He creates a false sense of self and lies to avoid confrontations with the truth that he's not a gifted writer. "Untalented" and "insecure" is a recipe for disaster

I could see the chemistry, though. Up until episode 7, the MLs connected emotionally and mentally. Words of affirmation, quality time, active listening, gay eye contact and full presence were their love language and prioritized hallmarks in their relationship. They were always down to hang out
Their love got lost in translation when they spoke different love languages. And episodes 7 and 8 fixed that problem. They confessed and connected physically. The warmth and comfort that came with their kisses was incredibly affirming
