came out, the entirety of china was talking abt how the show had the best fantasy drama styling since the early 2000s and blah blah... but everybody turned on the costume designer and said the styling was too much and ugly the moment the show aired and turned out to have really bad writing and prod lol

cfans are kinda reaching now...the 1st couple of costumes looked pretty bad but these new ones actually look great!! Reba is SERVING

one of the biggest mysteries in history of man is WHICH ethnic group this extremely vague portrayal of "exotic" people in Chinese historical dramas referrers to?? Like it's kinda funny to me cause they probably intend it to be abt some central Asian ethnicity but then nobody in there actually dresses like this...like it's just as ridiculous as white people portraying han Chinese women ALWAYS wearing s3xed up qipao and having chopsticks in their hair 😭 and unfortunately they always cast a non han girl in these dramas to get away with the orientalism

I really love quest/adventure storylines in romance fantasy bc when bickering characters go on a journey to fulfill a mission together, they have enough time and many exciting scenarios to explore the fantasy part and also devalop a natural and realistic romance

I'm sorry but I think I have the right to lose all hope and assume the prod team don't give one f about quality when they hold freaking LI YITONG who has dubbed every single one of her characters since her debut at gvnpoint to not let her do it...this woman's line delivery and her beautiful timbre has one of the best reputations among idol actors and you have to be DUMB to not use that to your advantage and have a VA voice her character
