Thia drama has the most insane sound design and dubbing work I've ever seen in a cdrama lmfao it's always so damn obvious when someone's dubbed in a show that uses the on-set recoded audio but here, the dubbing is so natural and the audio is processed in such an insanely careful well that it blends COMPLETELY into the original sound...they almost got me with zlh's va like he sounds crazy similar to his actual voice and that sound design really tricked me for a good 2 hours until I noticed it lol

she doesn't do idol dramas anymore and tbf she deserves some time off shows like this after being treated badly in the industry for so many years 🤷🏻‍♀️ this is the kind of role that needs to go to the mew generation of actors

girl I have to inform you already that this is actually a completely UNSERIOUS campy comedy fantasy idol drama and it was very obvious and evident that it was gonna be like that from day 1. This is the last thing you should be looking forward to if you want to watch a serious drama lmfao

I also don't like li yitong in straight romance and think she looks MUCH better with girls than men but unfortunately we can't always get what we want. Life doesn't work like that so sit your ass down and cope honey ♡

Well it's not just the drama. She took acting classes for 3 months before The double and paused her career for a year or two to do theatre and all. She actually put dedication into improving herself.

They've gotta be white and European imo cause like?? calling that nose big is locked even in East Asia lmfao!^!& Like I don't even hate big noses, it's just that cl does NOT have one 😭

And as for the ml popular actors are a huge NO. The last thing a boss bitch novel adaptation with a big female fanbase needs is a whiny traffic actor with a masculine ego as high as the skies who can't stand not getting all the attention in the world and having to give up his spotlight for a woman lol...Basically 90% of traffic idol actors always sabotage female centric dramas so this definitely needs a HUMBLE man who respects his female partner, has actual charisma and can move his face. (Also no to men with veneers in a historical drama and actors who are too aware of the camera and can't bare to look unsexy for a second)

I'd actually prefer fresh faces and rising actors with potential and a good educational background. (don't wanna be elitist like idc that much abt academic bg as long as actors actually have passion and put effort into learning abt and understanding their job)
I can think of many rising 99 and 2000s girls: Zhao jinmai, li landi, lu yuxiao, wang yinglu, Ren min, song zuer (rip her career). Zhang jingyi is really natural actress too but I personally think she suits roles of calm and collected characters that are good at managing business and all.
Also to the girlies fighting over age in the comments: If they adapt this one day, the fl's character will NOT be 14 in the drama. Romance between a 14 y/o and a 18 y/o is morally questionable and nrta won't allow it anyways so stop fighting lol whoever ends up being cast needs to look acceptable as a 18-20 y/o new adult. That's it.

There was a LOT of drama surrounding a popular xianxia last year and big cdrama accounts on twt made all kinds of unbelievable scenarios up to link all of it back to her and accused her of sabotaging her OWN 1st big show...the hate train has kind of died down a bit since some ppl pointed out the sexism and hypocrisy behind it but it was SO bad like every time there was a post abt her casting rumours they would get bombarded by hate tweets towards her🤦🏻‍♀️ tbh I don't think there was any reason behind the sudden outrage other than ppl disliking her char in the show and wanting to put the blame on the one easier to hate among the cast lol

I really hope gjm has done a decent job writing cdl's char...I need my girl cdl to get a redemption arc after all the unnecessary hate she got last year and the lies ppl spread about her bc they didn't like a chara she played in a fictional show 💀 like I'm walking to china and burning his house if he does bbgril dirty.

They did use filters but I watched it again and genuinely tried to see the "terrible " look you're talking abt 😭 like this actually looks very natural and not even that obvious unless you look closely compared to many other cdramas specially youku's shows which use filters that litterally blur ppl's nose into their skin and makes their face look 3 shades lighter than their neck lmfao

1. In terms of aesthetics it looks horrible.
2. I can't stand rjl's acting.
2. I also can't stand his pr team's superiority complex and the way you can visibly see in every drama of his that he wants the spotlight way too much to the point of sabotaging his fem costars. The source novel was female centric but landi looks like a love interest already based on the trailer.
3. Cockfight between two men over a woman. I HATE this trope.
Overall I have no hope for this tbh and I think even despite rjl's attempts as usual, her fl is too talented this time and will outshine him anyways 😭
